Syndicus is proud to introduce ORION.
Part of our next generation of AKs, extremely light, versatile, little to no recoil and ready to be used by any modern day operator.
ORION is our new .223/556 AK designed and built with our proprietary and patented AR magwel, able to take standard Pmags. In addition we also designed a rear trunion that comes standard riveted onto our recievers for an easy installation of an 1913 style butt stock or an AR buffer tube / Butt Stock.
This has been two years in development with our team here at Syndicus. But we also couldn’t have done it without our partners at Texas Weapon Systems with their awesome rail and Unrivaled Technologies with their amazing brake that makes this AK extremely flat when shooting.

Lol PSA made one of these last year for a 3rd of the price and even more function, since it has true bolt hold open, and still maintains the paddle lock system if you want it.

I was about to say this. But also add that the PSA is still a little glitchy. However, a JAKL does all this. For 1300..
Zastava and Definitive Arms first came out with this concept.
I was an AK guy from the 80s. Wolverines! I got my first one in 99 (SAR1) for $299. My love for the Kalashnikov and the 7.62x39 cartridge has never waned. I have "a few" AKs and some other rifles that shoot that cartridge. But... The "high end" AK makes no sense to me. Also the 5.56 cartridge in an AK makes no sense to me (except the Galil and the Valmet). I don't predict this will find much market today in this economy where buyers are more selective.

At that price just save money a get a Galil for a $1800 less
If I wanted an expensive, modernized AK id buy a Galil Ace Gen 2.

Needs a full length handguard with cutout for gas adjustment.
From consuming ak products, all I have to say is if you want a refined ak out of the box go with any galil ace gen 2 model.

I tried the Syndicus AK as well, handling definitely feels better than regular AKs but probably not $2500 better

I bought an AR AND an Ak for under 1k. I can use whatever mag i want.
My Serbian M90np AK is 5.56 and uses AR mags and only cost 600 bucks
If you want your AK to be an AR… buy an AR
I like AKs. What makes them so expensive over ARs is there is so much labor involved. AR manufacturing can and is very mechanical and automated with cnc machines and everything while aks need to be built by hand. What made aks cheap and ARs expensive 30-50 years ago is exactly what makes them the opposite now.
