CAPE HATTERAS NATIONAL SEASHORE: Scamping at Frisco Campground in the Outer Banks of NC!

- On a long Memorial Day weekend we decide to take a Scamping trip to the OBX! Since we are looking for some relaxation we choose to stay at the Frisco Campground on the southern portion of Hatteras Island - a quieter portion of the Outer Banks.
On the way down I stopped and checked out Grave Digger, monster truck legend!
The Frisco Beach is absolutely beautiful, great sand, great water!
While there we also check out 2 of the lighthouses in the OBX: Hatteras and Bodie
The Frisco Campground is very "no frills" with no water or electric hookups, cold showers, etc. But the location and proximity to the beach is awesome and we had a great scamping trip!

No problem, I'm glad that you liked it! I don't think that you can go wrong with any of the campgrounds. Oregon Inlet campground is the only one with electric and water hookups and is also very close to Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, etc. tend to prefer the lower end of Hatteras or even Ocracoke as they are more quiet generally.
