My parents especially my mom didn't know how to deal with it. I am the youngest of 5 kids and just didn't realize what she was going thru and how much she hurt. I wish id supported her more. I recently found your channel and have binged so much of your videos. Love what your doing. Don’t stop your are amazing at interviewing people because you talk to them like a friend and all of your questions are always from curiosity and never from a bad place!
Monique is beautiful and so interesting. This ended too soon. I could listen for hours to her tell stories about her life. Ty Matt youre such a good human❤
I want to add that my sibling born female but identifies as male has suffered her entire life and it breaks my heart. She never had the lower surgery for many reasons i suppose. First of it wasn't acknowledged at all by our family and also shes close to Monique's age now. It just wasn't accepted at that time. My parents especially my mom didn't know how to deal with it. I am the youngest of 5 kids and just didn't realize what she was going thru and how much she hurt. I wish id supported her more. I do now. I call her my brother now. Im the only one. I cant imagine the pain of being in the wrong body. I could never deny that transgender is a real thing. I learned its true from my BROTHER. Much love to Monique and Matt. Please look beyond the mask to the heart. ❤
I think Monique is fabulous great interview thankyou Matt for capturing her for us and letting her share a few stories for your viewers! 👍🏻❤️ Cheers from Melbourne Australia!
I so love her energy I love her positive outlook… I especially love “if you have a good family… you’re gonna have a good life” thank you for this awesome documentary & for introducing me to this beautiful lady!
She better work!! Oh really?😅 Is it old school!!! Classic!!!!! 💜 Love this education!! Preach honey!!!
I truly wish these episodes were longer, even just 5 minutes 💖
This one hit close to home 😢💕💕
She’s so amazing thank you 🙏
She's lovely. What a life right!!! I could sit and listen to her stories for days and be perfectly fine.
Thank you for another great interview with an icon in the community! I too would love a part 2, if you are both up for it. You are documenting the stories of our diverse queer communities before they're lost to faded memories and a couple of pics from gay rags over the years. That is hugely important IMO!
Monique, God bless you and your dear sweet mother! I am so glad you had her love and support. I really have enjoyed hearing about your fascinating life! Thank you so much.
I'll never forget running into her and the 80s when I was clubbing in Hollywood at 16 I'm 6'1 and I felt rather awkward and never were heels and she looked me up and down and said girl if I had those legs I work 6 inch heels and rock it Bich! 🎉 So nice to see she's doing well.. I've always been fascinated about the doctor out of Colorado I remember seeing him interviewed on 2020 eons ago very interesting man. ❤
I would love to see a follow up interview to hear more of her story! She’s absolute fascinating! ❤❤❤
Bless her heart,I luv how she lives in her truth. Her honesty is unmatched.
Please do a really long interview with her! I can only imagine the stories she can tell. I hope you are the one that gets her on record b/c there aren't many living legends like her!

It’s amazing to me how creative and talented all of your guests are . I enjoy your channel.
Thank you SO much fir this. I am an ally and wasnt sure if I would enjoy this (although I have been watching you for ages and LOVE all of your interviews) because of the plastic surgery tag but SHE is amazing and I cant wait to find out more about her past ❤
Monique is a force of nature, I hope everything is going well for her because nobody deserves cosmetic surgery mess ups. She's a beautiful person ❤
I have a friend who has to dilate , she showed me what she has to do , it is a big commitment. She had the surgery in 84 . Still pretty new
You're so good at what you do!
