Some places I think you left off. BRAVO! (Italian, much better than Amerigo's), Pho Huong (Vietnamese), Pig and Pint (BBQ), Caet (Fine Dining/Seafood), Basil's (paninis). And the Flora Butcher is amazing, they also sell food there as well. And my personal opinion is there really is a lack of good burgers in the tri county area.
I have been a loyal customer at Blue Rooster for years. They are my #1 Burger place, number 2 is Laid Back Burger Shack in Florence, number 3 is Ed's Burger Joint in Hattiesburg, coming to Fondren soon. My top 3 burger joints. Those three places are hands down the finest burgers in the state. No one will convince me other wise. The people that work at them are amazing and everything is hand made, you cant top that. Daves Triple B, moved into the original Blue Rooster building which is weird but they moved to a bigger location. I wasnt able to visit before the move due to the pandemic, i really miss the old location, but with 3 great places to eat in Flora you cant go wrong. Blue Rooster, Railroad Pizza company and Daves Triple B, that's a winning combination
There are tons of places very close to the trace in Clinton and Ridgeland. If you have any trouble while riding the trace, there is a great bike shop right off the trace in the old town area of Ridgeland called "Bike Crossing." Thats where I bought my bike and they have been great
No BLACK OWN RESTAURANT..... he forgot BULLYS, E&L BBQ, SWEET PIE SOUL FOOD, GODFREY(JAMAICAN FOOD), JERK CITY, HISTORICAL STAMP BURGERS(BEST IN MISSISSIPPI), GLORIAS, ED & RUBBIN Catfish, BOSTON FISH HOUSE, ONE GUY, & GUMBO GIRL.....THIS GUY TRIPPING. HE MISS ALL BEST RESTAURANT IN JACKSON
I gotta go try more but like I said, I live over in Flowood so most of my favorites tend to be on that side of town where I am at. My favorite place though is one guy steak and chicken. I made it a bonus because it’s technically a good truck and not a restaurant. I’m gonna hit up a few of the spots you mentioned and do an update
Are any of these restaurants black owned cuz I would find it hard to believe that none of them made this list in the jackson metro area when Jackson is predominately black. I see you added one at the end but he still didn’t make the top 10 the list, and again I find that hard to believe.
@@LivingInJackson I mean you’ve got the Big Apple Inn, josephines kitchen, stamps burgers, johnny T’s blues and bistro, Zoe’s, Jefferson’s grill to name a few. Just thought it was interesting more black owned businesses in a black city wasn’t mentioned.
Whoever owns the restaurant is irrelevant. Plus this is just his favorites. No one on earth said there weren't any really good black owned restaurants in Jackson 😂
LOU'S. FULL. SERV. High end Southern fare. So good. Kenova is the bomb, high end BBQ and affordable. Spice Avenue for Indian food. Valdez Market in Ridgeland if you want real street tacos. Great Mexican supermarket and butcher shop in there as well.

I own Kenova Smokehouse. Thanks for the shout-out!
Stamps has an amazing burger! I've had burgers all over the South and their burger stands apart! FANTASTIC!
Try Johnny T’s! It’s in the Downtown area. Everything I’ve gotten there has been delicious, but my favs are the seafood beignets and the drinks!
I need to go check it out. Thanks for the tip!
Try chipotle in Flowood, When It Comes
I’ve had chipotle. It’s pretty good, but I don’t think it would be my local spots
