What I Got Right... and WRONG! Roller Coaster Removal Predictions

- The biggest news in the theme park industry right now would certainly be all the roller coasters being removed within the Six Flags Corporation. This news reminded me of a video I made about 4 years ago. It was a list of roller coasters that I believed will be gone in ten years. We haven’t even made it halfway through my prediction and the roller coasters from my list are starting to drop like flies! In this video, I thought it would be fun to revisit my list, see where these roller coasters are today and maybe talk about a couple other roller coasters that I didn't see coming.

This was a solid list of guesses, lightning racer was a bold but really solid pick given its location, i just dont get why IOA would tear down hulk after retracking it, unless you think that only bought it 10 to 15 more years
From what I've seen speculated for Kings Island's candidate, the top rumor is not for Invertigo unfortunately rather it will be for The Bat
I hope not. But if so then I guess I gotta go next year to be able to ride it
What???😮
I mean for what it's worth, you nailed a good majority of these and some years ahead of your predicitions. I have a feeling there are a few more of these that are still operating awaiting their inevitable demise.. i.e; Batwing, Invertigo
Rip Ride Rocket is set to close in September of next year. While is seemed like it’s getting removed already, Universal announced the timeline of when can we see it close down for good instead of SF’s extremely savage and radical decision to close down rides without any notice or announcement.
K D has since confirmed officially on anaconda's removeal which is going to be sad, but honestly it was pretty rough, and I don't think they'd spend the cash on doing a complete re-track on it. as for rip ride rocket it got confirmed to be closing in early sept 2025 which is really nice for those who want a chance to get a ride on it. as for what's coming next well here are my predictions for gone before the end of this decade: Flash: Vertical Velocity, Kong, & Superman: Escape from Krypton (discovery kingdom), Xcelerator(knotts), Desperado(buffalo bills), X2 (magic mountain), Dragon Mountain / maybe the whole park (Marineland), Steamin' Demon(great escape) & insert any vekoma boomerang model here _____________ .
Correction: T3 was bought by the amusement park in India and it will have its new home there.
I would love for GCI to "RMC" the Lightning side of Lightning Racer, adding some inversions and new interactions with the Thunder side. They could also "splice" the original layouts for Thunder to use different parts of the original two layouts for Thunder, allowing for some (possible) crossover inversions earlier in the ride. The thunder side would still have that Thunderous roar, and the lightning side would be sleek and modern. It would also appeal to a larger audience similarly to YoY. Since GCI is so close, it would make diagnosing any problems with the ride a lot easier (due to it's nature as a prototype), and make shipping cost lower. Thoughts?
I don't see The Incredible Hulk Coaster (yes, I call it by its full name) going anytime soon, even in the form of a retrack.
I live by Dorney Park and Possessed will be next at some point.
So Anaconda is outta here? I'm certainly not going to miss it. The only good thing was the location of the camera on the very first drop. It was a perfect spot to pose like a supermodel before heading on to the more miserable parts of the ride.
Thunder Run runs like shit. I rode it after getting off Storm Chaser, and the brake run made my head hit my restraint. And the 2nd half goes like 2 mph.
On rcdb rn it says that king da ka is SBNO so it’s not gone yet
Demolition permits have been filed. Sure, it's standing now but not for long.
well given how tall it is they have to take their time taking it down. not like they can just take the wreck ball to it.
@@EmberMcLain87 They’re imploding it.
@@EmberMcLain87 Permits say that they're both demolishing and imploding it.
It’s 100% gone, there is no TT2 happening since it’s getting imploded.
Cedar point isn’t a Six Flags park.
it is now , they merged with Cedar fair.
You’re right, forgot about that.
T3 wasn't scrapped. It was carefully disassembled for shipping somewhere.
