People in India really don't understand the concept of brand value and keep analysing it purely on actual value.. but this bike is not about actual value.. That's what disappoints people.. and they give bad reviews.. you have to know the compromise you are getting into before buying the machine.. not after you have bought it.

I am on the fence with this bike. Gave up biking about 10 years ago, had a Karizma 2004 model back then. I think the GS310 would be a great successor on getting me back.

Please think 100 times before booking this bike it is a waste of money since after purchasing this bike you need another 50-60k for guard engine plate etc etc this a basics accessories which we are talking about and if you are going ahead with the accessories which Nomad Sam has installed you will have to put 4lac additional on a 3.60lac bike... Think and spend your hard earn money wisely...

Mate!!! I’m not even looking to buy this bike… or any bike for that matter. I just came back for Ladakh and had hired a Himalayan in Leh for 10 day which rekindled my interest in riding after about 15 years. So i somehow came across your video. The points you made were very real. Especially the point you made about the spokes. Riding in Ladakh is not trail riding for sure. And you dont always need ‘the best’ to be the top achiever. Pretty sure most bikes are limited in their performance by their riders - as you pointed out.
Inside my heart I want a light weight tourer !! Had shifted my decision to but Benelli 502 trk . But listening to you I realised that light weight is what I always enjoyed . Owned a pulsar 135 since 2011 and enjoyed it cutting through the traffic so much . And I actually rode the pulsar 135 - Blr-Hyd, Blr - Goa, Hyd - Chennai and short rides. Well said li utilise the bike 100 percent instead 10 percent !

@@NomadSam yes Sam... I test rode 390 adv and found its suspension not at all gentle. My wife complained and that’s off the list. Also there is lot of noise from chain and engine when I test rode . 310 GS is definitely the best in terms of suspension and also I could handle 310 GS like a street bike ... I will definitely use the bike more thoroughly than any other adv ! So Bmw 310 GS it is !! Your video came in just nick of time 😜😜🤪 I would have booked binelli by this weekend 👍

I see you also needed some customisation but I agree that the suspension on the KTM 390 Adv is a true screw up or planted PITA … Can you share the customisations you had to make to keep this bike ride ready? I am still deciding between the KTM and BMW GS310… clearly I love the looks of the BMW but I feel I am getting suckered in if I go for it considering I’m overlooking the power and torque of the KTM and all the added features on offer like turn by turn nav and good traction control
@@NomadSam may be because of the GoPro view I found the Handlebar a little straight than that of 390 ADV, so I eager that is it any kind of mod or any custom Handlebar
I am not sure.. Although looking from far.. I can say that BMW is lighter but Himalayan should be faster and hoping it is as good as the previous Himalayan.. in ride comfort.. then it makes a compelling case
Rest in off road .. Himalayan I feel might be more tedious because of weight.. but if it is Highway crusing and a bit of mild off road.. then I feel Himalayan should be better.. But this is all guess work really

I am not in a position to guide on that front.. although I don't think one should buy cheaper bikes pre-owned unless absolutely necessary.. just my opinion

Yes this bike is very competent in city duties for sure.. if you are into highway rides a lot.. the bike might disappoint you with the power Delivery.. but upto 90kmph this bike is simply awesome.. So mountain roads broken roads city roads no issue

All you need to do is ask your bank to finance.. contact the bank.. they will handle it.. and registeration you can get a temporary number plate done at the place you buy it from and get the bike back within the month.
My wife didn't feel comfortable sitting behind.. I guess she has been spoilt by luxury 😂🤣 .. But going by what everyone is saying.. the pillion comfort is awesome! I unfortunately don't have first hand knowledge of this.. as I don't have a pillion 🤣😂

R is is the road biased version.. more of a city bike.. easier to manage in the city.. more flickable .. GS is the more off-road biased motorcycle.. more tuned for bad roads .. less flickable but easily manageable in the city.. slightly lesser than R.

It is a great bike.. if you are buying it for the purpose it is meant for.. Otherwise for mostly highway riding the experience will be better on 390 Adv
I won't say as much.. you need to be used to riding tall bikes.. in trails etc you will find issues in certain scenarios.. in city it won't be that big an issue.. but still it will require you to ride differently than a conventional bike
If you are mostly On roads and can get past the looks then Adv 390 Fundamentally BMW is a better bike but it is slightly underpowered in my opinion for highway runs
All the points you mentioned are true bro👏👏👏. Another point can be added that: "despite being such huge bike with a long wheelbase it's turning radius is pretty small"

Yes this bike is very competent in city duties for sure.. if you are into highway rides a lot.. the bike might disappoint you with the power Delivery.. but upto 90kmph this bike is simply awesome..

All you need to do is ask your bank to finance.. contact the bank.. they will handle it.. and registeration you can get a temporary number plate done at the place you buy it from and get the bike back within the month.

I will buying plan bmw bike wich bike buying me 310r or 310gs
I am not rider but some time ride to frnd 6 months 2000km to 3000km we ride
R is is the road biased version.. more of a city bike.. easier to manage in the city.. more flickable .. GS is the more off-road biased motorcycle.. more tuned for bad roads .. less flickable but easily manageable in the city.. slightly lesser than R.
You can buy any of the 2.. both are great for city.. GS will just be a more comfortable ride.. & taller.. think of it like a SUV

It is a great bike.. if you are buying it for the purpose it is meant for.. Otherwise for mostly highway riding the experience will be better on 390 Adv

I won't say as much.. you need to be used to riding tall bikes.. in trails etc you will find issues in certain scenarios.. in city it won't be that big an issue.. but still it will require you to ride differently than a conventional bike

KTM ADVENTURE 390 or BMW G 310 GS ????
For long onroad trips or 80 /20 onroad off-road I feel ktm 390 adv .. for a mix of 60 / 40 on road off-road bmw hands down.

Fundamentally BMW is a better bike but it is slightly underpowered in my opinion for highway runs
