How can an alternator effect the start unless it left the battery discharged. 1 exception I can think of your alternator is froze and providing resistance.
Park on a flat surface keep your truck brakes disengaged and your trailer brakes engaged use a wheel chock and you can idle all night. No way I would be trying to sleep in temperatures like that
Please sir I have Apu it run fine but the A/c is not working. I tested the fan and the wire is fine . I open my sleep bed and check the motherboard that the a/c get it power from no power. Don’t know if it has a fuse or the motherboard is damaging?

I take the top cover off and unplug the ECU
And let it reset.

My APU always gave me the crank limit error. All the son of a bitch needed was oil, haven't had a problem with it since.

Its a loose coolant wire right on top of your coolant sensor the plugs lose
or check your fault code instead of freezing. plus sleeping naked holds more warmth in with a few blankets.

just apply ur trailer break and release tractor break, that should let u idle

I’m getting a message when I try to turn on heat that says heater disabled by fleet manager. Every seen that or know how to reset it?
The information is in the owners manual. You may need a password to get to that option if it was set by the fleet.

In summer I have the same issue. Apu was running but it was saying low voltage. Did you know what awas the issue?
Mine is running, but it says Crank Limit!
When it shuts off try to restart the Apu five or six times.

Mine do the same thing it cranks but batteries not strong enough
Mine did it, wound up being a bad starter, i would press the start button, go out, pull the cover and tap on the starter with my tire thumper

If u idle and bump your cruise up to bring it barley off idle, your truck should turn as long as u want with no idle shutdown...
