The fact people are mad that he wore the suit and didn't gain 400 extra lbs makes me so mad. He played this role so perfectly, and I was an ugly sobbing mess by the end. This movie made a special pace into my heart.
It isn't about hope, the main character died but still believed in the potential and goodness humans have, he's a being who fucked up but he never stopped caring. It's beautiful.
SARDAR UDHAM (2021) is the best bollywood movie ever made. IMDB 8.4 . Mark my words you will not forget this movie. It will break your stereotype regarding indian movies that they are only song and dance and fun. It will change your top 10 movie list of all times.
This movie had a profound impact on me. I think it explores so many versions of humans. Overly religious w savior complex. Binge eating. Enabler. Borderline traits. Forgiveness. So much. The final scene turned me into an embryo basically. If this film confused solely because it was in a play format… you are just a confused human, in general. A masterpiece. Ellie’s character is actually the most complex I think. She hates the bird because her father cares for it. She likes to hurt people because she has like developed borderline. Fear of rejection. Enjoying embarrassing and hurting others. Loner. Intelligent and broken.
I've watched you across your reactions, especially being the only one with a real The Wrestler reaction years ago, and I am elated in a way to see you react to this film even though it makes me sob the same way as you every time. I love you're still a presence on UA-cam and making your name reacting to Aronofsky films. Make it your niche, brother, and so many lost cinephiles will find you.

You have completely missed the point of this incredible film. Think of it as a father seeking redemption. Your second viewing of this film once knowing the reveal of the essay makes it one of the most beautiful ever made and Brendan Frasier deserves every award he gets!
Yes, Brendan was in a fat suit… sort of. Aronovsky wanted Brendan to have full range and articulation of his head and neck so we could see the actual acting, unencumbered by the fat suit there. So, the fat around his neck and face is CGI. He was able to show us his full range of emotions in acting. Brendan deserved that Oscar!! If you want to see more of Brendan (you said you haven’t heard of him before,) He was the star of “The Mummy” franchise. He also was in another gay movie called, “Gods and Monsters” with Ian McKellen. I was hoping he would get an Oscar nomination for that but he didn’t. You are such a beautiful guy and you have a beautiful smile. Just needed to tell you that.
