Well, the watch looks great! Nice dial, excellent match with the strap, like mentioned. 13 mm is a bit thick for a more dressier piece, but yeah, not unwieldy. One small gripe, that isn’t a moonphase complication, it’s a 24 h indicator, maybe with the sun and moon design, one could call it a day and night indicator. Maybe my understanding is wrong in regards to what a "moonphase" complication is tho… In any case, the watch looks pretty nice, Charlie Paris offer different straps option incl a mesh. So anyone should find a nice strap they like, I would go for the ostrich one. Thanks for the review! On a side note, maybe try to get hold of a RMALTI watch, they apparently make decent watches…

Great review as ever thanks. Does it make any sense to buy a watch at this price point as the cost of servicing will likely exceed the value of the watch. I think mechanical watches 5000 for which the service cost can be justified make the most sense. This is a beautiful watch but is it disposable after a number of years when it needs a service?
Thank you for watching Frank. Glad you enjoyed it. This watch costs 625 Euro. It doesn't cost circa 625 Euro to service a Miyota 9132 powered piece. Typically the service cost every 10 years is circa 100 Euro (the cost of a new 9132) plus 1 hour labour time of the watchmaker. It's easy to replace the movement, and polish the case within an hour. To answer your question, no its not disposable when it needs a service. One just changes the movement for a new one every 10 years. Its not cost-effective to break down the movement, ultrasonically clean the parts, rebuild it, and regulate it as per more expensive Swiss made movements such as the SW200-1. The labour time exceeds the movement cost. Thus replacing it with a new one is more viable. Regards, #WR4K
Could you just clarify please if this is a moonphase complication or a day/night indicator as when you advanced 24 hours it appeared that the disc just rotated once without the moon's phase altering at all. Very good review by the way.
