I cried while watching the whole video. Back in 2013, suddenly I lost my job, lost my faith upon me, I was shattered and went to mountains. Only my family knows that i was going to north mountain side but they didn't know that i pushed myself for Concordia and it was remarkable, peaceful and show me the new ways of life. While watching the video I got a chance to remembered the time of my life that helped me to shape my future !! Thanks Flora !! Peace
Hey Flora! I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your videos-they're so engaging and feel like a Netflix documentary! Your storytelling is phenomenal, from the way you start to the way you wrap things up. It’s pure filmmaking, especially on such a challenging trek. Your work truly inspires me, and I’m excited to see what you’ll create next! Keep shining! 🌟Keep Exploring Pakistan
"I'm standing here in this beautiful place seeing the mountains right there. How can that be bad, you know?" Absolutly impressive words in such a situation. Appreciating nature and your own health is so important for hikers and adventurers at every moment. Thank you so much for this amazing videos :) Greetings from Germany :)
Amazing!!! I'm very proud of you Flora! This video shows how challenging this trek is, I love how honest you were not just with yourself but with you audience. Kudos to you!
Oh my God. What a great talent you have. Your video shooting quality is not less than BBC or Nat geo. And you are so brave, i being a man of 39 couldn't imagine going on that trek but you did a fantastic job and your decision power is amazing. You are more important than K2 😂
Hello female solo traveller here . I am so excited to share that I'll be visiting Pakistan next month! From everything I've heard, it sounds like a stunning country with a relaxed vibe and welcoming people. I can't wait to experience it all firsthand and share my journey through videos on this channel. Love from the USA PS: support me before I get there
Hi, I have been seeing your comment. Welcome to Pakistan. Just a piece of advice .. find some trustworthy local. I think guy called Ali has facilitated many you tubers, I am advising you because not everyone can have the same experience. Don’t allow people to get selfies with you as you will find trillions of request. Avoid going out in night alone unless you are sure. Best of luck for visit.
Well come in our beautiful country don't trust people with out knowing each everything about him Good and bad people are everywhere in the world,so visit Pakistan with positive frame of mind
What a great documentary, well shot, well narrated and tons of humanity woven into it. I did EBC and got altitude sickness on last day but battled through to Base Camp at 17:30pm which meant endangering my guide as darkness fell quickly and equally so temperatures. We had no torch either. My lesson was that my determination (selfishness) risked the guide's and my own life. I slept in my boots and full kit, so tired I was from the day's events. I missed the dawn trip to Kala Pattar but was just so grateful to have got to Base Camp. No-one is going to think anything but good of you, as you made it to K2 Base Camp, an achievement less than 0.1% of people have ever done and a good one for your CV ! Well done.
What a beautiful story, Flora! It seemed like a huge challenge but that just shows how strong you have been. Many people probably will never experience this in their life. In a world full of edited success stories you showed a beautiful unfiltered real-life story. GGLA pass might be for next time but what a beautiful creation I got to watch today. Porters in your video are heroes of the mountains but you have been a porter to inspire my day - also a true hero ❤
We absolutely love how you capture what the kitchen tent is like. I also admire the talk from your guide that was very real. So sorry you got soo sick. Safe travels Flora, thanks for sharing! :)
Always get excited when I see a new thumbnail of your video pop up and I set everything aside before starting the video so I am not disturbed during. The quality of your videos is nothing like I have seen from majority of the travel youtubers, and i have been following many since almost major part of the decade now. The way you tell the story, the music, typography, color grading, framing and the pauses, everything is perfect.
Great video! I'm so glad you're ok. You look so skinny by the end of the video. You're so strong. What an amazing life adventure. Love the singing! Beautiful. ❤
Your video was brutally honest and beautiful because of its authenticity! Hope amid despair and carrying on despite huge challenges. At the end I was crying but feeling elated as well! Very few people have the ability to evoke such diverse emotions! Hats off to you for your resilience and determination 💕
You made an incredible authentic video. Thanks for sharing. Your sickness reminded me of my kismet when I got sick on EBC before Lobuche and had to return.
Een geweldig verhaal om te volgen met fantastische beelden, maar het állermooist vond ik jouw eerbetoon op het laatst aan de prachtige karakteristieke sherpas💯❤❤
It really takes courage and a lot of character to sum up a tour with all the positives instead of crying about the things we couldn't do. Your take on the gain from your tour was simply impressive. And the concluding note about the porters really showed how humble and considerate you are as a human being that you liked to give people their deserving share in your amazing story, cheers 🎉
That was a great video Flora! It's really nice to view nature up close and appreciate it in this day and age when everyone is busy with their lives. Also, appreciate those hard working men who work tirelessly on the mountains. Waiting for more of your uploads eagerly. Bon voyage!
Wauw!! Wat een "once in a lifetime" belevenis en wat een geweldig avontuur! Heel mooi in beeld gebracht. Ben zwaar onder de indruk. Blijf genieten en kom heelhuids terug.
Irrespective of whether we see the K2 or GGLA, your videos are fulfilling ones. Your experiences and exploring yourself throughout the journey gives a good lived experience for people like us. Thanks for covering the beautiful journey, there's so much to reflect upon.
To be honest; I would not eat new foods ((omg that pizza?) before a physically demanding and life threatening adventure! You did great by turning back! You’re a winner in decision making! 👆👌👍
Flora you are such a brave lady and I mean it. I have seen all of your vidoes and always found you on a high spirit and motivated. We loved your world's toughest k2 Trek. I also want do this trek but i know i cannot. I am not a physically and mentally strong as you. I wish i could do half of this trek. You stay strong, take care of your health and enjoy the life.
Thank you so much for sharing this journey. I am so sorry you got so ill, but such is mountain travel. I have travelled extensively in Nepal, Tibet and Indian Himalaya, climbing many peaks, but somehow never fitted in the Karakoram. Age and declining health mean it is now too late for to get there. Your film has really made me feel I have been there 9without having to suffer!), for which I am very grateful. You have a great talent for communication. I wish you well, and look forward to seeing more of your adventures. Bless you❤️
It’s true that sometimes despite our efforts, achieving what we want can feel just out of reach. Yet, each hardship can teach us valuable lessons about resilience and determination. Surrendering to destiny can be tough, but it might also lead to new opportunities. Awesome video ❤
I am happy that you put your dream a side and didn't went for GGLA as it isn't just steep but also very hard. Good luck for next time. And am happy that you made it to towns.
You have no idea how much your journey is inspiring me to overcome my fear of hiking and heights. My first experience of hiking was not so great but am always open for learning new things and now i am going to another hiking in the near future. I hope i can complete that hiking. Wish me luck Flora.
So heartwarming and inspiring! Though tough to see how some tiny microbe can make things on a much larger scale go into a completely unplanned direction!
What an incredible video with such a beautiful lesson about confronting one's own humanity in the face of incredible challenges unforseen. Bravo to you for braving through such incredible conditions with such grace, humility, and kindness to all those around you while at the same time underscoring the incredible fortitude and uplifting of the human spirit by the amazing team around you. Truly inspiring! Thank you for sharing! 😀
I got so emotional watching this! You are just making me fall in love with Pakistan over and over again! I’m a Sri Lankan and I discover a lot over here and have been enjoying my life here! Pakistan is definitely going to be my next destination! Seems likes it’s going to be my next favorite destination ❤️
So sorry you didn’t get to finish your K2 Basecamp journey but your health is most important for all of your future adventures. I hope you have recovered well!
I've been following you for quite some time now, Flora, I love watching your content and this was by far my favourite video of yours....the only problem is it ended tooo soon...you conveyed your feelings and emotions so beautifully and all the frames were worth rewinding again. You're SO warm and strong and as a Pakistani the way you have shown our country means a lot! Thank you for bringing your beautiful soul to our country. Ps I really hope you're feeling amazing now!! (after all the puking......)
sorry that you didnt get to see the view of K2. However Good news you are still alive. Being able to get back safe and sound and sick in one of the hardest track became bigger challenge.

This journey is like watching a movie. I know it's not an easy job to film during such a tough journey, hats off to you 👏 i hope you will get there next time.
Amazing video. What about a shout out to the mules as well as the porters? They don't even get a say in having to lug stuff, including ambitious but sick humans around in challenging, unnatural terrain for them. They would much prefer to be galloping around the plains. That aside I am grateful for the inspiration and opportunity to share your experience at some level, including feeling the sick days! The scenery is incredible and tempting for a keen hiker like myself.
It's never easy to be at a place where life is at risk...So it's great to see your HHHH: always Hoping for the best despite all hardships, Helping yourself mentally and accepting the things which were beyond your ability to change, Healing your heart with what is achieved and returning back with Happiness. 👍👍✨💫
You have done so good these mountains region are so tough to hike even a healthy person do it with a lot of difficulties like you fight with your sick ness our bodies who lived on plain terrain are not able to bear continuous fatigue and eventually we got sickness
Happy to see the second video of your journey. You are powerful and did your best in this challenging expedition. Let me tell you, this is not at all easy. In the first part of your journey, you said that the K-2 base camp journey is easier the Everest till that point. But I personally feel that the K-2 base camp journey is the toughest in the world. Because it's natural and unpredictable all the way. Base camp is one part, but climbing K-2 is surely life-threatening as well.
Greetings from Pakistan. Wow! that was extremely emotional. Use of beautiful words and well crafted sentences has always been your forte but this trip and vlog was something out of this world. So original, so genuine and so natural. Loved every minute of it. Just a great piece of learning for all. It is in the most difficult of situations that we actually learn a lot. I am sure after completing this epic trip or adventure you yourself would have felt that it was a great learning experience. For us, it was another amazing vlog by yourself. May God the Almighty grant you success in everything that you. Best wishes for the channel. With warm regards
