He has really killed all his skills throuout the years of drugs and boose, like Paul said in his book, that he was like a star in the sky that could explode, but he killed the glow, it’s a shame, he will forever be ace from kiss and should be recognized for his contribution to rock n roll, but the skills and fire he once had is long gone.
Ace was my favorite guitarist in my preteen years. He holds a special place in my heart, but this sounds like it was played by a tone deaf person. What a shame.
This is the man that made me pick up a guitar...and he WAS good back then....but I mean come on...how can you listen back to something like this and NOT feel embarrassed... I still love Ace back in the KISS days and even the 96 reunion tour (he was on point... seriously) He was never known for his technical prowess but this is abasmyl at best...fuck i hate this is what he has reduced himself to.....
