I'm getting ready to buy one. It doesn't really make a difference but does the Bluetooth actually work? The manual says it's not activated but Kawasaki's video highlights it.
Fair and honest as usual. Maybe just a bit on the gentle side. Wider track width an increased suspension travel seemed necessary at this point. Glad luke mentioned it.
I owned a Brute for 10 years, I didn't mind the diff lever because I didn't have to stop and push a button I could just grab the lever on the fly and keep moving. Really enjoyed my 750, had elka shocks and ECU flash and it was pretty damn quick.
Love to see it back after Kawasaki gave us a little scare last year! Was hoping for more than "all cosmetic" tho.. Twin power and Japanese reliability is a good formula, but a few flaws were overlooked. Agree 100% about the suspension and diff lever.. Under the skin it's still dang near the 2002 Prairie 650.
It's funny, some guys love that lever. I've never been a fan though. That engine rocks but agree with you. Would've loved a suspension and chassis update.
not many remember the ole Prairie 650... that was the beast of its day. I remember them comparing it to a 400 EX in terms of acceleration which blew my mind! (still kinda does)
You guys really need to get over your distain for the diff lock lever. It works great and its not an issue to hold it in. Especially if you get the HighLifter kit to lock it on. I've had a Brute Force for 6 years, 8200kms and I've never had a minute of issues.
I completely agree. I've had both styles on different quad throughout the years and I find it way easier to grab the lever on the fly when you need the front locked as opposed to stopping, finding the button, engaging it for the 5 minutes you need it and then stopping and disengaging it when your done. I've never had the need to keep a front locker engaged all day. If I did, I always have zip ties in my bag. Haha
@@EC_ATV_Outdoors Yes you can pull the lever in on the fly anytime you want. It is a friction plate locker that also allows you to feather the locker if you still want a little slip while using it.
@@kyleturnbow3373 you know you can lock the diff on the fly with alot of new ATVs right... and "finding the button". Come on. Its a button, youll know where it is. The lever does work fine... but its no where near as convenient or easy to use as a button.
Interesting your fix for the difflock lever was a lever lock.... lol. A button would do the same thing. And many new ATVs have the ability to lock the diff without stopping.
A step in the right direction, they finally added LED lights nearly 10 years after the teryx had them. Now they just need to update the suspension with arched a-arms and some better shocks and they would be closer to being back on top again as a competitive option. I have both a 2012 and a 2020 brute 750 and you wouldn't know which is which when parked side by side. They are pretty bulletproof and reliable quads, I just wish kawi would get competitive in the market again.
you don't see many of these out on the trails, not because they are bad machines, quite opposite, just that some of the big players do a lot more marketing of their machines, I would definitely look at one of these, they will serve the purpose quite well!

I think a super important upgrade that they missed is better cooling. Add an oil cooler and make the radiator bigger. In stock form, riding in soft sand on a hot day, the stock setup doesnt keep up. I learned that the hard way the first time I took my 2019 out for a ride. Otherwise I pretty much agree. It's not the best at anything, but it's also not the worst at anything
Pen-Lock for the front diff is a must. But it's nice to have the control over how much lock you give the front diff. I personally think it's the best front locker made!
I can't believe the wheels are the same as the ones on the 2008 I bought. It looks better. Nice changes. But it really needs more suspension. The motor is a ripper.
Had a 2018 Brute. Was super fun to ride, but the 4x4 system was not good and difficult to get to engage and the new Grizzly-esk higher pricing takes it out of contention to me. Keep it at the same old price (got mine for $7800 plus tax, tags) for the same old tech, maybe. The ride wasn't bad, but I think Kawi could severely update this machine mechanically. While it is known to be quite reliable, the power from the motor respective of the size of the machine, and the sound is the a huge reason anyone still buys this machine. I sadly traded it in, but ended up replacing it with a 22 Grizzly, which I think overall is a much better machine.
I feel that better shocks could be added by all the makers. Especially on upgraded versions. While CanAm offers Fox shocks on higher end models. The rest are lacking. Suspension , I believe is a winner over “big power” as you can only go as fast as your shocks will allow. Good for Kawasaki for finally giving the Brute Force an upgrade.
