Hasan is the worst offender because not only is he guilty of everything mentioned here such as having his chair react to content he has blatantly took, but he will sit there reacting more to his chicken nuggies than the video, however he goes one step beyond by putting the video he is “reacting” to full screen which obscures the name of content and the content creators channel, he will skip the sponsored adverts and run his own sponsored ad reels over them, and just as the video he is watching is nearing its end he will intentionally cut it off so the content creator cannot self promote their channel and Hasan doesn’t even shout the person whose content he just watched out to promote them. Unfortunately twitch allows this practice as it’s off UA-cam site. 🤷🏻

You forgot to mention one of the other excuses they make is that the streamer is help promoting and it helps increase their views One of Hasan’s fans said that, but the problem is that this was already pointed out before and his reaction barely helped, and the only reason why Lemino had those views is because he’s popular, and then you also have someone like XQC with a big audience, so you could say Hasan got help from XQC to boost more views for the video
Nah this is absolutely true for a lot of smaller creators, especially a lot of the political creatoes hasanwatches, but huge channels like lemmino don't need any "boost" from streamers. Hasan fr needs to stick with the people that want him reacting to their videos. And xqc fr just needs to get a lobotomy or something and quit streaming.

He knows how to spark conversations with his chat about whatever he's watching and actually adds substance to the whole thing. I also have found and subscribed to a few content creators that I wouldn't have known about if it wasn't for him reacting to their videos. Again, that's just how I feel about it.
@@bread9923Just because someone wins something from a slot machine does not make gambling good, if something is good solely because you gain from it then you should have no problem with real world robbery since although someone loses something, someone else gains something.
I think that youtube should add a feature that streamers can watch youtube videos and then have each of their viewers counted as a view on the original video. viewers could also directly like and sub to the creator too. This would be a win win as the creator gets exposure while also profits from the views
I just randomly clicked on this video, what am I even looking at on the screen? He’s talking about streamers over gameplay that’s completely alien, what?
The problem isn’t that they are no reacting enough it’s that they are leeching off of other content creators. No amount of pausing the video for “commentary” is going to un steal that video
I will say guys like Asmongold do reactions how you are supposed to he doesn’t just pause the video to make just one comment he usually has a conversation with his chat about it and puts his own input un
@@hbsavage0387 He can have a conversation without stealing a video. What does he even add, give an example. If a video is about a game, something like ''beating X without using Y'' he could point to the original video and do what was talked about in the vid while explaining the process in his own way. People would still have value in seeing the original, but that's a lot of work lol
I think the way jschlatt went about his reaction for vghs was the way to do it if you want to do a reaction he reached out to the creators and even had them on stream while he was watching got some interesting behind the scenes info
Maybe... just maybe.. we should have let the Fine Brothers at REACT entertainment license and own all the reaction content so it would have DIED back in 2016...
I will never forget watching an XQC reaction and seeing him start the video, LEAVE the room for the first 1/3 of the video, comes back, downs a whole Gyro and coke, and when the video ends says, "okay that was cool chat"
"reactions" being pretty much the same thing as stealing is an old problem. iCucccz, back when he was still kinda cool and based, called out Jinx and The Fine Bros in the Content Cop series, and them being pretty much stand-ins for other such channels, then last year, DarKViperAU went on bit of a campaign against reactions channels and streamers. I don't get it, this isn't anything new, actual creators should've done something already, but it seems literally nothing changes and people keep acting as if it's some new phenomenon
The only reaction contents that are actually good is that when an expert breaks down certain things in something they're reacting to, that would kinda change the way you see those things, either in a good way or a bad way. Like that one old samurai in WIRED mentioning several stances when reacting to some sword fight scenes in some movies. Also, as Lemmino already mentioned, not using the entire vid/film/episode in their reaction vids.
It's about asking permission first. Like I'm sure you definitely got permission from the Pikmin rights holders to user their game in your video before you used it.
I never heard of Lemmino until the drama and checking out his book depository video was fascinating with the amount of effort put into it as someone who enjoys documentary style videos depending on the subject matter. I got a kick out of imagining these streamers with low attention spans trying to sit through an educational video like and shocker, they couldn't because they really could care less.
The fact these streamers make so much money but don't actually do their job is disgusting, while people who have jobs that are dangerous, laborious, and vital to our world can barely get by.
@@hamborger8546 yea nah doesn't work that way bud. If I'm not doing my job you won't have power for your precious devices. Sounds like your just like one of them scumbag streamers
The fact that those low paying and dangerous jobs are paid barely enough to get by has nothing to do with, nor is it decided by, how streamers are paid. Hence why many of these workplaces that are unionized go on strike, or even unionize in the first place. Instead of being angered by some guy who sits at his computer and eats his toenails, be angry at the guy who's paying those jobs so low despite earning probably 15x what streamers probably make

Streamers are the jesters of society. I wish that they knew how everyone views them . Nobody cares about your hardships and problems. I wish streamers didn't trauma dump everything on their viewers' shoulders .
i can only imagine the smell of an XQC or Hasan viewers room 🤢Someone who has enough time to watch someone else watch youtube videos for 6 hours must produce some crazy smells.
I don't really have a problem with react channels... but when you claim to be a react channel and yet you keep the same face throughout your reaction and only say the same 3 responses, then you're not reacting. I also have a problem when people don't acknowledge the person they're reacting to, especially when they don't put the link to their video in the description
I agree with you. Because it's a win win to both of them. The streamer will introduce your channel to the others and the two will get viewers. And i also agree If you're going to react do it properly jeez.
If you already know the situation and want to skip to what Lemino actually says it's at 7:00 - 7:30 Afterwards Optimus rambles on about Streamers until the end.
I propose a way reaction streaming/videos could be supported on youtube/twitch or whatever platform. Streamer gets video link to react to > streamer puts link into some sort of field on his side of the stream settings, twitch acknowledges link, adds whatever amount of viewers the streamer has to the video, then it could also be cooperated by UA-cam themselves, if the streamer during the videoplayback gets any Ads, this could potentially be acknowledged by youtube and basically multiply ad view by amount of viewers and add it to the video creator, he gets ton of view and ad revenue, content streamer gets his reactions, viewers get added to both streamer and youtuber content, and everyone is happy.
I just think it’s scummy for these big streamers to take the hard work of UA-camrs and make money off it while the UA-camrs get little in return most of the time. They’re the biggest content creators on the platform yet they can’t make their own content
That's the main problem with most streamers these days, half of them give a exaggerated reaction for the sake of gaining views or they just stare at their monitor not saying anything until the very end of the video they were watching, the people who react to Smash Bros related content is a good example of this. People who do this type of thing should just make better reactions in general instead of going to the bathroom or eating a big mac from McDonalds.
this has been a problem 13 years ago when react channels like megan reacts first popped up. back then making short sketches and flash cartoons for UA-cam would actually be profitable, but then lets players, vloggers and reactors started coming in and ruined the way these hardworking film makers made money. now youtube is just a cest pool of "influencers"
I managed to finally get all the smooth-brained twitch lames out of my algorithm, and watching this is sure to bring ‘em back 😢 Love your content though
My favorite genre of video is actually reaction videos... by professionals. Like nuclear chemist reacts to making uranium glass, etc. They always have something to add and it scratches the itch of early 2000's infotainment.
The only “react” streamer I watch is Asmon, so in a bubble this feels like a major L take. Outside of that tho if mfs aren’t really reacting I could see how people could be upset by that
Anyone working a fulltime public-facing job has to spend at least 40hrs a week entertaining under far less favourable circumstances, these ppl have it easy \m/
This reminds me of how often people botch about MatPat constantly pausing and talking about the video hes watching. But he does a tualy proper reactions to things. He actively theorizes on the spot and honestly spends more time himself talkimg than whatever video hes watching.... that said there are times i wosh he wouldnt get super off topic during his many pauses. When he had his wife on the couch with him she reigned him in a bit.... until children started attackimg her for "controlling" him. He NEEDED her to keep hom on task.
Lemmino’s contents are top tier! The videography is superb and storytelling is as good as MrBallen. So for the other “mainstream” creators to just sit down and stream his content for the sake of “reaction” is utterly disgusting. The guy is doing a top notch work for each of his videos. These other creators should just focus on their own contents and make it as pleasing as Lemmino’s.
My mum was a nurse she wasn’t paid during her lunch break because she wasn’t working during it. The audacity of streamers who think they deserve to be paid while eating lunch by putting on stolen content and not working.
There are content creators that spend more than 40 hours a week working on a single video that makes them less money than reaction streamers. It's insane how much money they get from doing virtually nothing. Even if they actually put in substantial work, they make a gross amount of money compared to people that work actual jobs for 40+ hours.
I wonder how many youtubers have used this format of talking about past or current dramas with some random gameplay in the background and what changes would we see if it was instead, a background video of puppies playing or something.
its funny too, cuz when streamers who actually react and add things instead of just watching the video while barely saying anything, their chat gets mad. Someone like Imdontaii will constantly pause the video to talk ab it and add his opinion, yknow actually reacting, and the braindead chat will b like "STOP PAUSING STOP PAUSING BRO" like at that point just watch the video by yourself no?

Bro XQC is worse, Hasan was the one Optimus said was different
@@Biscuits2753 Nothing xqc can do will beat hasan leaving a video playing while going AFK to get something.
@@bluelobster4593 bro streamers have to go to the bathroom and I watch him every day and he does that mostly when he’s doing the news of the day
@@bluelobster4593 and xqc straight up said both while watching a 40 minute video and on multiple occasions he’s walked off for longer than 10 minutes while having a video on
@@Biscuits2753 I wasnt aware that XQC did the same, that sucks. But you know what people do when they have to leave the desk to do something? a BRB, not just leave someone else's content playing for your audience like they are an IPad kid
I feel bad honestly I love lemminos content he makes history so much more fun and he shows it in the best way possible
Only streamer I've seen actually react to the content they watch is Asmongold. He'll pause the video and talk about it.
Well not anymore
one of the goats of yt does nothing but talk facts, documentary or not
9:30 Tell that to Asmongold. Dude can make a reaction to a 7 minute video go on for 4 hours.
Not trying to toot his horn too much, but he’s the quintessential example of actually transforming content that he reacts to, especially if it’s a serious-ish video. I actually like watching his reacts cause he gives his thoughts on things very often and quite eloquently
DarkviperAU has entered the chat
You forgot to mention one of the other excuses they make is that the streamer is help promoting and it helps increase their views
One of Hasan’s fans said that, but the problem is that this was already pointed out before and his reaction barely helped, and the only reason why Lemino had those views is because he’s popular, and then you also have someone like XQC with a big audience, so you could say Hasan got help from XQC to boost more views for the video
Ah yes, the old XqC and Moist Method. It would be too easy to make it a companion stream, forcing the stream viewers to also visit the channel to watch the video at the same time, but nah. Too much work
"chat, like, this youtube andy doesn't know how hard it is to press more buttons to set that up. like chat i have a lifestyle to maintain, i have a room to not clean" - xqc probably
Companion stream?
@@demonking86420 Basically you show the time stamp of what you’re watching, but you don’t have the video playing. That way, people who watch the stream also have to go to the source material.

Most of them can't.

how did u like my xqc impression?
They have enough money to pay someone to do it. But they are even too lazy for that
Thank you for calling this out. These people should turn the stream off or make better reactions
''better reactions'' Or they could come up with something original and stop leaching views from people
@kiprasking8581 idk I really like watching asmongold react to things. He genuinely reacts the right way, and I wouldn't want him to stop.
@@bread9923 Not sure if my last comment got sent. Either way it hurts the original video creators. If he had something truly worthwhile to tell, he would be the one spending tens of hours to make a video
@kiprasking8581 imo he does have things worthwhile to tell. Asmon has the ability to come up with very interesting and sometimes thought provoking comments about whatever he is watching.
LEMMiNO common W
I just randomly clicked on this video, what am I even looking at on the screen? He’s talking about streamers over gameplay that’s completely alien, what?
'Game- Pikmin 2' was this done specifically to get a reaction out of nerds like me?
The problem isn’t that they are no reacting enough it’s that they are leeching off of other content creators. No amount of pausing the video for “commentary” is going to un steal that video
True that
I will say guys like Asmongold do reactions how you are supposed to he doesn’t just pause the video to make just one comment he usually has a conversation with his chat about it and puts his own input un
@@hbsavage0387 Also they wouldn't get away with ''good reacting'' to watching a tv show even while pausing every second to thank for the 5 gifted subs
The only good reactors are history reactors. The ones who add to the video and dissect it and give more context.
Anyone else remember when Lemmino was "Top Ten Memes"?
Good times good times
I think the way jschlatt went about his reaction for vghs was the way to do it if you want to do a reaction he reached out to the creators and even had them on stream while he was watching got some interesting behind the scenes info
Maybe... just maybe.. we should have let the Fine Brothers at REACT entertainment license and own all the reaction content so it would have DIED back in 2016...
Who could have known that opposing the fine Bros would mean entering the Bad timeline.
I don't get it, this isn't anything new, actual creators should've done something already, but it seems literally nothing changes and people keep acting as if it's some new phenomenon
any day hasan gets clowned on is a good day
The only reaction contents that are actually good is that when an expert breaks down certain things in something they're reacting to, that would kinda change the way you see those things, either in a good way or a bad way. Like that one old samurai in WIRED mentioning several stances when reacting to some sword fight scenes in some movies. Also, as Lemmino already mentioned, not using the entire vid/film/episode in their reaction vids.
What I hate especially is when they're like
"Im going to the restroom, let me play a video for you to watch".
Video starts at 7:19
"I'm not a content creator dude I'm a streamer, I'm a content stealer."
- XqCOW, 2019.
Bro is just letting his red pikmin die. The poor little guys.
7:09 - he starts talking about the subject matter.
It's about asking permission first. Like I'm sure you definitely got permission from the Pikmin rights holders to user their game in your video before you used it.
That's not even comparable. Cope
Instead of being angered by some guy who sits at his computer and eats his toenails, be angry at the guy who's paying those jobs so low despite earning probably 15x what streamers probably make
5:30 just unlocked a memory from 2019. The first time I saw endgame was on UA-cam. It was uploaded with just a few small changes and I think it might still be up.
they need to do a royalty acquisition agreement for reaction content. unless people are using the content for full talk points like asmon which even then should maybe be placed into a royalty acquisition.
Reaction channel drama? What is this, 2015?
I don't really have a problem with react channels... but when you claim to be a react channel and yet you keep the same face throughout your reaction and only say the same 3 responses, then you're not reacting. I also have a problem when people don't acknowledge the person they're reacting to, especially when they don't put the link to their video in the description
I agree with you. Because it's a win win to both of them. The streamer will introduce your channel to the others and the two will get viewers. And i also agree If you're going to react do it properly jeez.
If you already know the situation and want to skip to what Lemino actually says it's at 7:00 - 7:30
Afterwards Optimus rambles on about Streamers until the end.
😂
I respect lemmino for stating his stance on this drama. Streamers has been abusing the use of his content for far too long.
idk but my heart dropped when the pikmin got stuck with the bomb in the other side of the door
UA-cam literally couldnt care less. They let SSSniperwolf get away scot free
Good ol' Lemmino. Every since he covered memes, you could tell there was talent.
That sucks. His videos take so much time and effort and you can tell. I love his content
It's a crime to not mention the cougar man himself @DarkViperAU, the anti reaction pioneer of recent history.
I was thinking the exact same thing throughout the video
I use to watch Lemmino back when his channel name was Top 10 Memes
All my homies love Lemmino, dude's gone from top-10 meme videos to some of the greatest videos on the platform.
Bro you just talked in circles reiterating the same points, at least show a clip from his video or quote of what Lemmino said.
Reaction streamers now know not to mess with JustLemmino
this has been a problem 13 years ago when react channels like megan reacts first popped up. back then making short sketches and flash cartoons for UA-cam would actually be profitable, but then lets players, vloggers and reactors started coming in and ruined the way these hardworking film makers made money. now youtube is just a cest pool of "influencers"
I managed to finally get all the smooth-brained twitch lames out of my algorithm, and watching this is sure to bring ‘em back 😢
Love your content though
yo chat they hit the second tower, like, thats crazy dud 😐🍿
My favorite genre of video is actually reaction videos... by professionals. Like nuclear chemist reacts to making uranium glass, etc. They always have something to add and it scratches the itch of early 2000's infotainment.
The only “react” streamer I watch is Asmon, so in a bubble this feels like a major L take. Outside of that tho if mfs aren’t really reacting I could see how people could be upset by that

There are no words in any known language that can communicate the amount of sheer joy this news has brought me.
I don’t agree with that at all, I found so many creators just bcs of XQC‘s vids. You said in that video that you will get into that and you didn’t??
Putting a 3 hour video for chat to watch is the equivalent of giving your child an iPad so you don’t have to actually…parent
One of the moments about react people I'll never forget is. Pewds saying he doesn't understand it and then later on what does he do...react.
Reaction streamers are the type of mf that will steal a meme, erase the watermark and pass it as their own.
The fact that people watch a person sit in their room and do nothing all day confuses me
Unrelated to the topic but I love seeing Pikmin as the gameplay. Awesome series fr
its funny too, cuz when streamers who actually react and add things instead of just watching the video while barely saying anything, their chat gets mad. Someone like Imdontaii will constantly pause the video to talk ab it and add his opinion, yknow actually reacting, and the braindead chat will b like "STOP PAUSING STOP PAUSING BRO" like at that point just watch the video by yourself no?
