I used to take my switch+accessories with me everywhere I went. Now I just take my phone and controller. Remote play is freaking awesome. I play everywhere I am, even without wifi, thanks to my unlimited 5G through Verizon. Also runs really nice on my iPhone 13 PM. So thankful I found out about remote play.
I’m so excited about this new update i hope I will be able to play cyberpunk 2077 like this on the go or in another room when the family wants the big tv
@@NYSLLeo it can be up to a half second but since the router is on the other side of my door basically I don’t have much lag. It just makes you have to squint a bit more at times to see some things depending on the game. And I would not recommend it for PVP unless it’s like a racing game or something

Mine doesn’t work with the ethernet cable, I’m not sure if it works wireless but your phone can’t have a wired internet connection so it must be that you have to be playing wireless wifi on the Xbox and phone
All ticks on the remote play network test on my Series X, but I’ve tried two different iPhones and an iPad, and the connection is so temperamental 😅 hopefully Xbox will update the iOS app in the future optimise it better

@@JDiPaolo98 There’s a few ways to tell if you have the correct controller. If in the middle of the controller around the home button is plastic, it’s a 1st gen controller and won’t have Bluetooth. The obvious if you can connect it wirelessly, chances are it does. Just hold the top button down for a few seconds after the controller is turned on and you should see it on whatever device you have, may have to refresh the list, but usually just pops up. If you know all this/have tried already sorry to waste your time of reading xD Just trying to be helpful.
Ok another thing is you can’t use it if ur controller dosent have a divit at the top. (Ones you can’t use have a little shiny thing near Xbox button instead of a Ort that goes down
if it still isnt working, go to settings > xbox app> and then make sure local network is turned on. i was having the same problem, then i fixed it by doing this.
When I try to connect my phone to my Xbox on the app it only gives me the option to “setup a new console” or “add an existing console” but when I click on the first one it ask for a code on the tv but I don’t see it and when I click on the second option it tells me to sign in but I’m already signed in on my Xbox
Same issue..when I click on add existing, my gamer tag shows up and says to sign into my account on Xbox which I do/ and iam signed in but then nothing
Have everything set up, ran the test on the console and it says I’m all good to go. Have been trying to get it to work for 3 days now and all I get is “Try again in a bit.”
I found a fix for my issue. I opened the app and went to library and then consoles. For some reason it had two Xbox One’s listed. I clicked on the one that said it was on and presto, was able to start streaming. Hope this works for anyone else with this issue.

It won’t let me connect if I’m not on the same internet. I have to be connected to the WiFi, I tried connecting using my mobile data but it won’t work?
For iPhone go to Settings > Xbox App > make sure “Local Network” is turned on.. also make sure “remote play” is enabled in your device setting on the Xbox. It should connect automatically after that..
