My impeller pins broke today, we received about 6” of heavy wet snow this morning.
I have the same problem and same machine!
    Thanks for sharing your experience.

Thanks Tom for taking the time to make this video. I had the same problem with my Murray snowblower and your 10 minute video took me through the process with a great overview, and gave me the courage to fix mine at home. Total cost was two roll pins from Murray ($6:00)!
I was contemplating tackling the repair without instructions, but after giving the auger assembly a look-over decided I'd better find for a repair video, and hope like hell that someone had made one. I couldn't have done this job without your help!
    Thank God for the internet.
It's definitely a repair that has to go step by step in the right order, and knowing when to use force!
Thanks again Buddy. I owe you!

Thanks for the video it was very helpful. I have a 5.5hp version and the impeller roll pins snapped on Monday during the Nor'easter. Parts cost less than $2.00USD but the video was priceless!!!

Very helpful . Thanks Tom. I'll attempt this tomorrow. Very awkward for you trying to do the mechanical work AND the camera at the same time...

Thanks so much! Helped me understand what’s at play with the impeller that’s just spinning from friction on the driveshaft but stops under any resistance (snow from the auger).

Great video to help walk me through this repair. I saw other people say you could go through the snow chute without taking it apart, but no idea how you'd get the leverage you need if the old pins were really stuck or to drive new pins in the holes all the way back up in there. Even if other people had success, this wasn't tough to do and I now know how this machine actually works! Thank you for taking the time!

I fixed mine last weekend. The old pins were really really stuck. I bought a pin punch, disassembled the chute, and put a socket and socket extender bar on the punch. Then I whacked on the extender bar with a hammer. Not ideal, but what I had. Getting the pins out was actually easier than getting the new ones in, but it worked, and I was able to blow away the little snow we had the next day as a test.

Same model but I'm stuck at pulling the pulley 3:40. The shaft moves a few mm but won't slide out. Pulled out the set bolts, added a little wd40. No rust. Not sure what's holding the shaft.

If the set screws have been removed. there shouldn't be anything else except corrosion holding it on...the WD40 should do the trick. if all else fails get yourself a gear puller for $20 at Harbor Freight

I kinda wish all blowers came with a handy tool box like that one. Also, you might want to check those shear pins. They don't look right to me. Seem like the scraper bar and shoes are a bit worn too, lol.

Make sure you use a lot of anti seize. Makes everything come apart easier next time. Or the next person that owns it

How did you get the auger assembly back through the bearing?? Mine is so incredibly tight. do you hammer it back in? I have no clue and we have a huge snow storm coming! I had to replace the impeller pins that broke and now its in pieces in my garage! LOL HELP!!

I did not have any problem with it. Perhaps the impeller shaft has some corrosion that needs to be cleaned up?

Would have been easier to watch, and I'm sure easier for you to work with both hands, had you mounted the camera on tripod. Otherwise, good video.

Wow people STOP you do not have to take whole auger assemble apart to fix broke tension pin, or spend hours with a hammer. Did mine in 5 minutes or less . Used a (Craftsman Nextec Hammerhead Auto Hammer 12v Lithium). and it fit in nicely . Blew the new tension pin in and pushed old one out in seconds . Hope's this helps all.
