I have another theory. Diamonds in real life are created under immense pressure. Now, what else is currently under immense pressure? The cluster. That's how diamonds are made. When I saw the image of the bubbled cluster, the surface seemed extremely smoothed out. I have a feeling the cluster will come back. Maybe Steven will send it to space and it will reveal to be a new diamond. You have to admit that that would be AWESOME

Well I didn't say it was a solid theory. I do think it would be cool. Like maybe the diamond is being made in the center or something. But again. It's just speculation and I think it would be a cool addition to the plot

Bandie Yeah there are no villains because the Homeworlders don't think that what they do is wrong. they see it as the only way to advance their race and keep living.
I think Bandie means that even if it turns out that there is another specie(s) fighting Homeworld,they won't be THE true villain either.
Just because they have reasons to be the way they are doesn't mean they're not evil. They have done terrible things in case you've forgotten, and continue to do so. Villains usually have a purpose, but it's a flawed one that doesn't justify their actions.
Eh.When the villain tries to question our concept of right and wrong are the ones that step out of the "usual".

AwestruckVox, I have a new theory, I think the corruption can be cured by living on Earth ( kinda crazy right?), The corruption is a mind distortion, and Steven said "They don't remember who they used to be." Then, they by living on Earth, they can re-invent themselves so they can become Crystal Gems and help Steven and the Gems to fight Homeworld ( The Famethysts would betray the diamonds easily since they love Amethyst).

I don't think we'll see White Diamond until season 5 but if the leaked plots continue to be true, we'll see Pink Diamond in a flashback or something and hear her speak this season.... and steven will enter the minds of corrupted gems in his sleep to attempt to heal them. He'll probably see Pink Diamond in Jasper's mind
This isn't a good theory, but there's one problem. If Sneople do exist, wouldn't peridot, or lapis, or jasper or any gem have at least mentioned them in passing? Cuz homeworld being at war with snake people is a pretty big deal, and I'm pretty sure at least peridot would know about them.

I think its a civil war, White vs Blue and yellow Diamond, which would explain why no mention is made of white diamond, as well as the reason why resources are limited for gem production, particularly for Blue and Yellow's respective courts. They are cut off on their own, while White controls more resources to dedicate to fighting.

This actually seems like a viable theory. You never cease to amaze me roundtable. It makes sense. Rebecca Sugar herself once said that the Diamonds aren't meant to be villains or really even bad guys, they're just not on Stevan's side. So I could see this being the opportunity for Steven and the Crystal Gems to reconcile with home world and for them to become allies following the general formula of the show, find an enemy, show them what it's like to not be an enemy sort of thing. Then you know everyone lives happily ever after :). Of course that's just me but I agree with you is what I'm saying XD
from the beginning when we first find out about the diamonds i thought that white diamond was a fusion between yellow, pink, and blue diamond...because yellow, magenta, cyan combined makes white, in color theory....and they cant form white diamond anymore because pink was shattered....idk just what has been lingering in my head since the first bits of info we had about them.

I wouldn't say it's impossible, but if the gems are truly battling against sneople for independence then they're humongous hypocrites.
That's a good theory. I often thought that the gems had to either been created or uplifted by a greater alien race. For example, the protoss and zerg races were uplifted by Amon's Xel'Naga, the xenomorphs were possibly created by the Engineers, and the "creators" created the Cybertronian (Transformer) race. Sentient gems couldn't have been created naturally. A car can't go anywhere without gas or electricity, Bilbo wouldn't have gone on an adventure if he had never met Gandalf, so there's no way the gems could've evolved on their own.
I think white diamond is gone into hiding from the other diamonds, she is a traitor because maybe most gems either don't know about her or its bad to mention her. Just a thought

I've always had the theory the Diamonds stopped paying attention to earth and evacuated it was because of corruption, and that White Diamond was the first corrupted, but in a different way. She became crazy and covered in stained colors, and was locked deep within home world, as Blood Diamond.

I'm of the belief that no matter how smart a narrative-driven show is, the people in charge tend to be writers, not scientists. Look deep enough, and you'll almost always find loose ends.

Maybe she does know about it but didnt feel the need to bring it up. She said Resources on Homeworld were dwindling. That could be because they are starting to just use up their resources or are using all their resources to fight "other" enemies. but still she probably would have brought it up right? This has been a rather popular theory for a while, and I can see why. Originally I believed that Homeworld wanted to reactivate the Kindergarten on Earth and re-establish the colony because Homeworld was a dying world, but as the series progressed, there have been small hints that Homeworld's interests in Earth have been renewed for a different reason entirely.
We currently see Homeworld and the Diamonds as the main threat, the show has built up to it since Lapis Lazuli first appeared, but there are very small hints that Homeworld isn't really the main threat, even if they have committed atrocities that are pretty ugly. If this is the case, then eventually the Crystal Gems and Homeworld would have to work together towards the end of the series, but that's still quite some ways away.
Random thought here, but...
Since white diamond has never been mentioned by name, we don't even know that her name really is white diamond. We just assumed that it was white diamond because of blue diamond and yellow diamond's names.

very strong points made.... maybe more so when he says that the corruptions are supposed to be weapons. that's initially what Jasper was collecting them for, to help her fight the crystal gems. so for the corruptions to vary in size and "intentions" makes sense. (the heaven and earth geode are both corruptions as well)

OMG I JUST WATCHED ROCKNALDO. He went on about rock people. And I remembered this video. The gems fight rock people. oh my god if the war turns out to be against sneeple as well as pointing out that in the future the crystal gems are probably gonna help the diamonds fight whoever in this war their desperate for resources to aid in.

My theory: The Diamonds are responsible for moderating different aspects of homeworld society, and the different stages of conquering planets. With my speculation based on the designs, personalities, and roles of Diamonds and their subjects;
Blue Diamond appears to be responsible for enforcing the strict hierarchy of the society, and building their society up on the new planets.
Yellow Diamond appears to be in charge of the military, the wars, the "muscle" of homeworld. She enforces her role using a more fierce and cruel type of intimidation.
White Diamond appears to be the overall ruler of the society, and the planner of how they develop. She may also be responsible for the creation of new Gems, overall: she manages the first stages of each new homeworld mission.
Finally, Pink Diamond appears to be responsible for the replenishment and healing of resources; she allows for homeworld to regain everything they lost during their wars and travels.
The Diamond authority worked successfully for years with this balance, but it has been thrown off with the loss of Pink Diamond. While it is unclear whether the loss of Pink Diamond ignited, or ended the war, homeworld retreated and is running out of resources due her role no longer being fulfilled. (It is actually likely that this event started the war, as it would have motivated more Gems to rebel, and would provide reasoning for homeworld's surrender)
Meanwhile, Blue Diamond is not properly enforcing her role due to mourning, and the society is further decaying, maybe giving reasoning to the Quartz soldiers at the zoo lacking loyalty to homeworld.
Just an interesting idea that I've been developing for a while, although Awestruck's theory is more stable than this. Hopefully my speculation will inspire other theorists, who may even predict the rest of the show's storyline.

During the song the line that caught my attention the most was "an agate terrifies, a lapis terraforms..." Mainly cuz after listening to it a couple time I remembered what the earth would've looked like if homeworld gems succeeded in conquering it. And we all know that lapis doesn't talk a lot about herself. What if that was what she was made for?

That's a nice theory you got there, but consider the following: Black Diamond.
Theory #1 What if the enemies were Metals. like instead of gemstones they have pieces of metal. copper,iron, platinum, titanium, or gold! #2 Or what what if homeworld fighting against a even stronger gem The Emeralds #3 They are fighting against other diamonds that controls other colony's across the universe.#4 White diamond is corrupted, dead, or she is too scary for anyone to say her name.
I really appreciate trying to support yourself, and that you have to ask to receive.. but I think spending 2 minutes explaining how and what to do and what you get, it really alienates new viewers.
Steven Jr. is the true enemy, he's out making babies to build an army while the Crystal Gems are distracted by homeworld.
Considering the size and power of the diamonds, whom ever or whatever created them has to be absolutely massive and ridiculously powerful to do that... the idea of something that big and bad just floating around in the universe is kind of unsettling
I give you an A+ for effort on this idea, but this is something I wouldn't see the crewniverse doing. Also personally I wouldn't like this happening.
