Happy Sunday, Maya. You’re such a delight to watch, I was always taking on projects like you when I was much younger. I’m so glad to see you wearing a mask when working and removing the old stuff from the buildings or brush outdoors, and wearing gloves and better protective shoes rather than flip flops or sandals. I’d like to offer this suggestion: now that you have electrical power, you should invest in a powerful shop vacuum to quickly vacuum up all the dust particles and small bits in the buildings, it would reduce how much stirs up into the air when you start to brush all the dirt, and save you time also.
I’m sending you $20 via your coffee fund, hoping you’ll buy yourself a small brush and dustpan set. It seems it would be easier to use and not so awkward in those times I’ve seen you use a long broom and shovel for sweeping up stuff to put in a trash bag or outdoor pile. And the brush would make it quicker and easier to clean off dirt and cobwebs from lumber when you’re picking pieces up to relocate. But if you don’t think you’d use one, then buy something else. Have a great week, please stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and a wide brimmed hat. I speak with experience, here in Texas, it’s currently 106 - 110 Fahrenheit. Best regards, Deb

A friend who opens up sealed cartons of furniture & similar heavy goods that are tightly packed have me this tip.
Don’t open the top of the carton - tilt the carton to the side a bit then split the tape on the base first.
Then lift UP the light weight cardboard to expose the much heavier item.
It’s much easier than trying to get a grip on the heavy stuff when there’s minimal space at the sides of the item.

Hi Maya i came across your story yesterday and basically watched every video you have posted great stuff 👌seeing you finally getting into some work on the buildiings was for me just as enjoyable as watching you clear down by the river that was so satisfying to watch you kindda carved out the beauty off the land right there and then imo 🤩 keep it up. Im looking forward to following this mammoth task off a project . Might I quickly suggest that you either buy or get sponsored by 3M you need a proper mask 😀

Late congratulations on the Bluetti sponsorship. They make some of the best equipment for household and adventuring solar power. You’re on an adventure and making cozy homes so perfect fit! 😊🌞 The plastic and cardboard are a bonus to cover a bit of the mimosa trees territory. Weighed down with some river rocks and covered with mulch for additional weight and improved appearance. When you don’t have anything else to do. lol

I bet that felt so amazing to clear out the rooms in the stone house. An outdoor kitchen sounds nice. I know a few other channels where they did this so remember to think about rain, lol. Great to have more solar options that you can move around to use in the stone houses for tools. Great video , thanks Maya.

Great job so far clearing the rooms out. Just love the river, what a wonderful place to relax. Can’t wait to see the new outside kitchen 👩‍🍳 and loo. 🚽🧻🧴Wondering are you on the land now for good or will you have to leave at some stage to earn some €’s.

Just started watching your videos but there is no audio a lot of times when you're talking to the camera. Is it just me or does everyone have this problem? I don't experience this with videos from other people. BTW, I still enjoy them because I'm so fascinated by all the youtubers who have migrated to Central Portugal and are renovating old, abandoned stone houses and farms. The music you overlay in the editing process comes over just fine.

THERE ARE IN VARIOUS SHADES I USE THE ONE THAT IS MORE YELLOW, AND SOFTER THAN THE WHITE LIGHT, IT MAKES THE ENVIRONMENT COLDER.
