Bro the obvious solution to your header problem is too just install Bluetooth steering 🤣. Nice video bro i get more excited each upload. Congrats on the drone as well
Maybe shift the engine forward a couple inches, but check if that will cause problems with the transmission. On the shifter you could put a little longer shifter and make it like an "S" curve to allow the moving of the engine and transmission forward the couple of inches to keep the headers from interfering with the steering and hitting the firewall.
Definitely feel like if you can slot the engine mounts or just generally shift the drivetrain forward even an inch or two before things are finalized, it looks like it would really just give you a hair more clearance. From there you can play with notching/ denting / clearancing the headers if needed, and there's a couple lower profile or more constrained steering shaft options floating around
For headers I think putting left one on the right side and right one on the left side and routing the exhaust through the fenders will be cool or you could just try to route the downpipe under the exhaust mani and it going to the back will work

I think all the suggestions for the steering column have already been made but my personal vote would be for electric steering... not sure if that's compatible with the drifting and other stuff you want to do though. I'm sure you'll come up with something awesome though!
Can you lengthen the straight section of steering shaft to move the joint towards the front of the car? That should give you a bit more clearance for the headers.
hey i personally own a honda prelude and im not mechanically experienced so i would like to see a video on the whole fuel system install and uninstall yk?
I'm gona be honest bud, if he uses this prelude to show you, it will be 100 percent different than what's on your car, since so much of this car is custom work
Im not sure of his actual reasons but I will say, once all the engine accessories are on, a 2jz would be a pretty tight fit in that car unless he'd start using a chopped or tubular front end, and get creative with cooling. Plus holy heck 2jzs are silly expensive now lol
@@danswope I have a 2J (not in running order) in my garage, and I don’t think it’s too much longer than the 350. But what I’ve learned from engine swapping my MG Midget is if you want to, you can make ANYTHING fit lol

I am surprised the 2j would fit OK considering the extra two cylinders of length, that's interesting honestly. No matter what power train I gotta say I think it's awesome you went with a prelude, from the outside looking in its like it was meant to be! Lol

i like this video a lot, you look more active (hands gestures, quicker talking, etc) and the backround music fits perfectly

Cut the header flange and shorten the tubing bring the headers closer to the block and away from the steering ?

adapt to Toyota or Kia steering column with electric steering (used all the time on fox body "Ls" swaps)
