- Each winter, riders from across the Midwest make a trek to a remote peninsula in the heart of Lake Superior in pursuit of white gold and hundreds of miles of sledding trails. Follow along as we hear from the locals about what makes Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula a bucket-list destination for snowmobilers.
RIP John Dee. Thanks for all u did for the UP
My wife snd me get the biggest smiles on our faces when we see the lift bridge and the smiles don’t go away until we head south back over the bridge
I worked in the Harbor for a year. Summer tourists are here as a status symbol. Winter tourists....they are here to have FUN! And oh yeah....do they ever! Fun, Fun, Fun!!~
wow that brought back memories !!! such a beautiful location to ride !!!
Great time there visiting and riding. Love it, wish I lived there.
Such a magical place! Can not wait to get back up there!
My wife wanted to go to Florida some how I got her talked into keweenaw , I’ll see you at the beginning of March with my wife and 2 girls, I haven’t been there and I can’t wait
Love love love seeing the familiar faces. Barely even met these people but when you lodge, eat, gas up, etc you see them on a yearly basis. Amazing.
RIP John
We had S❄️ much fun on our day out filming for promotion of the Keweenaw! John Dee is SO right, everyone should experience the Keweenaw at least once ….”problem” is they might not ever want to ride anywhere else! That was exactly how we felt after our first visit many years ago! We made the Keweenaw our “home base” and now ride nearly everyday throughout the season and never ride anywhere else! The Keweenaw is truly magical!
Authentic and Wonderful production!!! So excited for this Season!!!
This is really well done!
Thanks Chris! This was made in partnership with Scott Niska who's an awesome talent.
I was beaming the whole way through the film. Such a wonderful place and so beautifully portrayed!
I have been a Dee fan since day one....Thanks for your service....
Please pressure the M-DNR to fix the Freda Loop Trail. With out that The Bill Nichols trail gets a bit dull, and confines the traffic to the corridor trail.
Awesome place and great clips. One things is true the area is so popular probably don't even need to advertise it.
Love that place!! Be there very soon. Would love to live there year around.
RIP John Dee
Welcome to the UP. Then go home!
