Atherton was spot on - every individual should learn his/her ways by their logical self. Then only one can actually understand their mental evolution. No body can make you better except you.

no match. i was the best 9th/10th/11th standards i was tremendous anti-room cricket playing with stumps. even pitch catch they could not get me out. I did not play sweep because it was tiles and knees hurt. 100% truth! but due to noise it was stopped( by house supretendent)
Don was never a great batsman. He was good but he was not great. He has played most of the matches against England, about 80 percent. The fast pitches suited him as he had played fast bowling since childhood. Playing against just one team doesn't make you a great batsman.

I used to practice the same way but with a backscratcher and a tennis ball up against a wall and it genuinely helped. Sadly couldn't pursue cricket further
The thing to remember is bradman only used to get a couple or three hits in a row also. He just kept doing it for hours as a kid. It still hits the edge of the brick and goes askew every few hits.
@@king_has_no_clothskul8635 Watch footage of Bradman in game - he does resemble Smith (minus the more modern shots and fidgeting). He would get across his stumps and play heaps to the leg side.
Water cooler or water tank ??🤔🤔 Nasser mentions it as Water cooler ,at the start. Another drill ,is to practise ur strokes from 18 yards ,to improve ur reflexes That is what Sachin did at 15.
It's a tank, not a cooler, used to catch rainwater from the roof & used by people in areas where there was no mains water, ie. rural areas. Poms have no idea.

More "Sachin/Kohli is the best" nonsense no doubt. Educate yourself properly and see what contemporary players said about Bradman and how he saw the ball earlier than any batsman who ever lived which gave him an extra split second to get into position. That's what made him the best in 1928 and 1948 and would have made him the best in 2028.

Don Bradman bats like Nasser Hussain & Michael Atherton in his final innings. Bowled for 0 by leg spinner.
💀 😂
To be fair Athers didn’t get to the leggie most the time as McGrath already had him 😂
Nasser finished with a ton at Lords for his last innings.

I remember seeing this at the end of the Adelaide Oval tour and I spent a good 30 minutes practising.
Yeah Me too Mendes I was behind you that day 😂

they both hit it pretty well to be fair

Someone please tell Nasser that's a water TANK, not a water cooler.
No player in the entire history of cricket will replicate the greatness of The Don 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🐐🐐🐐🏏🏏🏏

His Batting Stance was the key 🔑 to connecting the delivery very quick to perfect timing and middling.

Yeah I used to practice with the cut length of leaf of coconut tree

Replicating the legend, very interesting stuff, best of luck to England in the Ashes

I'd have just given up the stupid sport and gone off to do something worthwhile lol
As another commenter said on another vid, please keep uploading these 👍
3:09 😂😂😂
it's pretty similar to Steve Smith batting as well, picking the bat from gully combined with strong bottom hand grip...as fascinating as it gets.
you blind? you cant compare smith and bradmans tecnique: they are chalk n cheese.

@@poocrayon4588 HELL NO. SMITH IS AWKWARD AND STOCKY. BRADMAN WAS NONE OF THAT.
SMITH WOULD HAVE HAD HIS HEAD HANDED TO HIM WITH THAT BODY LINE BOWLING WHERE BRADMAN HIMSELF AVERAGED MERE 55!
@ Calm down, I'm not claiming Smith is as good, obviously based on average he's a little over half as good (which is still great).
doesnt nas just look too cute in his grey suit and thick tie!
lol lol Nasser Hussain starts and demonstrates 'the leave'.
It is great then rereading to him as the don, I can only think of the godfather
Water cooler? It’s just a tank. Nas isn’t a country boy. Funny
Come on England make it 1-1 see you on Saturday..
Your comment, sir. Has not aged well
What year was this ?

why have you not got a golf ball ?
Golf ball is more difficult I think
has everyone gone mad?
Please make it Sir Don Bradman.😊
Tendulkar did that the best
Nobody coached Jack Hobbs either.
Water cooler? Is that what you poms call a water tank?
No not all of us, just Nasser!
Both English player not like
Typical British pompousity, no one can bat like the Don. Especially not these two
Cried off when england bounced him
Still averaged 55

🤣 He would've averaged 200 playing India in the 30s. Ashes were the de facto world championship during Bradman's career.
