I understand there is a lot of inbreeding in Muslim families also. First cousins marrying first cousins. It has gotten so bad that a lot of Muslim children are born with genetic birth defects that are the result of generations of inbreeding. They show a lot of deformities that are similar to what resulted from many European royal families inbreeding to keep the bloodline "pure". I once saw a program on this, and there was a little boy who had to take a bunch of medicines to keep him at functioning level. A lot of Muslims live in Great Britain and they form community enclaves, and they intermarry a lot, refusing to allow a marriage between a Muslim and non-Muslim.

I have often wondered, how many of us everyday people, have royal or aristocratic blood connections somewhere in the family woodpile, dating back hundreds of years, considering how many illegitimate children were fathered by kings, princes, dukes, and earls. When King Richard III's DNA was tested, it was found that he had a direct descendant living in Michigan (who did not want to be identified), a quiet man who was a cabinet maker, from what I remember. So, who knows? One may just have a king in the family from 600 years ago.
