i can't imagine him as a normal person damon was born to be a vampire, don't argue with me
I think he just grew into that role. Like: "I'm a vampire now? Well fuck it, might as well start acting like it." In the flashbacks, Damon always seemed like a completely different person. But he mourned his death, got through the five stages of grief, and came out the other side as a proper mustache-twirling bad guy. Stefan, on the other hand, is still holding on to that human side, and then goes on a killing spree every time he realizes he's indeed a vampire.
LMAO deadass. when they kept showing flashbacks of his human self in the 1800s i got thrown off so fast 💀
