- My rattle can spray painted van didn't last long so I wanted an upgrade. Raptor bedliner paint was a bit too expensive so I went with a lower cost option on Amazon called Speedokote T-Rex Bed Liner. The total cost for the paint ended up being around $475. Unfortunately the day I wanted to paint it was extremely cold and windy but we had to get it done. See how it turned out!!

I agree. I built a chicken coop with my dad years ago and to this day that is one of my favorite memories with my dad. To build something or to do some thing like what you guys have done just is an amazing feeling I think… I’m happy for you. Stay safe girl ..love your videos.

The van looks great!! I spent the summer prepping and then painting my little Toyota motorhome. So I get what you went through. It's rewarding when the effort does give nice results! I used marine above the water line paint on the coach part of the RV and am thinking I will use it on the cab next summer too. It gave great coverage and has a nice gloss. I did a video on it if you are interested.

Hi Alison 👋. I think that the paint job that you did on the van was very good. The worst critic is yourself. If you don't point out the flaws no one will know.
I really like the new look!! What a great job! I also think the bumpers would look great painted. Another diy tip is to use toothpaste to polish your headlights so the lenses are clear again. I think I saw that the front ones are getting kinda cloudy. Congrats!

You're me inspiration to use liner for me van outside without professional assistance. You're honest and showing what could occur wrong/right and covering along with showing dents in which I have the same situation except I'm alone (without help) or much money. Looks good. Some information for anyone wanting to do this. To get better coverage spray white primer down first. You can even color match your primer to your topcoat. Primer is cheap. You would have gotten away with only 2 coats of the bedliner coating if you sprayed primer down first or even brush and use a roller to paint the primer. If you are painting on a driveway just water down around your van. On sand drive on some tarps. Hopefully these tips help someone out.
Since the van was already white we really didn't need a primer. A light sanding really did the trick.

First saw your spray can paint job video and commented on it, and glad to see this time you used a compressor and a good spray pistol too. Very good. Surprised it came out so well with all you had to deal with the wind, and the blowing dirt/sand.
Great job for the money. Never heard of that brand before so will be interesting to see how it holds up for you. Safe travels :)

Texture paint used primarily in truck bed liners is indestructible. I once saw a truck bed that had been crumpled in a bad accident and the paint which formed the bed liner maintained it's original shape without cracking, bending or breaking. If you own that van until the day you die, I doubt that you will ever need to paint it again. (But if a graffiti artist sees this comment, I am only joking and don't waste your money on texture paint and please don't steal some either).

I am watching this and wondering if Press N Seal would work in place of the butcher paper to cover unpaintable areas. It sticks so well in the kitchen!
Hmm interesting. I never tried it but it could work.
I was wondering if cling film would work too, but suspect the thinner in the paint might react with it too much. Paper is far cheaper and does the job.

That paint is gona colect dust instantly. Unfortunately painters don't work cheap so painting a older used car makes little economic sense.
