How to Build a Wooden Bench

When the wife says she wants a couple of wooden benches for the outdoor patio, Pops, aka Ruben, with Tools 4 Guys, comes to the rescue...because we always remember, happy wife, happy life! Lol :-) Here is how to build a wooden bench for your outdoor patio, a very sturdy, long lasting wooden bench.
List of Cuts Needed
(double check dimensions as you build and assemble)
1”x4” :
Bottom brace - 44-1/4”
1”x6” :
Seat- (3) 46” long
Back- (3) 46” long
Sides - (6) 20-1/2” long
2”x4” :
Arms - (2) 23-1/2” long
Leg Base - (2) 24” long
Back Top - 51-3/8” long
Legs - (8) 21-1/2” long
Note: cut 45 degrees and join them to give a 4”x4” look

(NOTE: Hitachi has Rebranded to Metabo, so make sure to search under Metabo or use the link below. If you buy the rebranded version, which is the same model, it is usually less than the older version name, Hitachi.

I really like how you did the legs, using two 2x4s, cutting a 45 degree on each of them and then joining the two. It really gives it a rugged and sturdy look. Great job!

I have seen some DIY videos on outdoor wooden benches but many of them seem very basic. I really like this design and that it looks very sturdy, and I love the idea of the wheels on them. Great video!😎👍
