- Filipe Mota Battles Hollywood 16 just in time for the deadline of the Primitive skateboarding Am video Daydream. Manny Santiago, Felipe Gustavo, Tommy Fynn, Paul Rodriguez, and Wade Desarmo have a session the day before the Daydream Premiere. Chris Cole was in town and got a session in the park with Paul and Wade. Wade schools Paul in a quick game of Eight Up. Stay tuned for more street skateboarding weekly.

Paul Rodriguez, also known as “P-Rod” was recognized as a prodigy at the young age of 14, only two years after he started skating. His consistency, effortless style and persistence on his board led Paul to travel far from his home town of Northridge, CA to the City Streets around the world as a part of the legendary City Stars team. His passion for skating and filming with his friends led to his breakout part in Logic 6 in 2000, Street Cinema in 2001 and landed him Rookie of the Year in 2002 for his part in Tranworld’s video production “In Bloom.” He turned pro later that year.
Paul bought his first skateboard at the age of 12. When he’s not skateboarding, Paul enjoys studying the lives of influential individuals, including his favorites such as Alexander the Great and Bruce Lee.

The way Filipe stuck the blunt slide after a flip was phenomenal.
He couldn't have done it better. Usually there a wheel rolling onto the locked position but he stuck it PERFECT. He almost did it the first day on both those 2 slams in a row, that one looked like it hurt. The one where he's sliding on concrete around the 45 second mark

The raw emotion from Filipe after that is what skateboarding is all about. That's someone who puts everything on the line for this shit. So much love for him

The emotion makes sense though. The kid blacked out, he didn't even realize he landed the trick until seconds after he rolled away. It's a crazy experience. Dave bachinsky said the same happened to him when he kickflipped el toro. Chris cole said the same too when he rolled away from wallenberg. Happens frequently when skaters are attempting very high level stress inducing tricks repeatedly.

Watching these guys skate. is absolutely bonkers. They make it look so easy even though it’s some of the best in the world skating in this little warehouse. I wish I never stopped skating. My mind absolutely remembers how to skate, but my body doesn’t let me. 45 years old. Wish I never quit.

He kept pushing that reg blunt than tossed in the flip to land it to get momentum going
Yeah only a dkater knows what calculations need to be done to make a trick and alot come in play the flip the slide how far you got to gap in to the trick the angle but alot math actually these kids are new level compared to the 2002 and 2005 but when your kid you don't fall as hard as adult so feel like your prime in your 19-24 cause now you got power in your legs and as kid you just keep pushing your boundaries until you can't
