This is, by far, my favorite episode. My oldest grandson is my daughter's "I didn't know I was pregnant".baby. She went to emergency for kidney stones and found out she was 30 weeks pregnant. While she DID have kidney stones, the ultrasound sound tech's exclamation, "oh look...your kidney stone has a penis!" Is probably the most original pregnancy confirmation of her career.

I had a precipitate labour with my 3rd child. It's really freaky, crazy, painful and weird. I thought I needed the toilet but the midwife arrived and just barged in and told me to get out of there! Baby arrived 5 minutes later but I don't think I would have been able to move if she hadn't come in then. I think it was about twenty minutes go to whoa. I was so confused after, I kept on a saying "she shouldn't be here yet" and "is that really the time?" Side note: baby had a broken collar bone, maybe from a contraction.

I got into an argument with my dad as I got older and he told me it wasn’t his fault that it was my choices and I yelled back that I didn’t raise myself and I was a product of their actions.. yea it was bad… now that I have a 14 almost 15 yr old I see things so much clearer… and I was able to realize and forgive.. because just like I was learning about life.. they were learning to be parents.. Half way through my shift, my dad called to say they were taking her to the hospital because her pains got worse. We thought she may have had appendicitis. I was on the pill for 5 years (I had dealt with menorrhagia), got married and came off the pill to start a family. After a year of nothing, my ob/gyn decided it wouldn't hurt to do a procedure to investigate if there were any issues due to my history. During the pre-op a few days prior to the procedure, they did a pregnancy test. Lo and behold, I was pregnant! After he was born, at my 6 week check, my ob/gyn suggested a low dose pill, since I was breastfeeding as well. well, 23 months after my son's birth, to the day, to the hour, and nearly to the minute, my daughter was born. She wasn't planned, birth control failure. When she was almost 2, we had come home from a weekend vacation and I had had a cold and was just feeling miserable. My husband suggested taking a pregnancy test, which I did just to humor him. I just had a bad cold, and besides, I was on birth control (the patch this time). Needless to say, after my second daughter was born and we had 3 kids under 5, my husband got a vasectomy. All 3 are adults now, but their birth stories have always given us a chuckle.

But my mom insisted (it was her dad) that grandpa wouldn't want us to not go, and having the kids for the weekend would be a welcome distraction for her. So, we left after the funeral. Of course the professional medical is essential for the arrival of unforeseen bithing complications, but keeping the situation under control can be a difference as well.

I’m so glad we have MDJ explaining the bizarreness sometimes found in these episodes. Like why do these women have “periods” or bleed while pregnant? Thank you for “the educational commentary”, MDJ❤.

I’m thankful you brought up HG. My sister had it BAD, her entire pregnancy with my niece she was constantly throwing up. In and out of the ER constantly. At one point she was throwing up twenty times a day and she kept dog poop bags close by to upchuck in. She’s doing amazing now but it was hard.

watching your friends helped me find out that i was pregnant right away. “hmmm i feel super weird and extra hungry lately.” then i had a dream that i was pregnant on mothers day and took a test, came back inconclusive. I took another test a couple days later and came back positive!! i am 30 weeks and 3 days now and so excited

This is one of my biggest fears. Not that I'll go into labor not knowing I was pregnant, but that I'll make it really far into a pregnancy without knowing. I test every month, during my period, just to be sure because my mom, and a few aunts/cousins, bled monthly for the first 4-6 months during their pregnancies. I would want to know immediately so that I can get on pre-natals, quit all alcohol, and limit caffeine intake right away. My first pregnancy was planned, but since we're not planning on having another right now, and birth control doesn't work for my body, I just have to be careful. Also, my first labor from start to finish was 2 1/2 hours long. When my OBGYN told me the second birth could be even faster I told her I better plan for a home birth then. lol

I always enjoy these videos. My daughter will be 14 months old in a few days. I discovered you on UA-cam and followed you on your other social media accounts when I was pregnant and I definitely remind myself that you can only do the best you can with the information you’ve got on a pretty regular basis. I’ve even told my husband that at times. I find it really useful in daily life and just wanted to say thank you for what you do!

One of my friends said that she had her “period” the entire time she was pregnant with both of her girls and her cycle never deviated from before she got pregnant, although now I know it’s not her period obviously. Just interesting to think about how that can happen

Since you like name stories; my husband and I first dated in high school (we broke up and got back together 10 years later). Our first date was hanging out at my house and watching one of my favorite movies, Constantine. So our son is named Konstantine (my husband thinks the letter "c" is arbitrary) after the very first movie we saw together.
