Thank you so much! I followed your instructions step-by-step (by pausing/un-pausing your video) and successfully installed the new lock! Yay! Thank you again!
I never knew a deadbolt had an "up" marked on the unit, apparently no other youtubers did either. I came back after re-installing my new deadbolt to say thank you for being thorough and to subscribe to your channel. Please keep up the good work!
Thank you! 🤗
I'm in the process of replacing my deadbolt lock on my apartment front door. Your video helped me a lot. Excellent video. Thank you so much.
Glad it helped
Good vid. I didn't realize the round pin had a flat surface to fit the deadbolt hole. That may be why I couldn't get mine installed. Will try it today. Thanks!
Glad I could help
HOME RUN! THANKS!!! Damn deadbolt to my patio was on backwards, so in other words, whomever on the outside could unlock the door from the outside. Seriously, I got tired of waiting on maintenance to come out to change a lock, being that the property is leased, I didn't want be liable if I damaged the door/lock. Literally, seconds into your video I noticed I had the same type lock, in an instant I flipped the lock around, easy-lemon-squeezy! Thank you.
Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much. Really helps a lot .
Glad it helped!
Most of this video was so dark, I thought I was watching a Batman movie.
If anyone comes across a loose door latch or deadbolt and wants a solid repair that doesn't involve glue, stick, putty, or that ugly metal sleeve that ruins the look of your door, ReSecure Latch is that answer. ReSecure Latch sits inside the door alongside the latch, resecuring your loose latch from the INSIDE. Great for property maintenance, homeowners, and DYiers.
Thank You
You're welcome
jim they make an extraction bit to remove that screw looks like you have some sanding caulking and painting on that jamb to get to
Thank You very much!
You're welcome!
thank you four your help
Excellent Video!! Separate question. Is there an easy way to remove Kwikset Cylinder out to rekey. I have lost the original keys in few of my doors and i want to rekey it with the cradle.
Always the odd thing to deal with. My new Schlage came with a collar on the key side that needed removal. The lock instructions look like a mystery language, so finding what releases that collar needs to be shown. Also, rotating the dead bolt for left or right locks, and extending or reducing the length of the deadbolt depending on the length required. Also, a new deadbolt like this might be bigger than the old one, so chiseling the door and frame may be necessary.
Thanks for watching.
Thank you this helps alot
Glad it helped
Thanks
Welcome

You're welcome!
My deadbolt lock inside the bar was twisted like someone did it on purpose if there is a reason can someone please tell me
Headed South for the Winter Jim?
No just for a visit. Back in Jersey now.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
What's the point of that deadbolt? Surely it's not to keep thieves, since you're not using a double cylinder dead bolt on a windowed door.
Well, Only if this is what you do if the latch won't retract anymore.
Thanks for watching.
