Great video and impressive that you have these out so often! Got to check out some of these games and maybe download some of those graphics demos ... sweet. Must check out K&A and that polar bear book too!
TY you for this C64 content! Keeps us C64 fans in the know. Hope you have great holidays over the next few weeks and can't wait to see what you have found for us in Jan.
Another great vid. I agree that BWC2 has a lot more in-game banter that does make me want to say 'get on with it' several times but I do like the additional graphic stills it had over the first one. Yeti Mountain looks good. Looking forward to that release.
What a banger of an episode - living for this C64 art right now. Loving the look of Briley Witch, but like you I think I'd enjoy it a lot more without the random battles
I should give Briley Witch Chronicles a try. I love JRPG style games and don't really mind the XP grind so much. It looks to be rather high quality in terms of graphics and sound.
So, I loved SJA’s work on Zeta Wing and Soul Force (a couple of absolute corkers). Whilst I have still to get to Bailey Witch Chronicles, I have seen a few comments around suggesting both Zeta Wing 2 and BWC 2 whilst still very good games are more redux than sequels. That said, I’d probably take a SJA redux over a lot of other stuff anyway given how good her work is. Love the channel, keep up the good work
Great vid, and good to see that you are actually playing those games properly and with a certain skill, unlike some of the other yt C64 reviewers 😊 Interesting games as well. BWC as feared with unchanged combat system, but of course an awesome release nevertheless. Santas Workout III looks fun too - just wish they had mirrored the increased sneakiness after putting on the sneakers with a muffled walking sound. 😊 Thanks for your content, and have a great festive season!
Cheers, and i appreciate your observation about others rushing out videos without learning the game. I think these people do a scene a disservice by not presenting a game to its best abilities. Have a great xmas and new year.
Thanks again Louie for another quality packed episode. Your honest opinions are much appreciated and through the provided links we can check out the games for ourselves. Hope you have a great holiday season.
Louie, another legendary roundup, and it seems like you're about to draw the curtain ... sadly, the end of an era awaits. But not before another ranking vid of 2023's best, with glass jaw Brendan invited (what's new) to the judge's panel ... ah well
Thank you so much for your support. The commitment to do a January video has more to do with supporting Yeti Mountain rather than the ranking vid. At this stage, I am not sure if I will run the Gamers Choice Award at this stage, they haven't been the most popular videos in the past couple of years. I am really lucky to have a good loyal base of viewers in their thousands but growth in this area has been stagnant for RGN and I thrive of being able to grow an audience. For whatever reason, RGN has never been able to obtain a breakout video and it can't be due to the topic as I have seen other UA-camrs succeed with half-ass creations. We'll see what happens...
@@RetroGamerNationThat's an outright injustice ... because all of your videos are top-notch in quality, with blunt and honest commentary. Whichever direction you decide to take ... wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ... and all the best with your future endeavours
Static FOulhorn Attack... The creator has the EXACT right idea! ALL games shold ALWAYS take up the ENTIRE screen...no freakin excuses on a C64 screen that is already too small. This HAS TO BE the standard at the minimal. Always create a game as if it was for the Arcade that accepts quarters...that start right awat when you press START. this is one of the keys in creating Arcade quality and Console quality games. C64 already loads too freakin long. Games have to start instantly.
Enjoyed it loads mate! I save the vids so I can watch them on Sunday with the family around. Sláinte and Merry Christmas!

That Yeti game looks like it might be really fun.

Another great video. I hope to watch more roundups in the new year, but understand that these take time and effort to produce.
Thank you for your support - yes, finding time to produce these round ups are going to be much more difficult in 2024. We will see what happens.
@@RetroGamerNationmaybe one a quarter 🤔
Yes possibly - I sense that I may need to go every two or three months if I continue to produce these Round Ups.
I foretell that Yeti Mountain is going to be up there with a Pig Quest and Sam's Journey 😎
I certainly hope so. The team has poured so much time and care into the project.
Another quality vid from you dude, up their with the best c64 content. Cheers.
Thanks a lot - Happy New Year Louie :)
Nice one, thanks RGN and have a wonderfull christmas time.

It sounds like BWC would be right up your alley. If you have the time to put into it then you'll enjoy it.
Great Video. I hope it will continue next year. Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Lovely and beautiful graphic retro designs!
Thanks for all your videos this year. Always enjoy watching.
Just discovered your channel today. Well done! Subscribed.
Welcome aboard. Hopefully I can find a way to continue making content in a way that doesn’t feel like’work’.
Another jewel! Thanks for being our official news.
Brilliant. As usual. Burger Time looks fantastic. Am I right in thinking there's no time limit?
That’s right there is no time limit from what i remember.
Great work Louie! Thanks for keeping us informed.

Zeta Wing 2 is much better than the first.
@@commodorechronicles good to hear.
So true, SJA's output is always of a high standard and she is probably scutinised at a higher benchmark level than most others.
