The movie is pretty good, to be honest. It's DnD enough so that even casual DnD players will get some of the references, but it's not overbearing hitting you in the face with it.
Luckily it didn't have a large impact on the game, but you can only PLAY ONE LAND *OR* CAST ONE SPELL from Share the Spoils per turn, not as much as you can pay for :)
Veggie! You announced Zulaport triggers but never gained the life at 38:17! Also, this channel is one of my top MTG Commander channels to watch. You are all great, keep it up!
14:00 Point of note, Black Market Connections is not may. You have to choose at least one. I've been intentionally left at 1 life to die by my own BMC. lol
This is the second time I've watched this episode I'm pretty sure, but with all the new stuff in 7 months, I have to ask - what are the odds and/or how do I request through official channels that ya'll revisit the DnD Lair? Maybe with a Themberchaud? Maybe with custom rules allowing for these 6 to have "Choose a Background"? Eh???
Not necessarily. If the cards were never at one point controlled by the owner, then yes. However, if the owner at one point controlled them, then no, they go back to the owner.
Grim Hireling makes 2 treasures when 1 or more creatures deal combat damage. There was a point here where the Forge player attacked with 2 creatures and make 4 treasures. Presumably thinking each creature would make 2 each.
Unfortunately Veggie shouldn't have been able to make Ormendahl... He had the shapeshifter from BMC, so he had a snake... And if he hadn't seen it, then he should have gotten the snake the first upkeep after he cast the Ophiomancer. I'm not tryuing to ruleslawyer for fun, but it did impact the game rather significantly. Also another thing is that all permanents owned (at time of death of Airball) should have been exiled, not given back in play to the owner, but I don't know if they play with house rules for that. So BMC wouldn't have killed Veggie...
You are correct about the shapeshifter, but they handled the player death correctly. If an effect you controlled caused the permanent to come into the game (Share the Spoils), those permanents are exiled, which is why Wilson was exiled and didn't go back to PowrDragn, but if you controlled the permanent due to a theft effect (Expropriate), control goes back to the previous controller, which is why BMC went back to Veggie
@@seanfallon2271 Thank you for the information! I hadn't realized that the permanents went back to the player in that situation. I have been handling it wrongly then in my games. :)
@@Jerm_Warfare I agree that, seeing the last few cards in NerdGirls hand, NerdGirl was in a pretty good position, while she didn't seem to be. I must say that these kind of mistakes are easily made. But as soon as the Ophiomancer came out I was waiting for this to happen...
Idk about lifegain decks, but you should have a few ways to gain life if you run these kinds of cards. I feel like a lot of ppl don't realize this when they run stuff like Sylvan Library and Bolas' Citdel.
What you have been smoking. Honor Among Thieves is actually good. Besides have you seen DnD Book of Vile Darkness or that animated movie version of first Dragonlance book because those are actually bad DnD movies.
@@Mecha82 everyone I know who is big in dnd an seen the movie says its the worst movie they have ever seen. I don't think it can be as bad as lost in translation but I'm not wasting money to rent it
@@adamwarehime6444 Up to you boo boo but most of the DnD content creators I know loved it. Also, as a big DnD fan, I loved the movie and all the small references in it. If you could I would give it a chance but again. Your money, your time.
PowrDragn: First turn Llanowar Elves
Nerdgirl: PowrDragn must die
PowrDragn: I attack Veggie with the Elves
Nerdgirl: All is forgiven
UPDATE: I have now seen half of the movie
I still havnt seen it either. Big nerd too, over 400hrs played in D&D 5e but I have yet to be compelled to watch the new movie
Same bro, seen half in a plane

Movie wasn’t that good. Not missing anything lol
I haven't seen the movie either, but Forge would go great in my Negan deck
Fun fact, if veggie had not been hit with the elves at the beginning, he would likely have won 😂
Omg
Luckily it didn't have a large impact on the game, but you can only PLAY ONE LAND *OR* CAST ONE SPELL from Share the Spoils per turn, not as much as you can pay for :)
Yeah, I was just about to post that. I actually didn't realize you could cast a land and play a spell from the pile.
@@nomizak Not in the same turn (only one thing each turn), but yes, a land or a spell!
@magnusmagicus1977 oh yeah its or not and. I misread it when I rewound the video. Lol
Yes sir,
27:58 "Chicken!" One of the creature types technically present on the 3/2 shapeshifter token that never was.
I'm judging Veggie for not seeing the movie yet.
Hey! I have now seen half of it
@@VeggieWagon Okay, you get half credit then.
@VeggieWagon Hey, from Forge's perspective he is the good guy, so you were on brand atleast! 😂
@@VeggieWagonit's a good movie, but I've been playing d&d for 20 years. I play a lot of games from magic to axis and allies.

Share the spoils : only one card each turn!
Man, mono-green commander just keeps getting more delicious.
2 things....
1. FULL SEND!!!
2. WATCH THE MOVIE VEGGIE
Share the Spoils only allows one card to be played per turn
Two actually. A land and a spell.
@@nomizak it says play a land or cast a spell meaning one or the other. The gatherer rulings on the card clarify this.
@@nomizak this is not true. it says play a land OR cast a spell. One or the other. Sorry
Respect to veggie for the full send
I'm a simple gamer, i see Doric, i click the link
I like your choice of the plainer playmats in the new gameplays, it looks much clearer (:
So the Edric player says “I have to sacrifice three things?” When confirmed he proceeds to only sac two creatures.
Goreclaw, you don't want to know how she got her name.

EXACTLY
You mean I watched for NOTHIN?!
Forge is a bad guy who back stabs people
That's the joke. 😉
Sweet. I've seen the movie multiple times
Fun game. Thanks for sharing
Black market connections is a great card because your opponents might steal it from you and kill themselves.
Who else is glad the extra turns player got kicked out first?
Don't worry Veggie, I haven't had the opportunity to see it either. Good game all.

@@DeckedOutEDH Awesome! Thank you!
Shouldn't the cards owned by other players get exiled when the controller loses the game?
Yeah

Is it possible to buy such oversize card posters somewhere? That's look amazing🤯
That ormendal attack was to make the game go along i suppose
Why under any circumstances, if Airball knew he had the prismari command, was it not cast in response to the esper sentinal... Punt
Other people thinking of the Roman Empire, MTG NerdGirl thinking about the British empire 😂
Whats does nerdgirl keep scribbling down in her handy dandy notebook?
You know what’s better than expropriate? Casting it with 3 additional votes and controlling how other players vote.
This is gonna rock! I can't wait 🎉
I dont think Ive ever seen a Feed The Swarm that didnt come back and bite someone in the ass lol
There were a lot of mistakes during this game, but fun nonetheless
Shouldnt doric be searching a land every time it flips back on upkeep?
Doric's ability is an ETB, and transforming objects remain on the battlefield. Nothing leaves or enters play during this transforming action.
What basic lands are they using
Great Game!

Holy crap someone spelled rogue correctly!
That's the fun part, Forge misses all the shots he takes with it because he's attacking at Disadvantage. It's mostly there for intimidation.
