Come on back! We help a lot of people move to the area and one of the biggest reasons people are moving is for retirement. Mississippi is a great state for retirement
Hello I saw your channel and I wanted to let you know that I currently live in the birth place of Elvis u should know where that is and I have been to Jackson a few times very nice place and a very cool natural science museum and your videos are very good and fun to watch thank you for making them
Dear Mississippi builders, why are you not using Mississippi made Viking appliances? 2nd house had Thor appliances (kudos for being made in USA), but they are made in CA. If you are going high end, go Viking.
I am noticing that with new builds, they don't seem to ever offer a real wood burning fireplace anymore 😥that is a deal breaker for us. Is this only possible with a custom build or am I wrong in my observations?
You're correct that you don't see those anymore. I don't remember the last time a saw a new build with a wood burning fireplace. It might be possible to get it without doing a full custom. Reach out if its something you're looking for and I can check around with some builders we work with to see if there might be an option to amend it into the plan of something that is or could be built.
why is everything so open such as the living/dining room/kitchen. I like when have individual rooms. I don't need people walking and seeing my dirty dishes in the sink.
The open plans are just what we see mostly in new construction, but there are some that are a little different. The ones we saw in the Westlake neighborhood of Madison a few weeks ago are a little different with some separation. I really liked those too
@spartamississippi I so agree. That's the main reason I do NOT like the new builds. I have to have a separate living area. The new builds are missing so much character and it seems like the builders take shortcuts. The layouts are weird.

I agree with you on that. I don’t know why we don’t see more Viking appliances in new construction
