    If you put sugar water jars in your garden that will attract pollinators to your garden as well Happy gardening

    Wish all my garden years were 2021 in Texas. So much rain in central Texas. 22,23 have been death.

    This is so pretty, to be honest I like keeping some of the weeds and wildflowers around. We have one "wildflower weed" called sow thistle (I'm sure you've seen it), it is bringing in loads of bees and ladybugs this year. We have a small Thistle forest in our garden in one corner, and I'm starting to like it because of all the beneficial bugs it's bringing. (I just won't let the seed heads fill out, hopefully.)
    Your peppers look great!
    And those tomatillos! I'm seeing some volunteers from last year's tomatos and tomatillos that are going much better than the things I planted! Crazy huh?

      Isn’t it wild how well the volunteers grow?! It always blows my mind!

    Just found your channel and I really enjoy your energy! I'm a newbie gardener living in South Austin. The past two months I've built a few beds, started some seeds, and have been spending lots of time outside. Everything has been going great up until two days ago when I found a RATTLESNAKE in the backyard while weed eating. New fear unlocked!

    We’ll be in the 90s in no time, in fact, it’s surprising how cool it’s been this late in the season! Also, it sucks to hear that you guys have been dealing with plant thieves at the community garden..

    Thought you might be interested to know (even though it's been 11 months!) that during the season in which you made this video, beekeepers here in the Austin area had the worst honey flow in like almost 20 years. It rained basically every day and the bees couldn't leave their hives. Hope the pollinators have been visiting your garden better now. Has it improved?

    • @SeedToPlate
      @SeedToPlate  2 роки тому +1

      WOAH!!! That is fascinating, I buy local honey to put in my coffee every morning. Yes plenty of pollinators this year. Also we’ve had one swarm and a new colony at the community garden!! Wild.

      @@SeedToPlate That's so good to hear! Seems like a wonderful flow for honeybees so far this year. My hives are wall-to-wall with capped honey! 🍯🐝💖

    I soooo relate with the desire to grow things. I have a traditional row by row garden here in Zone 7a/Foothills of the Smokys in TN. Just harvested a large batch of Kale (cool weather crop, lol) Corn is just at about 7" and getting close to being hilled. I am trying succession planting as well. My beans have just sprouted their 2nd, true leaves.. It is so rewarding to just sit and watch it all grow but the best bonus is getting to eat from it as well. Keep these wonderful videos coming. Love love them. 😊
