rubber bands are great for holding the hook and keeping it from coming loose and getting tangled up, we use them on our jugs that we make out of coke bottles
@@darkrayne3402 Not a bad idea. I just ran jugs for the 1st time in Ozarks a couple weeks ago, and didn't know how to stow them. They turned into a tangled mess lol
I have had a 40 pound flathead break 100 pound test so I'm pretty sure there's more than a few that can break that line!!!! The only reason we found out how big he was is because my buddy just got the net behind him!!!
I am sure some big kitties can break the line and it may depend if he was rubbing the line on a root or something or if the line was old? Good thing your buddy got him in a net!
@@DeeplyDrivenOutdoors most definitely agree could have been a rough spot in the line!! I commercial fish and that line might have caught 5 or 50 before it broke. So to be fair could have easily been weakened
@@DeeplyDrivenOutdoors can't name the little river for reasons I think you understand!!! It's a small piece of water!!! And yeah pond raised catfish hurt us for years but rising feed prices has them shutting down so my business is going crazy!!! I sell fresh river cats 5 dollars a pound and Walmart is selling it for 8 so it helps because mine is still flapping it's gills when it gets cleaned and the people are starting to realize that it has better flavor than pond cat!

@@thomaskitlica5572 That's cool! I hear commercial fishing is a dying breed. What area do you commercial fish at?
