I knew that was you!! We got on the same subway after the event! You are literally in the background of my first shot in my early review of this episode 😂
You probably already know this, but Danai and Andrew were actually credited as writers for the series as well as executive producers so i'm sure a lot of the passion behind it comes from them!
@@MovieFusion yeah, i heard that! honestly that comforted me a lot because i know that the characters mean a lot to them so i figured they'd be very protective
@@chasingstars4It’s also why I think Dead City and Daryl Dixon were also solid cuz Norman, Jeffery and Lauren were all executive producers for their shows
As a big TWD fan who has watched every single TWD show they have ever created from the main show to all the spin-off's I've watched EVERYTHING. The Ones Who Live is the show I am most excited about, and I suspect the same is true for lot's of other people as well it's really the most important one. I can't wait to see Rick and Michonne again on my screen!!! Thanks for the review, I'm just glad to hear they have pulled out all the stops for this show because it deserves nothing less to be top-notch spectacular.
Your enthusiasm excitement and love for this show has re-energized my interest and I have a feeling I will be catching up! Keep up the great vids and passion!
The issue with the original is that paying an ensemble cast gets expensive. Especially when characters get raises every year. It becomes unsustainable. That in addition to the idiotic number of episodes they did ruined the show.
i cannot waittttt just seeing rick in the main series finale after so long almost killed me, i’m so so excited to see andy return to this character and 1000% KILL it
Yes!! literally years fans have been waiting ever since Season 9 Episode 5 when Rick left. And that aired on November 4, 2018, so almost 6 years it's been.
I saw you last night in the theatre. It was excellent from opening scene to final shot of the episode. They did a great job without any filler. Every scene had meaning and many times Rick’s emotion was powerful without having to say any words.
I'm glad to know you think it's good considering how critical you've been but it's a little bit scary because either it's really good or really bad. I wondered about the big screen too
I genuinely enjoyed your Series finale reaction so I was hoping that you would also react to the Ones Who Live. And I also agree with you on Gimple’s writing. I know he gets alot of hate but let’s not forget he brought us season 4-6. Six being my favorite season :) I can understand why he had a little fall off in 7-8 because there were so many characters and places to bring to life.. Gimple is strong when he has less people to focus on. Also watching the recent interview it seems like he had many visions however due to time, budget, and availability its just collecting dust in his office. I can’t wait for Sunday! Thank you for the video and see you every Sunday. Be well 🙂
I was so excited when they put TWD on Disney plus here in the UK but they haven't done that with any of the other shows and so we have to wait for some other streaming service months later or dvd like I used to do which is a shame
This excites me a lot but also sucks because I’m unable to get AMC plus or AMC channel in general :( rip I’ll watch the reactions when you get them out though
Hey fusion I’m a huge twd fan but could never bring myself to watch world beyond Do you think watching world beyond is necessary to get the best experience out of ones who live?
All the downsides to the Walking Dead and the Universe I will accredit to Miser Scott Gimple. As long as the Daryl Dixion and the ones who live keep Gimple's involvement to a minimum their shows will be excellent. I could do without Maggie and Hershel so I wouldn't be looking at Dead city going forward.
The walking dead was amazing/budget was fine...maybe you should contact the director the writers and producers the actors the extras the fans and give them your expert opinion..pr this new one also seeings you are the expert..
I disagree about the budget being fine. AMC never officially released any budget numbers past season 2 (which was less than 3 million per episode), but just there's plenty of points throughout the show where you could tell budget was negatively impacting it. I mean they literally threw in 6 "bonus episodes" just to make some extra money during COVID while making relatively simple and cheap episodes. Most shows wouldn't do that. There's been multiple battles cut short likely due to budget, seasons being structured oddly due to budget (Season 7), and other problems. I mean, it's even heavily rumored that the whole reason they ended the show and did sequel spin-offs instead WAS due to budget concerns lol. Thankfully, these new sequel spin-offs have been given LARGE budgets (likely because they are only 6 episodes a season, so they aren't spread as thin), I think it's somewhere around 13 million per episode for The Ones Who Live. Now, I never said The Walking Dead wasn't amazing, I always have said it was amazing despite any budget issues.
I honestly can't recall how long it was because I didn't check the time at all during it, but it felt REALLY long. Definitely at least an hour. I don't know for sure. It's probably about an hour (then 1h30m with commercials)
Fusion be real with me my man, have you read the comics? Are you fully aware of how much better it is? Or you a show purest through and through? Also the end criticism for the spoiler is deffo Ricks missing hand. (No haven't seen it yet.... I wish. Just guessing from the trailer because there's a shot in the trailer that looks like Rick is missing a hand for sure.)
I have read the comics. I actually started the comics back in like 2015 so I was reading the comic material before seeing most of it come to screen. I LOVE the comics, but the TV show is a very different thing to me, and I think is does some stuff better and other stuff not as good. But they are COMPLETELY different mediums of storytelling at the end of the day.
I talk about that at around 11:38. You could probably get away with watching it and still understanding most of it, but you'll lose out on a lot of important contexts. The first episode does a good job of explaining most of what's going on though.
@@franciscoflores3428 yeah I was pissed also when Glenn died so I get it and honestly season 7 and 8 wasn’t the greatest but it picked up again in season 9

The greatest music in the main show was the final scene in the series finale. It’s beautiful.
I agree!
100 percent. That’s the most glorious music ever man. And it seems like that is the theme song for this show
I would also argue for the music that plays during No Way Out (s6 ep9) when they fight the walkers back, its soooo good

The ONLY reason the writing is so good is because Andy and Danai DID it.
Scott Gimple wrote the 1st episode entirely.
