I don’t even own one of these, but your excellent tutorial really clearly explains a lot of commonly used terminology which people often take for granted as known. Thanks man
VERY HELPFUL... BEEN SLIGHTLY STUMPED ON THE MODS N FILTER PARTS. SHOULD HAVE READ MORE IN THE FUNNY MANUAL. HOWEVER THIS WAS WAY MORE FUN. YOU TRULY ARE A SAINT OF SYNTHESIZERS!
By far the most informative tutorial on this machine out there. Had it for a while and you've helped me bring it from drum machine to performance tool. Many thanks!
Yes. Punchy sound + incredible "motion sequencing"______i've worked on ultra Detroit techno (old school sound (like Andy Garo's posts) l. I ve made """"trrrrrap"""" beats. It is a groovy punchy sampler.
@@sureleyyy do you know where to find resources like .esx files or expansion packs? Maybe a website or channel? I own both and really wanna dive in and use them, but a lot of the terminology is lost on me... Thanks in advance
@@NeonArtifact @Charles Hall ive seen one guy on youtube who pushes their own sample packs that can be loaded through smart media cards, I think you have to pay for them, you can also get the factory sounds off of Korgs website. However, if you have the ESX you can just record directly into it and create your own samples and you dont have to worry about using outdated media (smart media), you could record a drum kit and then chop it up in the sx. Ive made a few things on my channel where I recorded stuff into it if you wanna see some examples. Hope that helps. I can try and find that guys page somewhere.
One 3 wheel car : You_ leonDuStar_ danielsnowballKlerr. Me? I just compose filthy house and 'trapp"y stiffstuff This machine (had it in a kind of affair... (one dx11+one mpc ) is by far one of the best samplers ever. Sp404 is great but too wacky. Mpcs are way too xpensiv,,,, my w30 was ok in 1995... ensoniqs are killers. But THEY FOR SURE WANTED TO MAKE ONE ESX1. . (hey... the life that motion sequencing gives to your most str8 shit is like water and plants....~) :)

nice Tutorial, easy to understand .. like as u describe Resonance with .. "Around" .. i could really see that.....
Thank you pal. Quality tutorials.
Such a great video series - thanks!
As I understand, the bandpass + let's everything pass unfiltered "plus" the band assigned by the bandpass cutoff. Sort of like a one band booster.
Hey kk junker, great vid! I used the SX for a live set last week and found it super versatile. Do you use Sawloops to load samples onto its memory?
Hi kkJunker, how to record the filter? There is any reason? i try it yesterday, but still no record the filter motion.
Still worth buying in 2021?
Yes. They are still awesome, memory doesn’t matter. Sound, reliability and workflow does.
