Great commentary and enjoying watching you travelling along the Savannah Way, such beautiful camp sites. Amazing.. There is a common misconception about Lithium batteries and using them down to 20%. Yes you can do this but but if you check the cycle rate from the specifications you’ll see this will shorten the battery life like any other battery. Keep smiling and don’t change your style of video graphing, great work.. Cheers Stay safe..
Hi Len, thanks for your comments and glad you enjoyed that trip 🤙 Yes, we talked about the batteries and cycle rates - it’s rare for us to drop below 50% but it’s good to know you have the extra power now and then if you need it 😊👍
Hi Jackie, really enjoying your journey. Have been following you from the start. I've been along the Savannah Way a couple of times, but only in a 4wd. We hope to be doing it next year in our caravan. I must say that your videoing, drone work and editing is amongst the best out there and I would go as far as to say that you leave a lot of the other vloggers with tens of thousands of subscribers to shame. You should be proud of yourself. Thank you!
Thx so much for your encouragement Michael. I’m glad your enjoying the journey! And I appreciate your support. 🤙 All the best for your own trip with your caravan. It’s a great adventure that’s for sure! 😊
Love this, thank you so much for sharing. I felt your joy through the camera and it made me smile through it all. Great information, love the little written notations. Some of the absolute best videography, drone work and presentation I've seen. So happy to see there's more episodes to watch. Subscribed. Wish I could like it more than once ☺️
Hi Chelsea Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words. So glad you enjoyed the vid. It’s an amazing opportunity we have to do this journey. And what a beautiful country Australia is! We are loving it. 🤙😍
Another fabulous episode, love your camp sites. Taking copious notes for our lap in a couple of years. Camped at the Gregory in the late 70's bought back lots of fabulous memories.
Thx again. Glad you're enjoying - and finding helpful info. Planning is definitely part of the fun of the trip. We planned and dreamed for years as well before we got out here. I still pinch myself - its such an adventure! 😊🤙
Just came across you guys and have subscribed and watched a few of your videos so far. We have done most of the area in this video and brings back awesome memories, ones we intent to repeat soon 😁 Just wondering what blow up Kayak you have and how have you found it. Thanks.
Hi Let’s Go Travel Australia. Thanks for watching & subscribing 👍. Our kayak is KXone 410. We purchased online from Bay Sports. It’s a great kayak! We’re used to hard shell ocean kayaks so as an inflatable we are really impressed. It’s a Drop stitch design so super rigid & has a slide in rudder. Glides and tracks well. Easy to inflate and deflate. Not real roomy for two but we chose this one so we can go solo or together. It is pretty bulky when packed down so takes up a bit of space in car. Only 15.5 kg so easily manageable! 😃
Thank you so much for your reply, much appreciated. We had a very good hard shell tandem kayak but due to a change in vehicles we not longer wanted to carry one on the roof so were looking for other options. Your reply particular in relation to the drop stitch has helped set us on a path to investigate further and get rid of some of the confusion over soooooo many makes and models. We do have a Labrador who loves to come kayaking with us so will be looking into one of their slightly bigger kayaks to accompany her. Again thank you so much for your reply and will look forward to more UA-cam’s. 😁
Nice episode guys, stoked to stumble across your channel and really looking forward to going back and watching some more episodes and following along with your new stuff. Such an enjoyable episode, keep up the awesome work. Looks like it was worth all the corrugations!
Hey Vinceventuring - just realised I didn’t reply to your comment 😏. Thx so much for your encouragement. Yes the corrugations were 😅definitely worth it - such a wild part of the country and so good to experience it 👍😀
Great video, we are planning a similar trip and this was one of the best videos we have seen. Can I ask what brand kayak you have? Thanks to your video we now want to take one. cheers.
Hi Sean, glad you enjoyed the vid. It sure is an adventure out there. Our kayak is a KXOne 410 slider. We purchased from Bay Sports online. It is a rigid drop-stitch design - pumps up to 8 psi. It comes with a slide in rudder, and glides and tracks well in the water. Only 15 kgs. It packs down easily but does take up a lot of room in our vehicle (only downside). I think all the dimensions will be listed online. Have a great day. 🤙
Loving your journey. Hoping to head off ourselves at the end of the year. How do you find the inflatable kayak and what brand is it please. Looks like something we'd love. Stay safe
Hi Kathy. Glad you’re enjoying the vids. We love the kayak. It’s a KXone 410, purchased online from Bay Sports. It’s a drop stitch design so super rigid, and has a slide in rudder. It glides and tracks really well. We prev used hard shell ocean kayaks but we’re impressed with this one. At 4.1m it’s a bit tight for 2 people with your day bags in but it’s also suitable for solo use. It weighs 15.5 kg so quite manageable. Only con - it’s quite bulky when packed down in its bag so takes a bit of space in back of vehicle 👍
Hi there, Thanks for your comment. And sorry I missed answering your question. I use a Go Pro 8 and a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone. Yes its an amazing trip across Australia!
Hi. Great videos. We are in the planning stage for a trip very similar later this year, so loving all the tips and camps. What inflatable kayak do you have? We are in the market for one. Thanks
Hi Anne - its so exciting being in the planning stage - enjoy 👍 Our kayak is a KXone Slide 410, purchased online from Bay Sports. Its rigid and pumps to 8 psi so moves well in the water and also has a rudder. Only downside - its fairly big when packed down but does fit in the back of the vehicle.
Hi @denton3385, it’s a KXONE Slider - 4.1 m. It’s a drop stitch floor design and inflates to 8psi - so it’s rigid. That’s what makes it so good. Great for long distance. We bought it online. You can check them out here: www.baysports.com.au/collections/inflatable-kayaks/inflatable-kayak 😃👍
hello..liking your video's of your travels..can you tell me about your inflatable canoe/kayak please..brand..price..where you purchased it from..thankyou
Hi Jack. Glad you’re liking the vids. The kayak is a : KXOne Slider 410, Double Inflatable Kayak. We purchased online from Bay Sports. It’s a drop stitch design so it’s rigid when inflated. This makes it quite fast on the water and with its rudder it tracks really well. Good for longer distances and a lot of fun. Weighs about 15 kg.. it’s a bit bulky when deflated so takes a fair bit of space in the back of the vehicle. Price currently $1500 I think 🤙😃
Hi Bill, the kayak is a KXone 410 inflatable, with drop stitch design that makes it rigid when inflated. Ours is 4.1 metres but comes in three lengths. It weighs 15.5 kg. We purchased online from Bay Sports - $1599. Hope that helps 🤙 www.baysports.com.au/products/kxone-slider-410-double-inflatable-kayak

What time of year was this, just starting to plan
Hello Michael, thanks for watching our vid. We were on the Savannah Way mid to late July. Even then it was quite hot - low to mid 30's most days. 👍
