Great video! I own the Atomos Ninja V, and honestly, the only real upside to me, is the build quality and the "show off factor". Same with the Shinobi. The Ninja V is loud, and full of bugs, the Shinobi has no hdmi out or DC options. The feelworld f6 plus might be a cheaper build, but with the firmware update that adds scopes, allong with the price and weight and swivel mount, its just great!

Glad to see a touchscreen monitor at this low of a price. How well does this size monitor help with focusing? I bought a 7-inch monitor some time ago, but the screen seemed a little "soft", and therefore didn't help as much as I had hoped with focusing. Will the F6 Plus zoom in when being fed a UHD signal?
I know what you're talking about, but it still helps to me. I think my brain adjusts for the fact that is a little soft. I'm able to get accurate focus and yes the f6 will zoom when shooting 4k
I purchased the F5 5. And was dissapointed with the focus peaking compared to the Atomos Ninja. How does the focus peaking on the 6plus compare with the Shinobi?
One question, the F6 plus in case you are shooting on 4k 50p, does it still work? is there a way of recording with that but send a lower signal over hdmi or something? (GH5 here)
It doesn't work for me in 4k 60p, but I'm pretty sure the gh5 let's your record at 50p and send over a slower frame rate through hdmi. I don't own one currently, but I own the fz2500. The menu systems should be similar. In this one it's in menu>motion picture>HDMI REC OUTPUT

Compare to Feelworld LUT6 which one you think is better. My camera is bmpcc 4k
I was looking at all of these and many others. The feelworld might be good but I know the atomos will be good. I know shinobi will be bright enough whereas the feelworld might be bright enough. Atomos has a recording option for more money and also sdi is an option. I really wanted to save but the feelworld thats the closest to the shinobi was only $80 cheaper. I'd rather just get a monitor I can trust instead of one that might be good.
You gotta do what makes you feel comfortable. They are both great monitors.
Hello, I'm french and nobody talk about this product here. Today what would you choose between F6 Plus and LUT7 ?
That's a subjective call. Very similar except the lut7 is 7 inches and the f6 is 5.5 inches I think. I prefer a smaller size setup, so I still would go f6. I use mine on monopod. I wouldn't like the size and weight of the lut 7 personally. It might be different for you though
I put white spots with a permanent marker at positions at the upper front above the F5 screen, next to the buttons I use most. The rest is muscle memory. Prefer the F5. More compact and lighter for handheld on a C100 MkII. Basically use it of false-color exposure.

I shoot videos of surfing. My Sony A6300 monitor is so dim, can't see the subject. Do you think the Feelworld F6 plus will make viewing bright enough when using the hood?
Absolutely. I rarely have to use the hood.
question? how do i get this monitor to connect to my Nikon D7100. I can't see anything when trying to video. I'm using the HDMI cable.
I don't use Nikon's, but if you have the hdmi connection, my guess is that your camera is capable of displaying. Perhaps HDMI or external displaying is not enabled in your camera's menu. That's the first thing I would try. If that doesn't work, dive into the menu of whatever monitor you are using and reduce the resolution.
Do you know, if this is completely the same than the ANDYCINE A6 Plus?
I've never used it but it appears to be the same exact thing from what I can tell. Might be a few bucks cheaper.
Hi, I got feelworld f6 plus with a7iii and when I mirror the screen, it scales it down so I am not using the whole monitor. When I disable info display, it uses whole monitor. I need to enable display info because I need to see my focus point on the monitor. I see that on your f6 plus it uses the whole monitor while displaying all the info. Please how can I do that? Can't find that anywhere. Thank you!
It has be something about the a7iii. I have a a6400 and a6600 and I can't replicate your issue. Unfortunately, I'm not sure. Consider updating the firmware on your monitor and camera
Wow!!! I'm loving the F6. I will be selling the Z Cam E2C to upgrade and i will be selling the F5 Feelworld with it and grabbing the F6 for the next cam after watching this vid. As a videographer Design don't matter to me MOST IMPORTANT how is Picture quality between them. can you rely on them for post.
Post? I'm not using these to edit, but I'm guessing that's not what you mean. Are you asking if the colors on the monitors are accurate compared to what is being shot to the camera? For me it is more than close enough. I've never had any issues with the F6 and I've owned it for many years now. Plus they all have options to modify the colors.

No it isn't enough to be honest.
It's not the brightest and the gloss on the screen doesn't help, but it isn't bad either. It also comes with a suh shade that solves the issue. I don't remember the shinobi being that much brighter though, and it doesn't come with a shade. If I were you, I would purchase both and return the one you don't want.

The most important factor that is not mentioned is the brightness. The Shinobi is 1000 nits in brightness. More than double the brightness of the F6. For outdoor events that difference alone makes the cost of the Shinobi much more desirable.
On paper it sounds good, but in real life I didn't see a huge difference.
@@MichaelWTurner were you able to use the f6 plus for outdoor ceremonies without the sunshade?
@@ModernFrameMedia Yes, but in intense light it us needed. And in very intense light the shinobi is hard to see too and there is no sunshade.
I never get why some folk prefer waveform over false color. With FC you can see EXACTLY where and how the image is exposed, like a threshold map. With waveform, you're making an educated guess of what values on the Y-axis represent corresponding vertical pixels in the image. There's less information. Why do that to yourself?
its an easy guess and kind of irrelevant 90% of the time anyway. False color makes it hard to pay attention to the image as a whole, composition, lighting, color etc.
@@johngeorgo Your take, not mine. Each to his own I guess. Regarding attending to the whole image, false colour isn’t left on permanently on of course, just switched in briefly as an exposure tool, mostly to nail skin.
@@kipling1957 well exactly, you only check it once and close it. Waveform can be left on an overlay for you to always check. anyway to its it's own
Can feelword f5 touch to focus?
No. It isn't a touch screen at all. Most cameras I have used will have touch focus on their own lcd screen anyway.

@@FilmGradeIII it's pretty much in the video. the touch screen interface and scroll wheel make it faster to use and customize for me, and it is less money and comes with more accessories. there's nothing wrong with shinobi. If you care about the additional features, then it is a good buy

I've order a new F6 Plus for £130 (about $150). At that price I can live with the little advantages the Shinobi might have over the F6 Plus.
2021 and the atomos is still 399 in Europe...
Poor monitors, not worth it. I got feelworld f5 pro and with less than 2 hours use the screen is flickering.
Sorry to hear that. I've owned two feelworlds and haven't had any issues. Sounds like you definitely got a dud though. Might be worth it to do an exchange if possible
BEEN WATCHING A MILLION VIDEOS ON THESE MONITORS AND NONE OF THEM SHOWS THE MONITOR CONTROLLING THE CAMERAS SETTINGS ND MENUS.. NO POINT ON HAVING ALL THESE FEATURES ON A MONITOR IF IT CANT CONTROL CAMERAS THAT ARE TOUCH SCREENS SUCH AS 80D 90D 6DMK2 1DXM3 ECT.. GREAT VIDEO THO

No monitor can do that though, unless it’s a proprietary one like they have for RED cameras.
