What experience in your life encouraged you to make a step you were previously not sure about making?
Have him and the girlfriend spend a whole 2 weeks at a clothing option beach/ resort. In answer to your question. Going to college was an enormous mistake and waste of time. My experience there has made me adamant about finding and starting my own business in order to avoid college and/ or other similar institutions of illrepute.
Unpopular opinion, but this Millennial agrees with your mother wholeheartedly! Get married and stay out of the same bedroom till you do. 🙃
Your mom seems really cool and your parents must be proud to have as talented a son as you!
Stop deflecting this back on to us and marry your girlfriend already! The governmental recognition is just a prudent social-safety net!
Amazing family and I think maybe mum deserves to see that wedding 🤣
I said that before you began considering marriage 🤣

MortalDestroyer 50 wrong video dude
If your gonna do the deed do it Braveheart style, just you and her with a celebrant to make it official. I've always said if I was gonna get married it's a pledge I make to my significant other and I don't need 20 people to testify to that (or come for the free drinks).

Lol when he realised his mom and girlfriend are really similar 😂😂😂
@Yeetus Defeetus ....he meant personality wise....
@Yeetus Defeetus Race is only skin deep, the stuff that REALLY matters show they are very similar people. His mom: extremely motivated, physically active, martial arts instructor. His Girlfriend: extremely motivated, fitness fanatic, professional stunt woman. Yeah, they have nothing in common.
@Yeetus Defeetus Only to shallow or racist people. Personality wise and temperament his girlfriend and mom are almost identical.
@Yeetus Defeetus you have never seen either of them. Instead of covering up your racism, get rid of it.
Yeetus Defeetus ur a different kind of special...
I think he’s revealed more about his personal life in this episode than in any other

One more thing. Your mother is officially my new hero after standing up for your girl like that in front of the small town locals. That is AWESOME. :)
I love how his mom has such a positive relationship with his girlfriend. Its so sweet
Best mother ever - just shows that she knows what love really is :)

As an asian, its more unusual for people to leave home unless you are married.
yeap
Yea my parent’s house is nice and I’m dumb
Same for Hispanics haha. I so badly want to leave but at the same time, don’t want to/can’t
Yes but which part of Asia, it is a massive continent
@@alcoholicwitharatproblem4211 basically all asians have a similar experience of living at home until you get married, some get married and continue living at home. i still live at home with my parents, i have my own 4 room apartment i rent out for extra income, i use it to pay the utilities and cellphone bills, the rest is like extra savings and pocket money.
When I moved out my mom asked me “why I did this to her”. Ahhhh Hispanic mothers. I was 27.
I'm 20, and I'm very independent. I want to move out to have my own room and more freedom. But everytime I ask her to let me be, its like I've insulted our ancestors. But I have realized a lot of my cousins live with their parents until they are older or married

@@slimeguyry It's not really meant to be funny. Basically most fathers don't care what their sons do for a living so long as they get paid well for doing it. The people that liked it didn't do it because they thought it was funny, but because they could relate.

@crusader 1 that and for the sadists who watch the show.
😫😖😢😭🤔😂😀😑😑
Is it just me or do we all feel personally invested in their relationship?😂😭
I know I do.
I had to move back in with my mom after surviving an abusive marriage. My mom, my daughter and I are extremely close. We are more equals now than before, but it definitely can be challenging at times. My Grandma lived right next door to us. She died 3 days after Christmas. I can't tell you how much it meant, and still means to me to have been so close to her and my mother these last years. Sure, it was restrictive and all that, but I wouldn't change the time I got with my Grandma for anything in the world, and my now 13-year-old daughter got to be best friends with her great grandmother. Love your family, y'all! You never know when the next conversation with them will be your last. Peace and love everyone!
I lost my nan on the 15th July and we was in the middle of a game of rummikub when she died and her last words were “ I love you”

I think the most painful thing in this video is hearing he and his dad have PTSD...
What is ptsd
@@zoobiaawan545 postt dramatic stress disorder
Post traumatic stress disorder
I’ve read that many veterans have it. Some just experience worse symptoms than others. That’s why it’s hard to determine if someone actually has it.
@@zoobiaawan545 Having lived with PTSD for a long while I can tell you exactly what it is.
PTSD stands for "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" and is caused when something happens that is life threatening, extremely dangerous to you/someone you care about, or someone is hurt badly in front of you it can leave an impression on you that you may not consider a problem right away.
If you heal from the event and it no longer bothers you then you can go on to live a normal life.
What happens in PTSD is that the event/events get stuck on a loop in your brain and can begin to disrupt life in ways you might not expect. It usually starts with anxiety... anxiety over what happened, anxiety that it could happen again, anxiety that you might not ever be safe again, etc.
Somewhere along the way though, this anxiety leads to flashbacks of the events, nervous ticks that you feel you must do or you'll be unsafe (similar in nature to obsessive compulsive disorders), sleep disturbances, lapses in memory, a 1000 yard stare when having a momentary flashback (may only be a few seconds but could be longer), and lots and lots of undesirable fear that you're losing yourself in it, and an indescribable feeling that you must be on alert AT ALL TIMES.
For some their PTSD symptoms are minimal, maybe some anxiety and sleep disturbances. But for most they will experience many if not all of these things to varying degrees until they come to terms with the events that sparked it and/or get professional help to do so.
It is something that can tear apart families and ruin relationships because when you experience it, trusting others can be next to impossible even if you know you trust them with your life, you can still feel danger at every turn, and it can make you feel like less of a person, guilty for actions you might have had to take, or like others can't appreciate the dangers they are in even if you know that isn't true, which can lead to you becoming overbearing to those around you, or a constant downer to be around, or the worst possible outcome you could even become a literal danger to yourself or (more rarely) those around you if you get stuck in a flashback and you don't realize you're not in that situation anymore and the people around you aren't the people that were there at the time of the trauma.
It truly is something we don't talk nearly enough about in our country and is most often why people with PTSD can be so rigid in how they view the world and the things they do to protect themselves and those they care about.
Especially for vets who were trained to be rigid in their approach to situations and dangers to begin with. So what one person might see as overbearing and unnecessary might just be the other person's attempt to protect you even though you may not need the protecting.
It's a hard situation to live with for both the person with PTSD and their loved ones. It's like the fight or flight portion of the brain gets stuck in the always on position and all you can do is try your best to not let it get the best of you.
It's so much more than simple anxiety, and often anxiety meds won't help much other than to calm you down when it's getting way out of control, but it also causes depression, suicidal wishes, an inability to reach out for fear of being seen as weak or fear of having to relive the events in a therapy session, etc.
I wish I could impart just how much it can affect your life when it gets bad, but most people with PTSD can make it appear as if they have nothing wrong with them, for some it won't be so bad, for others it can often lead to homelessness... It's why it's so hard to treat.
The person with PTSD must be ready to deal with what has happened to them, what they might have been forced to do, and must be ready to ask for help even if it terrifies them.
If you know someone that is diagnosed with PTSD or exhibits a lot of these symptoms please gently ask them to talk to someone... you could save a life.
There is a high rate of suicide among those with PTSD and the truth is if you can face the fears of getting help and what that might mean to you, you have a really high chance of being helped and no longer having to feel so bad. Nothing can take away your experiences but you don't have to live every day on edge and afraid.

@Gim Paul I'm a Hong Konger and I approve this massage, people in their 30s still living with their parents here, but there's no shame about it as long as your circle is the same majority here. Housing is kind of luxury here.

Seriously that's appreciation for the elder
In most asian countries usually parents retire and stays in the childrens house with them
My parents split when i was young
Living with dad: Definitely is not great in the least, in fact i would rather be homeless, we clash
However
Living with my mother: Isn't terrible at all, we get along great couldn't ask for a better mother. I've always enjoyed a lot of freedom growing up. (Grew up living with mom.) So the dynamic between us isn't awkward. The only real reason id live with mother is to help her out when she gets older, like she did so much for me as a kid i want to make sure she lives a comfy life in her end days.
Can't relate about that first part but can somewhat relate with wanting to take care of your own mother part. Although only problem is my mother doesn't want me to do that for her and may have implied that she wanted me to find a girlfriend, get married and have kids so she can have grandchildren.
The fact that you said end days is just heartbreaking: (

Seeing this video makes me glad that us Filipinos values family first. having meal together, talking together, celebrating with one another. Sure, those nagging and expectations of you getting a family of your own, but I guess its one things for certain that you're being reminded that you are loved. same for me. since yesterday. lets just try to make the best of it and find new oppertunities
Ive been living with my parents back before the pandemic happened and then it just happened and I kinda fell out of touch with what my future goals were. I was independent for several years and moving back in was everything this video mentions. From the Alpha tension to the old habits picking where i left off when i first moved away. Its a knarly experience but I guess the best thing to do is to make the most of it and help the people you trust and think about building more to the land you are on.

the ending where you are considering getting married made me cry a little bit, you should definitely get married, on your own time of course, when you are both ready.
The last years and a half I went from becoming dependent on my parents to being independent and having my parents dependent on me because my dad the provider of the house got very very ill and hadn’t worked in a year. So I didn’t move out I haven’t moved out for longer than three months but I went from being a single dependent adult to being a single independent adult with 3 dependent people. At the age of 20.
