Beautifully played and recorded. The guitar sounds pure/round and well=mic’d…nice arrangement, too.

Just lovely - one of my favourite tunes. I did an arrangement for two fiddles plus guitar backup quite a few years ago - hearing you play it brings back very happy memories.
Oh wow - two fiddles with guitar would be a damn fine thing. Did you record it?
Yes we did actually, Will - only a fairly quick and dirty demo - I could put a link to an mp3 of it here if you like, or send it to you by other means if you prefer.
Who is the guitar guilder? Looks like a cedar top? Also, the nut seems specia, some info please? Working on your arrangement right now…love drop D.
Absolutely beautiful, Will!
Thank you, Lars - hope you’re doing well!
@@will_mcnicol Things are pretty quiet at the moment, but before too long we are going on vacation with our son, daughter-in-law and our grandchildren. So all in all we are doing very well. I hope everything is well at your end. Best wishes to everyone at La Fontenelle 🙂. I wish I could be there this year.
@@larsingesman3138 Sounds like a lovely vacation you have lined up - enjoy! We’ll certainly raise a glass for you in Brittany =)
It would be fun to experiment with some violin on this, but your arrangement is exquisite.
would love to see bjarke falgren and him on a track
That’d be lovely to try for sure, and with Bjarke you can’t go wrong! Will be seeing him later this year so I wonder if we might have a try =)
Fantastic piece Will. I've been looking for a fingerstyle version of this piece for many years. Is it possible to buy the single piece on its own? I saw from another comment it's only available if subscribing to your online college. If that's the case, can you advise if it's only available on score, or whether it comes with video tutorial? thanks again for a great piece.
Thank you! Yes, I've just added my transcription to my website. You'll find it here: willmcnicol.co.uk/scores. Have fun!
@@will_mcnicol I've just bought it... And what a stunning piece. Your style is not too dissimilar to James Bartholemew where you simple but highly effective melodies to make the music sound amazing whilst bringing out the best of the guitar. Bars 16 through 20 are exceptional and highlight what I mean. Well done once again.
Hi Will, very nice but can't find the score.

The nut on your instrument looks unusual, like it might be compensated ( like :Ervin Somoji is known for can you clarify?
To answer your questions from other comments as well - the guitar is a Model S by Tom Sands (who apprenticed with Ervin so that explains the nut!) Redwood top, Black Limba back & sides.
