Hi, did you do the street port mod? How is the RX-8? I maybe also want to get an RX-8 for myself.
@@lightchips6164 Hi. No I haven't got round to it. I took mine up to RotaryRevs (now Motorsport And Performance (MAP)) and had a compression test. Results were in the mid 6's and low 7's, so the chap advised I've still got lots of life in the engine and it would be a waste to strip it down now and do the streetport. In future I will, probably once I do the rebuild at the same time.
@@lightchips6164 Hi. No I haven't. I had a compression test in the mid 6's and low 7's. Engine still in good condition so Rotary Revs advised it's not worth tearing the engine down at this stage. When I do a rebuild I will likely do a street port at the same time.

Habbo I know you've only got limited upgrades to your car now, but can you list what you've actually done & where the parts can be bought from? I have the same model as you. Mine will be getting ported with you guys in the coming months. Thanks
Sure thing, so in terms of engine upgrades it's been fully rebuild with brand new Mazda OEM seals and bearings, Fresh housings and Irons. This will give the car the highest compression possible which is the key to making power out of these engines. Rotary Revs street port with Mazda OEM coils, NKG spark Plugs, Racing Beat front air duck with stock Mazda Air Box. Lightened Fly Wheel, Short Throw Shifter. JapSpeed Manifold with a RB Duel Res centre section and a Pettit Catback. There is a bunch of handling upgrades and visual too but i'm sure you just wanted to know the engine performance upgrades 😎
I live down in Surrey, mostly stock 05 RX8. Engine not been tampered with. Worth driving up to guys to have her ecu tuned to make sure she's running perfectly?

can i Bridgeport a 6 port NA 13b?, someone told me the effects are not as great as 4 ports
Looking at getting an R3 and came across this comment lol so random. Anyways I’m rebuilding my 6 port N/A for my FC and though your statement is mostly true it can still be done and will still sound and drive great! Driven one already prior to rebuilding my own.
The six ports are arguably the far better engine, as the flow is more effective across all ranges. The truth in that statement is the 4 ports are more restricted, so any porting makes more of an effect.

@@RotaryRevs fantastic, I think it is the only manifold I found with 3' inch exit flange (almost, like 2.9 or something) connects with full 3' pettit catback system
For the upcoming Q&A - How much did it cost to build that street port engine?
In Australia it’s about $10,000 AUD for street port plus all new seals etc
This specific engine cost just over £4,300 including new sump, porting, re-surfaced housings, ignition system and tuning 🚀

Nothing too crazy on Habbo's R3. Mainly stock other than a free flowing exhaust system from top to bottom 🔥
Wait, did habbo undo the race extension?
Yes, Habbo sold his race extension engine to a good friend and customer of ours who will be using it for the right purposes 😁
