Some of Cotton’s predictions are so on point, it’s really impressive. But other changes coming to Wilds are so dramatic that he didn’t even consider them. When Cotton sees the seamless map and the new quest system, it’s going to blow his sweet pink mind.

I know things are already set in motion, but am I the only one who thinks it would be cool to flip the roles of who's blind and who isn't? Maybe for the NEXT next MH game?

Cotton forgot his medication today lol, some of this video would be amazing but so unrealistic, and some sound like a great idea once but on a huge loop like MH will get so annoying
It's amazing how the team is keeping Cotton out of the loop. It isn't a single person making this happen but a whole community. I can see Josh always grinning everytime he talks to Cotten.

Cotton saying ‘On the horizon’ got me thinking, Horizon would be a really good name for the equivalent paid expansion for Wilds like Iceborne and Sunbreak.
I can't wait to watch the Pro and Noob series for Wilds. Cotton is going to have his mind absolutely blown, and it's going to be awesome.

1&2-[N/A]we dont know yet, returning monster/ how the maps work. Tho the wege beetle is back
3- [wrong] just flat out wrong, mostly. i cant imagine a mh without the Palacio other then mh 1
4-[N/A] we dont know if there any special attacks on the mount, really cool idea tho
5-[wrong]unfortunatly not, the devs already stated they want to focus on refinding the 14 weapons.... Again. I really hate it been 10 years of no new weapons. There only so many time you can refined the same weapons till you run out of ideas.
6- [correct]the herds mechanic does exist, and you need to separate the alpha from the herd, with dung pod, and using the environment. we have some info but we dont know everything about it yet
7-[somewhat] ray dau spawns when the storm comes and probably attack you but i dont know pecifically anything else
8-[wrong] you can attack, sharpen, gather and heal while mounted. You have camps you can set up in safe or dangerous location. And if the pouch work like how cotton want, they need to make an exception to gunner ammo or just fuck over all gunners were you cant do shit with out needong restocking on the mount ever 30 secs.
9-[N/A] i haven't seen or read this existing but it be ready cool of they did
10-[mostly correct] it a hook claw, it just use to shoot slinger and gather materials. It does get use in some attacks for movement

I will say all the monsters we’ve seen so far being new is super refreshing. I don’t want no returning monsters but I def want way more new ones.

I only want 2 things right now from wilds. 1. A demo before release. 2. Don't release in the same month as the freedom wars remaster. I want more people to experience that game, and i want some time to play it before wilds.

Rathalos with no other returning monsters, including Rathian, is a bold call for sure
Cotton reminds me of how exciting it was to just have 1, maybe 2, trailers for a movie or game before it released. We just got an idea of the story/ game play.
I know the downside is if it was a bad movie/game we wouldn't know until it came out.
Not gonna lie, few guesses were extremely wild, but I really wish some others will be in the game. I didn't know i needed the raptor for the palico, but i absolutely want it even if it's very unlikely to have. Also the flying base would be such a cool concept, maybe we already had one in the past but my, not so accurate, knowledge is not informed about it.
Can we get Cotton a bingo board of his predictions so when the game comes out we can track how right he is? I think it would be fun seeing him get to rub it in if he gets a bingo

it's such a shame that the nemesis system in shadow of mordor is patented, so no devs are legally allowed to use it besides the ones ownning it, and it's such a creativity killer in gaming

I want returning monster to be in this game. Here’s a list of my favorites I want to return for Wilds specifically: Diablos, Monoblos, Najarala, Gypceros, Hypnocatrice, Tigrex, Gammoth, Shin Gaoren, Lao Shan Lung, and Dalamadur.
Some of these are eerily on point, then others are provably wrong, but that's the nature of blind speculation. It's fun to hear Cotton's ideas roll off that pink hair of his.

Almost certainly, especially since Capcom is basically giving more monster interactions and mechanics, I would imagine that the Raths would actively try to avoid hitting each other just like the dosaguma’s do in their packs

Not crazy about carrying 2 weapons in, seems like too much effort to keep up with to me. But im a 1 trick hbg type. I already have to juggle ammo and radial menus like mad. I hope they dont make fights feel the need to expose parts to be 30% more efficient.
It seems palicoes will stay out of field work, may be at camps only.

Cotton has my respect for choosing to stay as blind as humanly possible. Naturally, I won’t say about any of his ideas being already confirmed or disproven, though I hope he doesn’t set himself up for disappointment if anything he is hoping for proves to not be the case. Hope is as delicate a tool for keeping us going as easily as it can be crushed due to reality not being what we hoped. Regardless, I’m looking forward to next year and seeing how he reacts to all the things we already know, mixed with those jumping in blind as well. Ang honestly, I am also in the camp of wanting more new monsters than returning monsters like in Tri, because I think that would be a more worthwhile first time. Will that happen? Probably not. But I think it’d be very impactful if that were the case, then to have a good deal of returning monsters for the eventual expansion.
