WeHo Pride 2024 celebrations take over West Hollywood

- WeHo Pride is the City of West Hollywood’s annual LGBTQ+ Pride celebration. For decades, West Hollywood has been home to one of the largest annual Pride celebrations in the world, drawing hundreds of thousands of people each June.
Thousands will gather in West Hollywood for WeHo Pride Weekend taking place from Friday, May 31 through Sunday, June 2 with OUTLOUD at WeHo Pride, the WeHo Pride Street Fair, the Women's Freedom Festival and Dyke March, WeHo Pride Parade, and much more!
The parade kicks off at 12:30 PM at N. Crescent Heights Boulevard, making its way west along Santa Monica Boulevard to North San Vicente Boulevard in the City’s Rainbow District.
The WeHo Pride Parade is an imaginative and colorful tradition that embraces LGBTQ+ representation, inclusion, and progress. Full of music, dancing, festive floats, vibrant marching contingents, and creative flair, the event celebrates LGBTQ+ people and their contributions to community and culture.

What is Pride about? It seems misplaced to celebrate something without a significant accomplishment behind it. Who cares about anyone's sexual orientation? It's a private matter that doesn't need public attention. Your sexual preferences are your own business, much like how you choose to use the restroom. It's not something the public needs to know.
It’s to groom the next generation
It’s about celebrating who you are and being proud of it. Homosexual people back then were treated with harshness and cruelty. Now they celebrate themselves to show that self confidence matters and it’s ok to be different (though I do agree LGBTQ doesn’t need an entire month, just a day or a week is fine)
