I’ve always wondered how to make drones work for me, been running into lots of issues and a fair few videos ain’t really helping much for some reason, but this is motivating me to get it all done! just need to figure out how to get it all to work with automation and stuff
I get into a creative slump sometimes too, but I end up just building as I go. Never really plan out the builds entirely. I just have a quick idea and just try it.

I love the fact that you have been playing this whole time not realising one of the legs on your miner isn't retracting properly, and is getting forced through the voxel every time you send the drills down lol.
You should come play on Dark Frontier / Omicron System - it's a modded overhauled server, new recipes, new challenges, new materials/ores, would love to see what you come up with there.
for the door on the outer wall maybe try horizontal pistons again but cut the door in the middle and retract the doors to the left and right? that way the pistons wouldn'T have to pull only half the weight

It was mainly doing that on my time lapse machine that records it. It was actually normal on my main machine.
