Thank you! You too!
The white, light is the jockey holding on, leaning in to the neck. Its beautiful
Wow, I love that! Thank you for sharing :-)
I love this Karen.
The bigger lesson for me was to recognize that when I see something that really appeals, resist the temptation to fuss -- I, too grew attached to that lovely ephemeral tree, lol! When I looked at the finished dry painting, I was delighted that the salt created a texture that looks to me like a flock of white doves.
Thank you so much for sharing that. Really pleased you found this tutorial helpful :-)
Great idea & don't panic is great!
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT paintings that come from our imagination are so fun because they are always a surprise and l find them to always be unique.....please do more....ha ha

I’m so glad to have watched you “not panic” and discover another way to look at your work! I usually end up with mud, but you’re showing me how to avoid that.

This tutorial was very interesting. I am glad you explained about not panicking about something that didn't develop as you planned. I probably would have tried to clean off the canvas and start again.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you 😊

Fun techniques with a great result 🙂

Amazing!!!

Your painting is mesmerizing!
Pour acrylics & feel if can tilt them why not watercolor!
Myself (paint on my lap) so water proof clothes would help 😊.
You may need to change your painting position! Have fun :-)
This video is really interesting and the painting is lovely. Yes, you've inspired me to try pouring watercolors. I have worked with pouring acrylics and am having a good time with it. But this has a different appeal and I love the textures you have introduced to me. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing… I love acrylic pouring, and I thought it be really nice to try and Watercolour . And it really does loosen up the painting. I hope you enjoy pouring water colours.
This turned out just lovely! I think watercolor pouring is more forgiving than acrylic. :)
I think so too!
Fabulous
Thank you :-)
Lovely painting Karen! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure 😊
Pouring seems a lot of fun. I'm sure going to try it aswell. Love your work and really appreciate your explanations. Thank you Karen.

Appreciate the comments about panic. The painting is very Tolkien! :)
This is so serendipitous. I have some leftover paint from another project and was wondering what to do with it. Now I know! P.S. I really enjoyed the video.
You are so welcome! I hope you enjoy using the leftover paint!
your melody is reflected in your wonderful art Karen-thank you!

Awake, O north wind; And come, thou south; Blow upon my garden, That the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, And eat his pleasant fruits.

Lovely
Thank you so much 😊
Beautiful. I'm going to do this today
Have fun!
Love it Karen!💖 The strange thing is I was thinking recently I'd like to do some pouring. I first started in 2019 with acrylic pouring and then the year before last year was when I found watercolour and fell in love with it and have been doing it ever since. You have inspired me to pour with watercolour now. Thanks! 😊💖
Thank you so much for sharing… So pleased you found this inspiring. I hope you enjoy pouring water colours!
This is so beautiful thank you for sharing, I really love looking for shapes in abstract works and I definitely see a boy and girl to the right of the tree gazing down over a wall .their backs are towards us and there is a possible garden scape around them. Sometimes I boost up colors with negative painting to bring the hidden effects out. I just love your tutorials thanks.
Thank you so much for sharing! Really pleased you like this style of painting as well. Can be so creative.
I see a mallard duck in a pond❤
Amazing! I love how you can see different things in abstract or semiabstract work.
This might sound weird, but where would you sign it? I’m trying to learn where to sign so it doesn’t take away from the picture.
Great question… Are usually sign with a waterproof, black fine liner pen. In either the bottom left or right hand corner of my painting. And I usually write it quite small, so it doesn’t take anything away from the painting. Hope this is helpful :-)
I have a question about materials. What do you tape your paper to? I only have an unwieldly large wooden rectangle and I could use something more convenient.
Thanks for your question, I use watercolour blocks so there is a grey board backing onto the pad that I use. I like the blocks because they help with paper warping. You could use an ordinary piece of grey board or a thin piece of MDF as well. Hope this is helpful :-)
@@KarenRiceArt Thank you! I very much appreciate your response!

Good evening
I am Anil Katkar from Pune
I am an Artist and made three water colour landscape paintings exhibitions at Pune still in a confusion that is it necessary to pre wet the paper before painting? Or only sky area is required wetting?
I will be very thankful to you if you would clear my doubt
You are the right person who would certainly clear my doubts
Thank you for your question, you can with the sky area if you like or you can paint wet and dry. You can with the entire surface or parts of it, it’s entirely up to you. That’s what I love about Watercolour , there’s lots of different ways of using the techniques. I hope you continue to enjoy your Watercolour journey. :-)
Thanks madam for quick reply to my massage Cleared all my doubts
Gorgeous! What tape did you use? Thank you.
Thank you so much. Are used Washie tape.
@@KarenRiceArt thank you!

How long the paper needs to dry?
It depends how wet the paper is and how warm or cool your room is.
