Cheers Nigel! You're getting through these quick......we need to hurry up and make some more 😀 Really glad to hear you are enjoying the videos so thanks for taking the time to leave comments 👍
Hi Jeff, Killarney is a great place to stay. We stayed just outside of the town as we booked it last minute and there wasn't really anything else available but yeah what a great place to stay to enjoy the evening after a great days ride! As you say it's a great ride with so much to see, would liked to have had more time e to do a boat trip to the islands or something like that. Glad you had a great time! 😎👍
Beautifully filmed and lovely music. Some of your geography was a bit iffy 😂 but well worth watching. 😀 It was unique from the perspective of the bike instead of a car or camper. Thank you 😊
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. Not sure which geography you are referring to but I’m sure you would like to enlighten us. Yeah the bike gives an unhindered view of everything around us.
You mentioned a McCarthy's Bar in your closing segment. Check out the book before your next trip to Ireland. I've met people touring Ireland and using the book to guide their travels. It's very very funny to boot by the late Pete McCarthy published in 2000. He was a wonderful man--English with Irish heritage. He came to Ireland to find out once and for all whether he was Irish or English, bought a clapped out car and travelled around with only one rule: Never pass a bar with McCarthy over the door--he found a lot of McCarthy Bars! RIP
I have just sent the video to my sister and her family. They are going to visit Ireland the upcoming weeks. By campervan. And yes, the ring of Kerry already is on there list...Sweet! thnx for uploading...
Hi Peter, that's great thanks! We hope it's useful to them and don't forget the link to the map is in the first comment 🙂. The gap of Dunloe shouldn't be missed either but that will be this weekends episode. Thanks for watching
Hi great to hear you are enjoying the series!! Ireland has been on our to ride list for a long time so we were very happy to finally get there. So many beautiful areas to discover and this was just the first day of the Ireland part of the tour 🙂
Thanks Johan!!! Some places are just epic and this was another one of those locations. Such a great way to spend the first day of the Ireland section of the tour! 😊
Hi Darren, yeah we too enjoyed this tour far more that expected! The weather just stayed great the whole time which made everything even better. Thanks for coming along with us 😎👍
Even on my cell phone these views look amazing (due to my own current tour). When I get back home, I will definitely watch these episodes again. Beautiful landscapes and camera work.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. We had a great time touring Ireland 😊 here’s the full playlist incase you would like to see the rest: ua-cam.com/play/PLl_mRzVHVQ0zUtFe7yIi6rO-2-k465D31.html&si=g5h32U4A_AMOq_wO
Glad you enjoyed your Irish motorcycling trip. I have to compliment you on your cinematography. I've not been interested in the hassle of using a drone but having watched your piece overlooking the skelligs and around [18:00] I'm blown away. It brings a completely amazing perspective to an already beautiful scene. I may have to reconsider drone ownership. Delighted I came across your channel--I've hours of great content to look forward to. I'm sure the Irish Tourist Board will be thrilled to see the many new riders that will take a ferry ride to retrace your route. Well done. Greetings from a Dubliner and a K1600GTL rider.
Hi, yeah we had the such a great experience in Ireland although we left feeling that we had missed a lot and needed to come back - still always good to feel like this when leaving a country than feeling you don't need to come back. Yeah the drone captured some spectacular views of Ireland as you may have seen in the other episodes, it's true it can require a bit of effort stopping and setting it up but afterwards when you look the footage back it's well worth it . Glad that you have found our channel and we hope you enjoy the videos that we have made over the last couple of years. - there's also a couple of videos where we borrow the K1600 ...what a machine!! 😎👍 Thanks for watching and we look forwards to hearing from you again. Hi, thank you very much! Glad to hear your positive feedback 😊. Yeah the route is available on all our tours starting from the Heading North tour Playlist (Norway trip). Links will either be in the first pinned comment or in the description. With the full version (or trial) of calimoto you can also edit them and download them as a GPX. We hope you enjoy the rest of the series. 😎👍
Another fab video guys. The WAW is on our bucket list. We want to do it in our very large motorhome but also using our little 125 Sym Jet X scooter to drive some of the smaller roads where we can’t take our van. Your videos are giving us great inspiration. Thanks for sharing. Keep safe. Irvine & Karen.
Hi Irvine and Karen, thanks for watching and we appreciate your comment. We met a couple doing the same, we thought it was a great idea! Parked up the motorhome and went off exploring on their scooter -best of both worlds 😊
Another fantastic video guys, I'm shamed to say, although I live in N Ireland and have been to most of Ireland on my bike, I haven't rode the Ring of Kerry, so thanks for showing me what I HAVE BEEN MISSING., I must get around to it next season. As always, great video, filming and chat. I look forward to the next in the series :)
Hi Tim, great to hear you enjoyed the video! Hehe we hope you get teh chance to ride it soon, I guess it's very south for you so will need a few days trip. There's another road off the Ring of Kerry which we ride the next day too and it was also amazing. Thanks for your positivity and support. Catch you in the next one 😎👍
@@SeanandEmily As always, loved the video :) you 2 really cover great angles, with great audio. The Ring of Kerry is 360 miles from me, so I would definitely need to plan a 2 night 3 day trip, 4 day would be better, to really get feel for it, Maybe next year, as summer all blocked off now unfortunately, but I can't complain :). As always, I look forward to the rest of your Heading west tour :)
Hi Rossano, nice one! We can see why you are going back - such an amazing place and always lots of fun. Have an awesome time! Will you be heading to Ireland the same way we did in the previous episodes?
Hi Shane and welcome to the channel! As you may have noticed all our big tour are ordered in playlists and the smaller one off day trips are grouped together in smaller playlists. Since the heading North Tour (Norway, Sweden, Finland and the Baltics) we have added links to the routes in either the description or pinned to the first comment. Ireland has been an amazing trip and we enjoyed every second of it 😊 Thanks for leaving a comment and we look forwards to hearing from you again, we hope you enjoy the rest of the videos. Have a great weekend! Sean and Emily 😎👍
Hi Paul, yeah we really were blessed with good weather and couldn't believe how good it was. We were fully prepared for the rain but the sun kept shining, which is great as we were able to capture the beauty of Ireland! We pretty much filmed form morning until dusk and made the most of the weather. Thanks very much for watching and we hope you enjoy the rest of series!
Your drone footage is terrific and illustrates our west coast perfectly. The Cliffs of Moher in Co. Clare are our most visited but I hope you got to see Sliabh Liag in Donegal ( west of Killybegs ) during your Irish tour. Richy Vida did an anti clockwise group tour of the Wild Atlantic Way in May 2018 and was blessed with a week of sunshine. Hope you enjoyed your trip. Ps. Emma is a mine of information and a wonderful narrator.
Hi Brian, thanks very much! It's our pleasure to be able to show off the beauty of Ireland! Yes we went to Sliabh Liag in Donegal and it was spectacular too ...actually was able to ride the bike up to the top! The trip has been fantastic and we had sun for almost all of it! Can't wait to share the rest of the trip. Thanks for watching!
Great video, super drone footage. Such epic scenery 👌. I head to Ireland every summer on the bike, but still haven't been out to the Skelligs..on my to do list! One of my friends is a Droid in Star Wars and said it was an amazing place. By the way, I'm glad your not rushing the trip...it needs to be enjoyed!! Cheers Steve
Hi Steve, thanks very much great to hear you enjoyed the video. Ireland has been a treat and next time for sure we would take a boat trip out to the Islands. Long big days on the bike are helping us not rush through too quickly although for sure we would have loved to have more time 😊 That's cool! -how exactly does one become a droid in Star Wars?? -asking for a friend 😉
I had looked at doing the Kerry Cliffs when we went but as the planned route was already 250 miles we didn't do it, wish we did now though as the cliffs and surrounding area were stunning, nice drone footage as well.
Hi Gavin, yeah it's difficult deciding what to leave out as one can't see everything in one trip (unless with unlimited time of course). There's passes and routes we had to skip due to time too but it's always good to have a reason to go back somewhere. Yeah I think the cliffs there might be the most spectacular in the country but then the scenery over the next few days was amazing too! Thanks for watching and it's great to hear form you. In case you are interested in the route the pinned comment on each episode contains a link. 😎👍
Thank you very much for the comment! Oh the cliffs were spectacular and best of all we weren't expecting them - we think they are more beautiful than the more famous cliffs. Looking forwards to sharing the rest of this tour 😎👍
Wowser! Utterly spectacular! I think Ireland needs to go on my already-lengthy list of places to tour. Only things that put me off a little are how expensive it is, and the potential for dreadful weather. You seemed to have touched lucky with that though. Looking forward to the next episode... 👍
Yeah it shocked us too! - and on the first day!! The bar was set very high but Ireland continued to impress us. Yeah you are so right, we hadn't really prepared for how expensive things would be! But there wasn't much we could do about that other than avoid staying in teh Hotspots. We did find some really great B&B's later on in the trip that were much better priced and eating at the supermarket saved a lot too. But as the weather was perfect for the entire trip we can't complain 😎👍 Statistically May is the Driest month in the UK and Ireland -so we went with that 👍
Id like to do a similar route next year. Hope the weather is as kind to me, and all travelers (Scotland was a bit of a wash out last year) Thanks for sharing your journey.
It's a great area to explore and Killarney is a nice town to stay in . Yeah always a gamble with the weather, we had a lot of rain in Norway last year so were very happy to get some good weather on this trip! We hope you don't get a repeat of Scotland -sounds like you deserve some sunshine next time 🙂
Beautiful ride and superb editing...Waterville is where Charlie Chaplin lived for many years and has a superb world famous Golf links...so glad ye did the Skelligs Ring as I have ridden it and it is one of the best parts off The Ring of Kerry but some of the 90 degree bends are very tight and steep camber so bikers need to approach them with caution as camber across the carraigeway on some of the bends is not to be taken lightly...followed all your videos and I have to say they are really informative and fun also.
Hi, oh wow really! Had no idea Charlie Chaplin lived there!! We would have stopped for lunch but was ever to explore. Yeah the Skelligs Ring was great and the cliffs there were fantastic! Yeah need to watch out for those tight corners especially anticipating traffic. Thanks for watching our videos and it’s great to hear you have been enjoying them, we’ve got some fantastic footage of the rest of Ireland and are looking forwards to sharing it. 😎👍🏻
Can you please let us know when n where u are going. We did southern Ireland 5 times on the trot and never had weather like you had lol. Thanks for the great video we forgot how beautiful it is just like Scotland is ( well they did used to be joined) May the force be with you Yoda sends his regards.
The force runs strong on this tour 😂 -as we got amazing weather throughout all of Ireland and Scotland!! Couldn't believe it! We went 1st of May as this is statistically the driest month. Maybe the 6th time you will get some good weather 😊
Yeah it’s a great bit of info, they go anti-clockwise 🔄 which is why we went clockwise (also get to ride closer to the view). Also the smaller tracks busses don’t go at all 😎🙌🏻
Thanks very much, my boot is of preference is the BMW Gravel Boot -had them for years and they heard just as good as day one. Comfy enough to walk in too 😎👍🏻. ua-cam.com/play/PLl_mRzVHVQ0zUtFe7yIi6rO-2-k465D31.html&si=vMVi2SmKgSqFlSaP
Beautifull scenery and drone video's. Oh, and you definitely need The Force to ride on those twisty with blind corners. I do have a question. Does your camera has some difficulties focussing on higher speeds? 😎👍
High Ruud, thanks as always! Haha would be nice to sense the presence of other vehicles 😄 No the camera works very well as high speeds (see the last track day vlog), in fact the camera is very impressive at adjusting from light to dark situations and they keep getting better with every update. The only problem with higher speeds is the wind noise -which unless we want to spend hours and hours in editing it's easier to keep the speed down when talking. 😎👍 Here's an example of Higher speeds: ua-cam.com/video/JueXj5W5fk8/v-deo.htmlsi=R_VzlRxHTVVFIQ5j
@@SeanandEmily I see what you mean. Maybe its just the very close trees and bushes it can't focus because you pass by. But anyway the total images are magnificent. Please keep making these. Thanks.
Check the first pinned comment of each episode, there you will find a link to the days route. It’s also possible to download the GPX file if you have the calimoto app.
Hi Adrian, we do give this information. In the previous Episode we mention the price of the hotel, ferry and fuel prices for this area and throughout the whole playlist costs are mentioned. Most of the time we grab stuff from the supermarket but this probably doesn't need to be documented each time 😊 If you want to calculate the how much fuel is needed for your own bike/car you can use the link in the first pinned comment to give you access to the route of the day.
Mostly we keep it in Road -reduces unexpected wheelies when fully loaded 😁 and takes the bumps better. For tight switchbacks and sporty riding we use dynamic for a more responsive throttle. Ireland is amazing! 🤩
Watching from the USA. Question. Are you running in MPH or KPH? Not familiar with the different European rules of the road. Those little country lanes are crazy!
Hi, Europe uses KPH however the United Kingdom (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) use Mph. Yeah we grew up with lanes like this but didn't really appreciate how crazy they are until now 😄 Thanks for watching, always nice to have viewers from the states 😊
@@SeanandEmily Follow up question. I saw on your speedo that you were doing 70 + down those lanes. Was that in UK mph or did you not change over from kph? I found your site while I was viewing BMW R18 reviews. (I think I'm the only American who has no interest in HD). I loved the way you mixed in the bike footage and the views of the Alps. Just finished the going west tour. Now moving back to the start and will work forward.
Hi, yeah this was in Ireland so the speedo was set to KPH. Happy that you found our channel and welcome 😊. Haha yeah you might just be! The R18 was a lot of fun although hard work on those mountain passes at times. We like to mix up the bikes but don't really do reviews -just take them on decent trips and give our thoughts. We are about 30% into the Heading West Tour so currently editing the next episodes but by the time you've finished the other playlists it should be mostly finished 😎. Thanks for watching and we appreciate you taking the time to comment.

Yeah need to watch out for those tight corners especially anticipating traffic. Thanks for watching our videos and it’s great to hear you have been enjoying them, we’ve got some fantastic footage of the rest of Ireland and are looking forwards to sharing it.
😎👍🏻
Very well produced video. You should be working for Bord Failte. ☘️☘️
Thanks very much! It’s our honour to showcase the beauty of Ireland 😊
Nice editing 😉
Thanks Ake! No shortage of beautiful footage in Ireland 🙂
Not a pothole 😂😂 it’s early !
Haha actually we seem to have avoided them!
@@SeanandEmily we are glad you got great weather for your first time there . Safe riding.
Did you know that the coaches only travel in one direction round the ring of Kerry to avoid congestion.
Yeah it’s a great bit of info, they go anti-clockwise 🔄 which is why we went clockwise (also get to ride closer to the view). Also the smaller tracks busses don’t go at all 😎🙌🏻
The Irish tourist board should pay you some money 😂
It’s on my list
Haha that would be nice! If they are listening we can always come back for round 2 😂. This place is well deserving of being on the list 👍
Nice video guys. Sean, what boots do you generally wear for most of your touring trips? Cheers
Thanks very much, my boot is of preference is the BMW Gravel
Boot -had them for years and they heard just as good as day one. Comfy enough to walk in too 😎👍🏻.

😎👍
Here's an example of Higher speeds:

@@SeanandEmily I see what you mean. Maybe its just the very close trees and bushes it can't focus because you pass by. But anyway the total images are magnificent. Please keep making these. Thanks.
I think it would be helpful if you could show where you're traveling on the map. You know it is a big world out there :)
Check the first pinned comment of each episode, there you will find a link to the days route. It’s also possible to download the GPX file if you have the calimoto app.
To judge you as Star Wars nerds, we did!
Sense a fellow fan of Star Wars we do 😄 Then we are glad the lightsaber scene didn't make the final cut 😂
🤣
Cost of food, accommodation and fuel would be interesting to know on your trips.
Hi Adrian, we do give this information.
In the previous Episode we mention the price of the hotel, ferry and fuel prices for this area and throughout the whole playlist costs are mentioned. Most of the time we grab stuff from the supermarket but this probably doesn't need to be documented each time 😊
If you want to calculate the how much fuel is needed for your own bike/car you can use the link in the first pinned comment to give you access to the route of the day.
Amaizing 👌 You use suspension mode road or dynamic? Hug & Kiss ✌️
Yeah we grew up with lanes like this but didn't really appreciate how crazy they are until now 😄
Thanks for watching, always nice to have viewers from the states 😊
🪄💚🪄
We loved this day! 😎👍
