What a fun variety of books to read in May! Lots of historical options infused with romance & some fantasy 😍I'm excited to hear your thoughts on The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels because that sounds like such a fun read. My vote was for Shady Hollow because I really enjoyed it with the Zootopia meets Gilmore Girls vibes. Either way, I hope you have a great month of reading and hopefully have some five star books in this bunch! I'm a big crier, so I'll be curious to see if The Women does the trick lol.
Yes I’m so excited about all of these! Thanks for voting, I love that description of Shady Hollow!! Definitely want to get to it soon even though it looks like The Familiar officially won, haha. I’ll keep you updated on how emotional I get during The Women! 😆 Hope you have a great reading month with lots of 5 stars too! ❤️
I'm already looking forward to your thoughts on The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels! I can relate to not crying much with books. I'll tear up and get emotional like you said but I have yet to experience the full water works lol. My vote is for Shady Hollow 😊Happy reading!
Yay, can’t wait to read that one!! Haha glad you can relate and that I’m not the only unemotional book reader 😆 Thanks for your vote! I think The Familiar has won out but I’ll definitely read Shady Hollow if I have extra time, haha
Hello! I’m also from Western NC! I live in a small town called Hildebran in Burke County. I’m right outside of Hickory (Catawba County).🙂 I LOVED The Familiar! It was my first Leigh Bardugo book. I’ll definitely be reading more from this author!🖤
Oh nice, it’s great to meet you!! You’re not too far from me! And I’m so glad you loved The Familiar, I can’t wait to read it! Definitely recommend checking out Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom 😍
Ahhh loving the cosy vibes in this video, that fire 😍 I’m gonna be reading powerless in may too!! Can’t wait to see if it lives up to the hype, realllly hoping it does!
yaaaassss Wisteria Society! I picked it up and just haven't wanted to read physical books lately, but I think I'm gonna pick it back up again. Thanks for inspiring me! I literally loved the first few chapters, time to crack on! Also I vote Shady Hollow!
Oh yay, glad to inspire you to pick it back up!! Can’t wait to read it 😊 And thanks for your vote, I think The Familiar has won out but if I have extra time, I’ll definitely be getting to Shady Hollow haha
I voted on your community page - but I think you should go with The Familiar for the free pick! ✨☺️ I also want to pick it up this month, but my TBR is STACKED currently so I’m unsure lol but would love to hear your thoughts on it!
I was going to watch the premiere (is it called that) but I missed it! Notification didn't notificate. Anyways! So fun, as always! Although when you said your favorite color is blue, I wanted to jump through the screen and save you haha too many choices!!! But you handled that very well 😅 I love that you put in a prompt about you crying and then go on to define how much you might possibly cry 😂 I have definitely been known to bawl a little bit. I haven't heard of most of these, but The Women is supposed to be good and Powerless as well. For the Free pick I'm gonna vote for The Familiar! I'm a bit late on my May tbr planning, hopefully I can get to it this week! Hope you'll like all the books! 😁☀
Haha aww no worries!! Oh I know, that could have gone very badly but I can be decisive sometimes (well, at the beginning of the video at least) 😆 I guess I should have known when I put the prompt in about crying that it would be a struggle, I did that to myself haha Good to know about your vote, The Familiar seems to be winning so far! 👍 Can’t wait to see your May TBR, and thanks for watching and commenting as always! ❤️❤️❤️
Ooooh I love that you have such a fun blend of historical fiction and fantasy! So many of these books are on my tbr. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on The Women and CC3 (if you get to it)! 😊 I’m really intrigued by The Familiar so that’s my vote! 😊 happy reading!
Me too, I haven’t read much straight historical fiction (besides fantasy) lately so I’m very excited to jump back into one of my favorite genres!! 😊 I will try to get to both of those and report back to you haha Thanks for the vote and for watching! ❤️
Looks like some good prompts. I look forward to hearing your thoughts about The Women. I'm in line for it at the library. Also I was born in October, too! So fun. :D
I've read both of those books and I would choose the Familiar! Shady Hollow is cute but it didn't keep me engaged. Great video! I really want to read the historical romance so I can't wait to hear what you think!
Sorry for the red light flare that shows up for the majority of the video! My phone camera is a bit messed up and I need to get it fixed 😬😆
I didn't mind at all :)
