- Welcome to the new time lapse series, but this time in space. We will attempt to build a large Space Station near earth in survival mode. To make things a bit quicker, we added the Build and Repair Mod to this series.

Cool new series Dave! Very interested in seeing what kind of space station you have in mind. I have to say i was really surprised when you placed the frame block for a "Bob" and i paused the video and looked again and was like sweet he is using "Bob's" for this series. I usually keep one in a build area for just build work. and then i have a small grid ship with 4 grinders and a swarm of small grid Nanobots to chew through ships quickly from all the destruction and chaos in my worlds. Just dont let anyone try to shame you for using the handy little Nanobots. Cheers

I’m glad this guy builds instead of telling people how not to build and doing tutorials. No one really needs 1000 tutorials, but seeing how the game works and fun little projects you could do would make you want to play the game is much more beneficial.

I love the idea and gameplay of space engineers but the thing is, it’s very complex and confusing for me to start. Can anybody give me some tips?

I'm new to the game and i was curious to know what are the small blocks you added to the advance rotor? i thought they we're small cargo blocks but i can't seem to find those anywhere.
Nice idea. The only con is we don't se the finished ship in closeup. For what do you use the hinges inside the Cockpit area?
I usually do a separate video to go over details that don't really show in the time lapse. I should have one up relatively soon

I noticed you ship being pushed back while drilling into that asteroid, I temporarily convert the ship to a station to use rotor & piston based drilling rigs

We use to use this mod long time ago, but time to use it once again. It is in use in this series. Actually, was hoping that the streaking lights will show in the time lapse, but it didn't record or show up on my second account that is filming. Maybe it is a setting?
@@PandemicPlayground use a mod to change the color from yellow Red ?? maybe And add another 3 to 4 of them maybe it'll show up for vividly??
I'm not watching this series. Build and repair system is not a mod, it's a cheat. I'm not watching a cheating series.
Damn I hope that’s a joke, if not that sucks to hear, you’ll really be missing out on a great series
Build and repair is ok in moderation, in the beginning I think it is definitely reasonable to use it to speed things up otherwise it can get really tedious.
@@meteor3340 Build and Repair is one of the most massively overpowered mods available. At an obscenely low resource and power cost, it constructs and collects objects with a very wide range, quickly, and can even disable enemy drones within its range and scavenge them for parts. It's never okay to use in my not so humble opinion.

I agree with you it is overpowered. I use to say the same too. It is going to be a big build and was hoping that the streaking lights get captured for a cool light show, but turns out it isn't working for some reason. Feedback is always appreciated and I respect your opinion on this.
