I’m an introvert who once got placed next to another introvert even quieter than me but after some awkward silence we quickly became two of the loudest kids in class when we talked with each other and the teacher constantly had to shut us up 😂
That's hilarious, but can relate. As an introvert myself, when with another introvert, I'm somehow always the more social/louder one of us, and it's not unusual for that to rub off on the other, so we end up being the loudest and silliest.

I had a science teacher in high school who quickly realized I was uncomfortable working with other people when it came to projects. One day, he sat me down before class started and asked if I would prefer to handle projects alone and I said yes. I was so relieved when he agreed and then realized how grateful I was. He was the only teacher in all twelve years of school to notice and accept the fact I just didn't do well in groups. He handled it professionally and respectfully. I don't know where he is now, it's been over ten years since I graduated, but I wish him the best and hope he's doing well.
@@josren As someone who is 30 and works in the real world, I can tell you no, he didn't do me a disservice. His class was one I did better in. I work with people perfectly fine at both of my jobs, but in school, I never excelled at working in groups. Working in the real world is different than doing a group project in school.

@@josren People who dislike working in teams or with a partner tend to choose jobs where they don't have to sit on top of other people for extended lengths of time. "Working well with others" at a job just means being polite and helpful when someone requests something, always answering your mails/phone fairly quickly, and being punctual about showing up and finishing tasks. Since a lot of introverts don't want to be a bother to anyone, others usually enjoy working with us because we're easy to deal with. Polite and no drama.
Social anxiety does not equal introversion. It took me a really long time to learn I had social anxiety and I wasn't an introvert. The internet's false view of introversion really contributed to my problem. I hope people in the same situation as I was in figure this out. Social anxiety is really a bitch and the sooner you begin treatment the better.
It's true. It's ironic how self-proclaimed "introverts" are the ones to never fucking stop broadcasting things about themselves everywhere. Most of them are really socially deprived extraverts.
So true. I'm an introvert (I get drained by social interaction and need to recharge by being alone) as well as shy, but the social anxiety I had in my teens was a different thing entirely! I couldn't do anything in public without feeling terribly self-conscious. Luckily it's something that I've (mostly) overcome through the years, with good environments and conscious effort.

If I'm recalling correctly I think I 'scored' 98% in introversion or whatever you want to call it in the 16 personalities test. :) I don't think I'm as 'bad' (for want of a better word) as blue shirt guy though, having said that, it has been a while since I've been in a 'common' social interaction, over a year. Although, I probably am like blue shirt guy when I'm dealing with business people and need to make a decision I wasn't able to pre-plan my response for, like when they couldn't say exactly what was the cause of an issue I'm having with my car and threw me a 50:50 choice of what to fix, on the spot important decision making, personal nightmare. I just sat there for what felt like minutes staring at the steering wheel with them standing next to me waiting for a response, then I think I came up with 'I'll think about it', and it still isn't fixed a year later. Sorry for offloading. :)

I managed to miss your reply before replying to them myself. :) Just took it again to get to that page with the bars and percentages to make sure I was remembering it right when telling them about it. It has now suggested ISFJ-T vs INFJ-T previously, and 'only' 90% introverted now. I've always been close to the middle on 'energy' if I remember right, and current circumstances might be what has heightened 'observation' vs 'intuition' there, a certain inescapable negative reality that's been going on for a year now, for us anyway.
When I find a more introverted person I immediately act like an extrovert. You need me to raise my hand and point to you so you can answer the question you know? I gotchu. You want me to walk to the front of class to throw something away? I gotchu. You need me to be loud when your stomach growls so you aren't embarrassed? I gotchu. (Never-mind the fact that I couldn't even ask to use the restroom because I'm so scared.)

I think growing in a internet dominated era has its cons but young people being able to see/know that they are not the only one who struggles in some ways and even laugh about it is a blessing..i wish i had that when i was younger..

There's a girl in my class who's about the same level of introvert as me, we sit together at lunch and scroll through our phones and don't talk, it's great. She was more introverted at the start of the year but I annoyed her up to my level
And then there's me. I always hated my school. I had no friends and was bullied in my class. Until one day I sat down with a book at my usual place, some stairs leading down to the cellar of the building. And then another girl came over, sat down at my side and quietly took out a book herself. It was the best 20 minutes of my life up until that point. Just quietly reading and enjoying the presence of each other. She became my best friend and we would do this for years, just sitting there, reading, or talking about literally anything. It even started to attract other people and we sometimes had 10 more or less random people at "our" place. That place, the stairsteps, it showed me that you don't have to be overly social or "extroverted" to find friendship and have a good time. Sometimes, you just have to sit down and read a nice book. P.s.: The "Iron fey" book series really stuck with me since then ;)

As a social introvert, I often find myself being "the leader" of the introvert study group or something, because nobody wants to take the lead. I hate being the leader, but I also hate that awkwardness when people are actually more introverted than me. So I have to save everyone from that point and just take the lead, it's the simplest way.
Same, except I don't hate it. It rarely happens, and it's actually kind of a relief to be around people more introverted than myself for once, and interesting how naturally it comes to me to be 'the extrovert' in those situations when I hardly ever am otherwise. (INFP here.)

A few years ago, on the first week at my college we were divided into groups and a few groups had to hold a presentation for +100 people. I am introverted myself, but I don't really mind about public speaking etc. Our group was randomly chosen to hold a presentation and my partner did not come with me, so I had to hold it alone. I remember before I started my presentation I said 'it seems like my partner is missing' and a bit later I saw her in the audience and we had eye contact. After this I never saw her in our school, I think she decided to quit the school because of this.

INFP here: I'd practically die inside if I got told they would do all the work but have me present it. If I'm presenting I have to do all the work. It wont make sense to me otherwise plus I'd be speaking with the other person's words not my own. Which I don't want to do ever. I'm fine with group presentations but my part always runs longer than the rest of the group because I'm terrible at being concise.
I think is a good therapy and a good way to facing your insecurities being with people who are more shy and introvert than you. This forces you to talk more to follow the conversation and kind of makes you act like the extrovert of the group
Once I was talking with a man, (assuming I'm underage XD) and we were so focused on the topic (factorials) that we just skipped completely the small talk part XDDDD. Best talk I've ever had in life.
When my classmate ask me my name, i always consider its small talk. If im correct, i swear one dude in my class ask me where i live more than 10 times throughout the year cuz that's all he can find to ask me.

The same. But I do live around a bunch of show off peoples. So I Just learned to bê carefull when talking. The extroverts can be spike balls like sometimes.
Similar to what Lily says, if I can feel relaxed in the situation and carry on a mutually interesting conversation the other person tends to feel more relaxed as well. As much as the awkward social situations can play on one's mind, if they can be reframed and learnt from they can inform future situations. And sometimes you gotta fake confidence - at least a little bit more than what you actually feel.
I think that happens to some anxious extroverts too. And shy introverts might see their anxious ramblings as insensitive and not realise they're feeding off the anxiety of the quieter person.
I'm definitely less shy around introverts. Though I'm an introvert I still have a dominant personality, so when I'm around quiet introverts I feel inclined to take initiative because somebody's gotta do it and if I do not nothing will get done. 😂😂
I was in the same position with "Frank" character last year, when a friend of my mother's visited us with her daughter. Even though I'm usually quiet and I may ask introductory questions here and then, she (the daughter) was so quiet and reserved I would see myself as the only one breaking the silence and making questions to her.
So I ABSOLUTELY experienced this. I'm an introverted shy person with self esteem lower than Mariana trench and fear of people judging me. I could recently make amends with myself and increase my self esteem and be comfortable in my own skin and I started to want to get to know more people (also it's my first year in uni so I have a lot of opportunities to do so). I tried talking to this one guy and it was his first day so I thought I could have a nice and easygoing conversation with him but it turned out that he was more introverted than I was, and I didn't know what to say next because he wouldn't contribute to the conversation either. So I sat there, stressed, awkward and anxious. Now I wouldn't be this stressed because of silence normally but I REALLY wanted to have a long conversation with him and be his friend so I really wanted the conversation to go how I thought it would go in my head. Anyway now we just wave hi or bye or smile at each other if we catch each other looking and that's it. I'm still frustrated because I want to get to know him more but I just don't know how to so I'm just stuck in this weird space (which is probably only my overthinking and he might be perfectly fine with how the things are) being an INFJ doesn't help either haha ;-;

I have managed to see people for multiple years, who then could not tell you my favorite color, what kind of music I like, what I do with my free time, and would be shocked when I said I had siblings after all that time. Most ambiverts do think they're very introverted at first until they realised how they needed the socialising part, but only with the selected few, but not too many 😂

Yeah, I enjoyed acting like an extrovert in high school cuz I wanted to have friends. When I finally got them, and slowly realized they're a really chill bunch, I slowly eased up on my facade and embraced my introverted side. I still enjoy being loud or interacting with people, but it still drains me and I end up seeking quiet alone time lol.

I call myself the ice breaker introvert because whenever our teachers asked our class a question I answered first to break the awkward silence. I usually had the wrong answer but other people felt encouraged so they would start to respond to the teacher and I could fade into the backround again peacefully. You're welcome guys :')
Ah i rarely do that. But i am the one that my classmates before keep pushing to ask something from the faculty room. Said something along the lines of "you have the bravest face among our class to stand near a teacher and actually ask something to them." And im just the second most introverted student in class. The most introverted one is an INFJ, shes my bestie and shes smart but she usually dont make friends or say anything when a lot of people are around, she speaks when she has to tho. Actually i have an introvert friend that so shy, i even prefer talking with a rock than with him whenever we have a project at school. But when it presentation time,he changes so much. It feels like he is not the same person whenever he goes to stage. Everyone in class (including teacher) always listening carefully for every words that came out from him. Very amazing when i think about It, idk is he an ambivert or he just has a superpower inside his body that we never know.

A thing I had noticed personally was because I usually spoke so little, the times I would talk people would generally pay more attention and be more interested than normal. Like they're witnessing a rare event. Not always though, some people would want to just speak over me. Funny thing was, sometimes another extrovert in the group would tell that person to shut up and let me talk.

Whenever I talk to other introvert people I don't really feel that stressed out. A lot of my stress comes from being afraid of saying weird things and knowing that other people will realise that I'm different. With other introvert people a lot of that stress just disappears because I feel like they know what it's like to be and feel this way.
Maybe you're not an introvert, maybe you're just a very shy and socially insecure person (it usually goes hand in hand with introversion, but not always). In any case, this channel's depiction of introverts is horrible, makes them all seem like assholes that hate everybody. Not true, introverts can be very polite and down to earth, being an introvert doesn't excuse you from being an asshole.

This is just brilliant!! Thanks for sharing! I'm working as a teacher and sometimes do groupwork and presentations of students in class. I'm well aware that many people are not comfortable with this so I try to make it as easy as possible for them; esp. the presentations! There are many things you can do as a teacher to make people more comfortable with stuff like this.

It’s hard to find other extroverts amongst the youth theses days, everyone’s buried in their phones as well and don’t know how to be interesting in conversation. I had the same thing once!! I was missing for half the lesson and the teacher was /so/ sure I had been there all the time I almost regret telling him that I wasn't
one of the most noticeable students in the school i work in was away for a whole year, and i never noticed. i didn't teach their class that year, but with the student being one of only around 120 students, it was rather shocking to both that student and the others in their class. i believe it's an intp thing. i never notice the presense or absense of things or people unless i they're right in front or me, or i happen to need them. i even forget i have a family if they don't contact me.
I hate when this happens, you're not talking, I'm not talking, come on, we need to decide who gets what and Finish this project as fast as possible, so I can go home and recover in peace and do nothing for a week and think a month just passed by. Or I'll just continue to sit here looking at you in silence screaming in my head while imagining myself ripping out my own eyeballs.
That first sentence he said was literally how I met my one of my first friends in high school. I spent a solid 5 mins building up the courage and structuring my sentence before I actually ask them to be my partner for the project💀

@@ihaveseverefrootsnackism people think im god teir listener, but im not. My trick is I listen to the tone of their voice rather than their words. If they are excited ill smile occasionally and say nice often and if they are sad ill put my concerned face on and say damn sadly. People just want to vent and be heard in my experience, they dont care whether you absorb the information or not.
Lmao my coworker is Like this. Sometimes i just say hi and she talks nonstop for 10 minutes and I'm standing there, Awkwardly, nodding as i listen, pretending i didn't see my boss pass over us 3 times wondering why I'm still in the reception area.
I feel like the temporary conversion to being more extroverted around someone even more introverted is because we get them. We resonate with them. So we take on the difficult tasks because someone has to do it and they are even quieter and more uncomfortable and how can we do that to them?! We wouldn’t want someone to do that to us
YES EXACTLY!! I've been trying to explain that to people for years and then they just write me off as as "extrovert trying to be quirky introvert" like no I'm very introverted please speak so I don't have to I hate every time I open my mouth. The worst part is the people I hang out with are DEFINITELY more extroverted than me, they are just lazy and all they do is small talk so it's either I talk basically to entertain myself (while simultaneously hating myself for it, feeling more uncomfortable with every word that comes out of my mouth), listen to them bounce between topics (and by topics I mean completely useless subjects with no substance) every 20 seconds, or sit in awkward silence that will inevitably lead to someone saying "well this is awkward" and then someone will probably go on to tell a really boring, generic story/tangent about how one time they were in an awkward situation due to their inability to think before they act and their extrovertedness so you could never relate to (and probably feel annoyed by, considering it's an easily avoided situation that could've been solved by a lack of stupidity) what they're saying and so you just sit there with the same amount of uncomfortablity as if no one had said anything except now you have a look that says "I'm so surprised by you stupidity" on you face or you at least just lost respect for you friend due to their obvious low IQ.
Sometimes I feel like people uses the word “introverted” wrongly. Sure, a introvert person has it’s energy drained by social interactions, but that doesn’t mean they are awkward/shy. If you are introverted (and I am), please do some effort to talk to people and improve you social skills... don’t do that “I’m introverted, don’t talk to me” thing. You’re being rude and probably loosing a good opportunity to improve a very important skill in live. Introverted is different than misanthrope...
I remember once i meet this girl at a summer camp that was as introverted as I am, and we became friends without exchanging a single word. No joking, we went everywhere together and we just stayed silent. Best friendship ever.

I'm usually the quiet one and I follow the leader's instructions but since I get good grades the teacher puts me in a group where everyone else doesn't want to be the leader so I take on the role and I suddenly organise, tell people to do things and call people up and remind them to join the discussion meeting and it's so weird cuz it's not like me at all 😭😭😂

I’m an introvert who once got placed next to another introvert even quieter than me but after some awkward silence we quickly became two of the loudest kids in class when we talked with each other and the teacher constantly had to shut us up 😂
That's hilarious, but can relate. As an introvert myself, when with another introvert, I'm somehow always the more social/louder one of us, and it's not unusual for that to rub off on the other, so we end up being the loudest and silliest.

I had a science teacher in high school who quickly realized I was uncomfortable working with other people when it came to projects. One day, he sat me down before class started and asked if I would prefer to handle projects alone and I said yes. I was so relieved when he agreed and then realized how grateful I was. He was the only teacher in all twelve years of school to notice and accept the fact I just didn't do well in groups. He handled it professionally and respectfully.
I don't know where he is now, it's been over ten years since I graduated, but I wish him the best and hope he's doing well.

@@josren As someone who is 30 and works in the real world, I can tell you no, he didn't do me a disservice. His class was one I did better in. I work with people perfectly fine at both of my jobs, but in school, I never excelled at working in groups. Working in the real world is different than doing a group project in school.

@@josren People who dislike working in teams or with a partner tend to choose jobs where they don't have to sit on top of other people for extended lengths of time. "Working well with others" at a job just means being polite and helpful when someone requests something, always answering your mails/phone fairly quickly, and being punctual about showing up and finishing tasks. Since a lot of introverts don't want to be a bother to anyone, others usually enjoy working with us because we're easy to deal with. Polite and no drama.

Social anxiety does not equal introversion. It took me a really long time to learn I had social anxiety and I wasn't an introvert. The internet's false view of introversion really contributed to my problem. I hope people in the same situation as I was in figure this out. Social anxiety is really a bitch and the sooner you begin treatment the better.

So true. I'm an introvert (I get drained by social interaction and need to recharge by being alone) as well as shy, but the social anxiety I had in my teens was a different thing entirely! I couldn't do anything in public without feeling terribly self-conscious. Luckily it's something that I've (mostly) overcome through the years, with good environments and conscious effort.

I don't think I'm as 'bad' (for want of a better word) as blue shirt guy though, having said that, it has been a while since I've been in a 'common' social interaction, over a year. Although, I probably am like blue shirt guy when I'm dealing with business people and need to make a decision I wasn't able to pre-plan my response for, like when they couldn't say exactly what was the cause of an issue I'm having with my car and threw me a 50:50 choice of what to fix, on the spot important decision making, personal nightmare. I just sat there for what felt like minutes staring at the steering wheel with them standing next to me waiting for a response, then I think I came up with 'I'll think about it', and it still isn't fixed a year later.

Just took it again to get to that page with the bars and percentages to make sure I was remembering it right when telling them about it. It has now suggested ISFJ-T vs INFJ-T previously, and 'only' 90% introverted now. I've always been close to the middle on 'energy' if I remember right, and current circumstances might be what has heightened 'observation' vs 'intuition' there, a certain inescapable negative reality that's been going on for a year now, for us anyway.
When I find a more introverted person I immediately act like an extrovert. You need me to raise my hand and point to you so you can answer the question you know? I gotchu. You want me to walk to the front of class to throw something away? I gotchu. You need me to be loud when your stomach growls so you aren't embarrassed? I gotchu. (Never-mind the fact that I couldn't even ask to use the restroom because I'm so scared.)

There's a girl in my class who's about the same level of introvert as me, we sit together at lunch and scroll through our phones and don't talk, it's great. She was more introverted at the start of the year but I annoyed her up to my level
My best friend now was like that (I mean same, now when we hang out we probly look like extroverts haha), and now we're so chill and it's great.
And then there's me.
I always hated my school. I had no friends and was bullied in my class.
Until one day I sat down with a book at my usual place, some stairs leading down to the cellar of the building. And then another girl came over, sat down at my side and quietly took out a book herself.
It was the best 20 minutes of my life up until that point. Just quietly reading and enjoying the presence of each other. She became my best friend and we would do this for years, just sitting there, reading, or talking about literally anything.
It even started to attract other people and we sometimes had 10 more or less random people at "our" place.
That place, the stairsteps, it showed me that you don't have to be overly social or "extroverted" to find friendship and have a good time.
Sometimes, you just have to sit down and read a nice book.
P.s.: The "Iron fey" book series really stuck with me since then ;)

As a social introvert, I often find myself being "the leader" of the introvert study group or something, because nobody wants to take the lead. I hate being the leader, but I also hate that awkwardness when people are actually more introverted than me. So I have to save everyone from that point and just take the lead, it's the simplest way.

A few years ago, on the first week at my college we were divided into groups and a few groups had to hold a presentation for +100 people. I am introverted myself, but I don't really mind about public speaking etc.
Our group was randomly chosen to hold a presentation and my partner did not come with me, so I had to hold it alone. I remember before I started my presentation I said 'it seems like my partner is missing' and a bit later I saw her in the audience and we had eye contact. After this I never saw her in our school, I think she decided to quit the school because of this.

INFP here: I'd practically die inside if I got told they would do all the work but have me present it. If I'm presenting I have to do all the work. It wont make sense to me otherwise plus I'd be speaking with the other person's words not my own. Which I don't want to do ever. When I see someone more socially awkward than me and anxious, it makes me anxious. Which in turn makes them anxious. It's a vicious cycle.

Similar to what Lily says, if I can feel relaxed in the situation and carry on a mutually interesting conversation the other person tends to feel more relaxed as well.
As much as the awkward social situations can play on one's mind, if they can be reframed and learnt from they can inform future situations.
And sometimes you gotta fake confidence - at least a little bit more than what you actually feel.
I think that happens to some anxious extroverts too. And shy introverts might see their anxious ramblings as insensitive and not realise they're feeding off the anxiety of the quieter person.
I'm definitely less shy around introverts. Though I'm an introvert I still have a dominant personality, so when I'm around quiet introverts I feel inclined to take initiative because somebody's gotta do it and if I do not nothing will get done. 😂😂

I was in the same position with "Frank" character last year, when a friend of my mother's visited us with her daughter. Even though I'm usually quiet and I may ask introductory questions here and then, she (the daughter) was so quiet and reserved I would see myself as the only one breaking the silence and making questions to her.

So I ABSOLUTELY experienced this. I'm an introverted shy person with self esteem lower than Mariana trench and fear of people judging me. I could recently make amends with myself and increase my self esteem and be comfortable in my own skin and I started to want to get to know more people (also it's my first year in uni so I have a lot of opportunities to do so). I tried talking to this one guy and it was his first day so I thought I could have a nice and easygoing conversation with him but it turned out that he was more introverted than I was, and I didn't know what to say next because he wouldn't contribute to the conversation either. So I sat there, stressed, awkward and anxious. Now I wouldn't be this stressed because of silence normally but I REALLY wanted to have a long conversation with him and be his friend so I really wanted the conversation to go how I thought it would go in my head. Anyway now we just wave hi or bye or smile at each other if we catch each other looking and that's it. I'm still frustrated because I want to get to know him more but I just don't know how to so I'm just stuck in this weird space (which is probably only my overthinking and he might be perfectly fine with how the things are) being an INFJ doesn't help either haha ;-;

Yeah, I enjoyed acting like an extrovert in high school cuz I wanted to have friends. When I finally got them, and slowly realized they're a really chill bunch, I slowly eased up on my facade and embraced my introverted side. I still enjoy being loud or interacting with people, but it still drains me and I end up seeking quiet alone time lol.

I call myself the ice breaker introvert because whenever our teachers asked our class a question I answered first to break the awkward silence. I usually had the wrong answer but other people felt encouraged so they would start to respond to the teacher and I could fade into the backround again peacefully.

Actually i have an introvert friend that so shy, i even prefer talking with a rock than with him whenever we have a project at school. But when it presentation time,he changes so much. It feels like he is not the same person whenever he goes to stage. Everyone in class (including teacher) always listening carefully for every words that came out from him. Very amazing when i think about It, idk is he an ambivert or he just has a superpower inside his body that we never know.

A thing I had noticed personally was because I usually spoke so little, the times I would talk people would generally pay more attention and be more interested than normal. Like they're witnessing a rare event.
Not always though, some people would want to just speak over me. Funny thing was, sometimes another extrovert in the group would tell that person to shut up and let me talk.
I'm an introvert and I'm like this. I get majority nervous b4 I have to speak, but once I do, I'm super confident and I'm loving it. Especially if its acting

Whenever I talk to other introvert people I don't really feel that stressed out. A lot of my stress comes from being afraid of saying weird things and knowing that other people will realise that I'm different. With other introvert people a lot of that stress just disappears because I feel like they know what it's like to be and feel this way.
Maybe you're not an introvert, maybe you're just a very shy and socially insecure person (it usually goes hand in hand with introversion, but not always).
In any case, this channel's depiction of introverts is horrible, makes them all seem like assholes that hate everybody. Not true, introverts can be very polite and down to earth, being an introvert doesn't excuse you from being an asshole.

I'm working as a teacher and sometimes do groupwork and presentations of students in class. I'm well aware that many people are not comfortable with this so I try to make it as easy as possible for them; esp. the presentations! There are many things you can do as a teacher to make people more comfortable with stuff like this.
As an actual extrovert, this is exactly how I feel every time I'm sitting next to a group of introverts.

one of the most noticeable students in the school i work in was away for a whole year, and i never noticed. i didn't teach their class that year, but with the student being one of only around 120 students, it was rather shocking to both that student and the others in their class.

If they are excited ill smile occasionally and say nice often and if they are sad ill put my concerned face on and say damn sadly. People just want to vent and be heard in my experience, they dont care whether you absorb the information or not.

I feel like the temporary conversion to being more extroverted around someone even more introverted is because we get them. We resonate with them. So we take on the difficult tasks because someone has to do it and they are even quieter and more uncomfortable and how can we do that to them?! We wouldn’t want someone to do that to us
YES EXACTLY!! I've been trying to explain that to people for years and then they just write me off as as "extrovert trying to be quirky introvert" like no I'm very introverted please speak so I don't have to I hate every time I open my mouth.
The worst part is the people I hang out with are DEFINITELY more extroverted than me, they are just lazy and all they do is small talk so it's either I talk basically to entertain myself (while simultaneously hating myself for it, feeling more uncomfortable with every word that comes out of my mouth), listen to them bounce between topics (and by topics I mean completely useless subjects with no substance) every 20 seconds, or sit in awkward silence that will inevitably lead to someone saying "well this is awkward" and then someone will probably go on to tell a really boring, generic story/tangent about how one time they were in an awkward situation due to their inability to think before they act and their extrovertedness so you could never relate to (and probably feel annoyed by, considering it's an easily avoided situation that could've been solved by a lack of stupidity) what they're saying and so you just sit there with the same amount of uncomfortablity as if no one had said anything except now you have a look that says "I'm so surprised by you stupidity" on you face or you at least just lost respect for you friend due to their obvious low IQ.
Sometimes I feel like people uses the word “introverted” wrongly. Sure, a introvert person has it’s energy drained by social interactions, but that doesn’t mean they are awkward/shy. If you are introverted (and I am), please do some effort to talk to people and improve you social skills... don’t do that “I’m introverted, don’t talk to me” thing. You’re being rude and probably loosing a good opportunity to improve a very important skill in live. Introverted is different than misanthrope...
