Previously I owned a r15 s and after its purchase got introduced to touring and its a great bike in every aspect, even the riding position was nothing to complain for the most part (my perspective)... BUT that suspension... OMG! it's so hard and it's the character of that bike. .... And now got BMW g310gs and just completed a 1300km ride and I enjoyed every bit... Especially on the bad roads... Beautiful suspension yet with stability
In the long run, I say BMW is the most effective one. Being a RE owner, it’s one hell of a job to keep the bike going smooth all the time. Every month it’ll have one or the other issue. BMW for the ones who care about peace of mind, himalayan for the ones who love to take tension and risk, ktm 250 is for the one who has no brain.
NIKHIL S KUMAR Sagar Sheldekar has already reported that there are no reliability issues on his BS6 Himalayan Long term bike. So there goes your BS claim. Its about time you RE haters came up with some new material apart from reliability and vibrations which are a thing of the past now.

This is by far the best review I have seen in a while. Content is really good and has useful information. Video quality is really good as well as music choice. The audio or voice recording is good but it could improve. Microphone abounds muffled sometimes. No biggie. The chemistry you guys have is awesome. It feels like you are hanging out with friends taking about vehicles. You guys have a future in tv together.

Xpulse 200 would be perfect choice, its rugged, reliable & very cheap to maintain plus we'll get hero service center in every corner of country. Himalayan is good but it needs to loose weight, 199kg with just 24ps/32nm.

Himalayan is the best bro ❤️no confusions u get a best value for money vehicle with best comfort and performance .far best than dominar in all ways including mileage .king of offroading.service n reliability is far ahead of bajaj.even short riders can ride it and handling is very good a bit heavy that's all.take a test drive u will know y many people loves himalayan.
I'm a ktm fanboy but they definitely screwed the pooch on this one, the price is not justified at all 😂 They could have Atleast thrown in the quickshifter if nothing else
Not sure about the other 2 but the Himalayan definitely has a lot of credentials around most gruelling terrains around the world. Globally certified to do the job with little fuss.

Also, the updated colors and reduced price have made it even better. 2) Surprising to see that the problems in the earlier Himalayans have been overcome and its as smooth (if not more) at 100 kmph! I would rather save the 80K premium, and spend ~50K on world class touring accessories for the Himalayan, and the remaining on petrol to tour India. 3) Also, if the future holds a Himalayan on the 650 cc parallel twin platform, it would decimate them all!

Bhai...7 ads? all Audi? kya yaar.... anyways, 250 Duke owner and to answer a few of Kathik's dilemmas when comparing the 250 adv vs the 250 duke, you must have experienced a bs3 or bs4 era model...the BS6 250 Duke I own has the same extremely stiff suspension and thereby the pathetic ride quality and the motor is no longer that much capable as that of it's BS3 or BS4 predecessor .....I feel like 250 Gixxers can at times give mine a run for it's money...and that abysmal low end....i feel like an MT15 can keep up in bumper to bumper traffic and up till 0-60...I have ridden a BS4 250 Duke and that feels like it will go airborne post 6000rpm..mine lacks a bit of that kick/punch...
RE Himalayan got late, As usual engine heated and coil jal gaya. 😅🤣😂 Even Engine heating issue is in BMW and KTM as well, but not such problems like RE Himalayan. Coil set jal jana. Re Himalayan High displacement engine with air cooled system (Matlab seriously), and so low power and torque. Whereas KTM at second highest displacement, so medium power and Torque. But the BMW is best Lowest displacement with High power and Torque. But with BMW issue is above 100 engine vibration starts, but not like RE Himalayan. I test rided all 3 bikes luckily 😜.
ktm makes one of the best tourer/offroading bikes, but they fail to make a good one in small CC like 250 n 390, they are more gt bikes than advs. gs for the win this time

Nice video and i own Himalayan BS4, i would like to drive the other 2 as well. Instrument cluster sucks big time as i see many Himalayan user complain of fogging and sweating including me.
Nowadays Royal Enfield is more sensible to buy that KTM, RE is making reliable engine for some time now, service centers all over country , easy availability of parts, Lesser price Tag comparing to other companies. RE Bullys doesn't have a topic nowadays.
If those bikes with that amount of horse power can not do more than 100 kmph comfortably, then I would choose xpulse bcz it can do 95 kmph comfortably and I can buy it at half price of the ktm or bmw..
I guess this is the reason why Mahindra Mojo (which for some strange reason automobile media mags / bike reviewers have always ignored) is "THE BEST ADV-TOURER" you can buy in India. Just think about these points about Mojo > Far superior built quality (Less plastic & also it wont rust and evaporate into thin air) > Relaxed ergonomics for super comfortable long distance touring (Rider triangle is spot on and even the pillion comfort is much better than any of the bikes showcased here) > 21 litre fuel tank > Wide & raised handle bar, easy to saddle over muddy trails/off-road > Gem of an engine with adequate power & torque, Liquid cooled, fully adjustable rear suspension, slick 6 speed gear box > Brilliant brakes, especially the front disk has amazing bite & stopping power > VFM even with the BS6 avatar (approx 2.55L onroad) > Easy on the pocket service & maintainence cost I hope these points help you all to make the right decision on your Adv- Tourer. Read before Buying. I have Himalayan BS6. In the span of Two years I had to change 1) speedometer 2) Chain 3) Front Shocker oilseal 4) Handle bar Cone set and Now my bike is Down With 5) Engine HEAD AND VALVE PROBLEM! My bike has stopped when I was cruising at 90km/hr ! Can you imagine two years old bike with not more than 15000km Run worth 2.5 lac developed serious engine problem! I'd recommend not to waste 2.5/7 lac on buying garbage. Soon I'll shoot video in service centre about this problem and upload on different sites. Seriously regretting my decision to buy Himalayan. Will make others aware about the poor built quality of bike.

Maintenance cost of BMW GS is also very high, as good as maintenance of a premium car... around 8000 to 9000 pet service (Aug 2021)

If those bikes with that amount of horse power can not do more than 100 kmph comfortably, then I would choose xpulse bcz it can do 95 kmph comfortably and I can buy it at half price of the ktm or bmw..

I guess this is the reason why Mahindra Mojo (which for some strange reason automobile media mags / bike reviewers have always ignored) is "THE BEST ADV-TOURER" you can buy in India. Just think about these points about Mojo > Far superior built quality (Less plastic & also it wont rust and evaporate into thin air)

Read before Buying.
I have Himalayan BS6. In the span of Two years I had to change 1) speedometer 2) Chain 3) Front Shocker oilseal 4) Handle bar Cone set and Now my bike is Down With 5) Engine HEAD AND VALVE PROBLEM! My bike has stopped when I was cruising at 90km/hr ! Can you imagine two years old bike with not more than 15000km Run worth 2.5 lac developed serious engine problem! I'd recommend not to waste 2.5/7 lac on buying garbage.
Soon I'll shoot video in service centre about this problem and upload on different sites.
Seriously regretting my decision to buy Himalayan. Will make others aware about the poor built quality of bike.
