bobby’s dhaba, popular punjabi vegetarian restaurant, authentic punjabi homestyle food, aaloo paratha, aloo paratha, dal makhani, paneer bhurji, palak paneer, choley masaley, phulka, lassi
Bobby Da Dhaba goes back over 35 years ago when a family from Gurdaspur were invited by the Gurdwara in Bengaluru to set up a tiny eatery next to it to serve “ghar ka Punjabi khaana” to devotees for whatever price they could afford to pay. The eatery has moved away from the gurdwara since, but the tradition of the family’s service to its customers remains, and the food continues to be rustic and wholesome, the sort you will find in a Punjabi home, fortified with loads of makhan, butter! I drove 20 kms to the far flung suburb of Nagasandra to meet Bobby, his grandmother named the dhaba after him, and in addition to savouring a big, fat meal of parathas, chole, paneer bhurji, dal makhani, palak paneer and more, also managed to down a litre of lassi!
Sweet Lassi
Choose from a 750ml/ 1000ml or 1500ml glass based on your appetite. The lassi is thick and creamy and the sort that can easily fill you up, so choose wisely.
Rs. 90/120/150 (usd) for 750ml/1000ml/1500ml
9/10
Aaloo Paratha
Bobby Da Dhaba’s spicy parathas are dripping with butter, when here definitely get these.
Rs. 100 (usd 1.3) for 2 nos.
9/10
Dal Makhani
Although this isn’t a dal that is simmered overnight, it’s creamy with a bit of a bite. You can taste the fiery heat of the chilli tadka on the palate, the paratha helps tone down the heat as does the dollop of butter on this dal that one will definitely return for.
Rs. 80/ 130 (usd 1.1/1.7) for ½ / full portion
9/10
Paneer Bhurji
The tomatoes in this dish give it a sour twang, the paneer isn't the softest and the chillies in this preparation grip you on the throat.
Rs. 150 (usd 2)
7.5/10
Choley Masala
The sort you will taste in a Punjabi home, You can taste the edge of the coriander powder and the warmth of the ginger in this delicious dish.
Rs. 80/ 130 (usd 1.1/1.7) for ½ / full portion
8.5/10
Palak Paneer
The spinach is mellow in its flavours, if spice isn't your thing, order this.
Rs. 80/ 130 (usd 1.1/1.7) for ½ / full portion
7/10
Phulka
Rs. 10 (usd 0.1) per phulka

Kirpal sir ... need some bloopers video....!!
We were one of his initial customers who pushed him to start providing meals us as college students way back in 1992. We used stay in Cox Town and used come daily for dinner. Bobby's Grandmother and mother used cook the food and Bobby used serve it with lots of respect. There used single table with four chairs. Bobby really worked hard and reached where he is today. I remeber it used be 5 rs for dal , 5 rs for Subzi and 1 rupee for roti. God Bless him abundantly
Me, Sandipan and Swastik Paul mario kommed into it. Oye Shera balle balle
Could you inform us about prices of Individual items. - D Kotian

I used to visit the Gurudwara on Sunday with my punjabi colleagues(sunday was a working day for us) and then go to this dhaba Or another one also which was next to it.... Was told that it has closed down when I visited that place last year
It's sad to see people struggle with their business but still moving ahead with faith in God... Sir you are doing great job by giving insight to people.. Thank you 🙏
18 years back, I used to go to this dhaaba near gurudwar. The entire family was taking part.
It was amazing..I was actually searching. Thanks for tracking the place. I will visit soon with family.🙏🙏🙏. I wish they come out of this situation and do well.
That's why Punjabis and selfless services are pondered and loved all over the world
Bobby ji seems to be extremely caring and genuine person. He seems to be taking care of the needs of the customers as if they have come to his home.
You are right. ..he's genuine and humble. ...not referring to this video. ...heard about him. ..
Sorry. He is rude. No respect for customers. Chahitho Khana nahin tho nikaljao
🤣🤣🤣
Ate at the Dhaba 17 years before when it was next to the Ulsoor lake Gurdwara.. Nostalgic.. They still have the same brass glass for Lassi.. 😊😊
I came to Blr 5 years ago, after marriage. My husband used to point out at the gurdwara and say, here they used to be a very good Daba. He was unable to trace it and take me for a meal.
Thanks for bringing his fav Punjabi dhaba where abouts.
Bobby bhai is such a genuine person. God bless him.
Yes Badsha Bhai you are absolutely right. Bobby Bhai seems to be generous and outspoken. In his speech we can understand how much of affection. Really nice. God will bless him defenately

Went nostalgic for some time. Have been visiting " Bobby da dhaba for ages now". The punch line when they were in ulsoor was " adha ghanta lagega Maraj"
Along with the taste, the punchline also has been preserved in the new place..
Also you had to stand outside for a minimum of 15 mins
Punjab food have unique tastes and owner looks very genuine. 👍
God! It brings amazing memories. I did my graduation in Bangalore (Dentistry), and only during my internship I found the dhabha, back in 1996-97. It was behind the Gurudwara , and was the best home cooked food. I last visited Bangalore in 2001, and I’m sure it has changed a lot. I hope to visit it next year if everything goes well. Thank you for sharing this video. 🥰💝
Always people from Punjab are so loving and caring . Hats off Bobby Sir . Thanks Kripal for covering there enterprise in your channel .
Punjabi food is always loved ... Yummyyyy, rich and delicious... whenever we eat out it's always Punjabi food ! Love from andhra
This is the veg food I would like to taste and the owner was very genuine
Only after watching you do I realise that tasting food is an art 🙏 You are a source of information , a source of some nostalgia and source of an enriching experience for the viewers 🙌🙌

Taste is the true religion of food.
Bhangda background music just matches to the ambience.
Daal makhani and Lassi are the must try in any Panjabi outlets.
Thank for exploring new dishes.
Great work FLTV 👍
Thank you Kripal Sir 🙏
Very nice. I am from bangalore settled in Delhi since 1981. When I visit Bangalore next, I shall certainly visit this dhabha alias thabha
I'm sure he slept for a good 7 hrs after having this meal. and even dreamt about butter ... 😂
😂🙂
😀😀
Due to big glass of lassi ... 😁😁
I have visiting Bobby Dhaba from 15 years. I have visited all their 4 locations. It was magic when it was near Gurudwara.
I am saving up the cost of the ticket to fly from the UK to India, so that I can try some of that good wholesome food. The owner seems to be a nice genuine chap.
He is genuine and grounded. ..God bless him. ..
welcome sir😊
Dr Watson please bring Sherlock Holmes too ,both are welcome.
Welcome :)
😁😁😁😁
The matta, kadhi... and cold kheer ..... and Bobby's punjabi style conversation .... Still fresh in my mind .... i have had food in both gurudwara one and then when they moved near the commercial street also... weekly once for more than 10 years ... After they moved out , manjit da dhaba was the next space
That's the trait of a genuine man. Treat your customers well and they will take care of you. Such a bliss to see vegetarian food. Thank you Kripal, appreciate your efforts in getting these people some attention. These are troubled times and everyone needs some love and care. Wish you all the best!
He doesn't year his customers will say all.. he is very rude and best loud, but the food is equally good..
So much respect and love towards gharka khana food .. Bobby is so down to earth..honest .. so nice
Just loved the episode Mr. Kripal. Keep on the good work.
Whole satisfaction of having punjabi food after a quite sometime... Thank you sir❤️👍
The owner very kindful person he speaks very nice . All the dishes are awesome.while eating the food ýr explanation about each food makes us hungry.
Lots of love to bobby paaji...so humble and down to earth personality.....
Gastronomic memories flood through a watering mouth (* wipes mouth), reviving 15yr old memories of munching on the super yumm food and very hungry tummies (aggravated by the wait) in the small, cozy hardwood seating in the place when it was at Ulsoor. The memory of bobby's dad in his buttery talks, his way of all his customers 'maharaaj'. Wow those memories! The egg burji (yes, that was only non-veg we used to get) and paratha accompanied by lassi, followed by a very cold sumptuous bowl of kheer (at times 3) will always linger on and on and on!
Long live bobbyji and ur lengendary food. 🙏
And thanks a lot for bringing this back, Mr Kripal. 🥰
Its amazing to see Bengaluru which has so much of cuisines, literally everything! Thanks for showing us all !
People who r traveling towards Tumkur, Sira, Mangalore, Mumbai, Pune, north Karnataka...
Can have lunch n move on towards their journey......
And people from Bangalore, there is easy way to commute through Namma Metro once it starts .....
Look at Paji's simplicity. He won my heart.
I cant tell how much I love the usage of your words Kripal sir.... " I can already feel that green chilli make an assault on my taste buds...," "like a mine of fire on your tongue"....its a delight to listen to and to watch. Thanks as always
Aruna Ram Kumar I think he said ‘minor’ fire 🧐🧐
@@thecongenialdude5282 Appreciate the correction!
Aruna Ram Kumar no problem😁😁
Absolutely fantastic taste //we used to enjoy the food near the gurudwara I still remember the parata taste and the lassi superb sir

One of the Best Punabi foods. Remember days when standing outside Gurudhwara near Trinity circle in long queues for a seat inside this Dhaba.
Thanks for providing their new location. Helps !!
I'm so happy that you went to Bobby da Dhaba. I'm seeing this with family today. 16 yrs back I had taken my fiance to this place which was in the under belly of the Gurudwara. It was our first food outside. All the memories come rushing back. I hope this eatery doesn't die out.. Too many memories 👌👌👌
I will visit this place once this pandemic situation gets over
Eager to meet Bobby ji such a humble person 🙏 n eager to taste his food
Omg! this is Amazing! Surely gonna visit Bobby the Dhaba this Weekend! I really love the Hospitality and the Humble nature of Bobby Ji!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ma most loving n liking episode is today. Punjabi food
Once Bobby ka Dhaba was one of its own kind. Never got a chance to dine-in because of the waiting time.
A trip to memory lane, so many lunches i had in Bobby's dhaba. That lassi glass would set me full and only can have half paratha and rajma. That time lassi glass was silver glass. All glory Bobby ji, seva chale 1000 years.
Really yummy awesome....Punjabi food always rockzzz....
Hi Kripal, though I have watched almost al ur episodes , this one I really enjoyed. Real nostalgia. The last time I visited this place was wen they were next to the Lavanya theatre for a while in 2015. Had heard from unconfirmed sources that they had moved to Yeshwanthpur. Being from the east of Bangalore, never really cud think of visiting. Long back they used to serve EGG BHURJIS TOO. But they stopped (wen they were next to the gurudwara itself ). Thanks for ferreting out this place. Think wil go ahead and make a list of such lost/hidden gems for u to visit
I miss punjabi food 🥺.. want to go back to lpu and eat 😌
I have been watching your program for the past two months. After seeing you enjoying the each item such as veg, non veg, South, North etc. I started enjoying the home foods every time, when ever I am eating at home. Thanks a lot. You are great dear Kirpal ji

I really adore your channel... It is one of the best food reviewing channels I have seen. You speak so well that it brings me there in that restaurant. And the most admirable quality of yours is that you can actually make your viewers feel the essence of the food through your description of it.
Great job!
🙏😊 Thank you, Mahua!
Ek ghante lagthe maharaj!!! This is the common phrase you heard when you visit this place without booking... After a long wait also, you can have food with utmost satisfaction ❤
It's amazing how your empathetic presentation gets viewers involved totally, hats off to you, by the way a very natty hat too!
