I do not know what to say...., words are useless. I did not thought to see someone else can sing in the Vangelis style, not in our generation. It's simply stunning beauty. Congratulations
a sound full of stars...I come here and I must hear this. you make your own interpretation of vangelis and I like this more as the original. a masterpiece! cheers marko
I just discover your channel... incredible. In fact, you play as the master ! I love. Excuse for my english, and I wish you understand my mind : I really find here the Vangelis universe. Same sounds, same slow and attractive environment. CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!
The second one is so wonderful, it embraces me with a sweet warmness, something which provides me a place to be placid. Fantastic creation, as perfect as Vangelis ones.
I love Vangelis and it is wonderful to find someone who is so inspired by his work that they would create such lovely pieces. thank you fo rsharing this with us.
thats how I compose just play here and there and then something just pops up and then you wish you got your video out or something to catch the idea great work you have inspired me to do the same
@tomscruiser Thankyou for the kind words, hope your ESQ is running well! Its an amazing synth, but must be worked at to achieve the potential, it has such a unique sound:)
@eXXXXos cheers:) very simple setup- synths go into mixer, the mixer has a long hall reverb which goes straight into ableton as audio . I can never understand fx send/returns , too confusing for me . I never get a clean sound this way, it may sound warm but an engineers nightmare:) When playing or messing about I usually record exactly what i'm hearing at the time with outboard fx, downside is that it is set in stone so to speak.
I check out your videos every so often. I just noticed that we are both using the ESQ for piano. I have an ESQm though and I use my microkorg for a controller. Check out the piano patch in Transoniq Hacker Issue #39 It's really great! Keep jamming!
Vangelis approach, true, yes, but by improvising along you will reach your own style, probably, these old analog sounds fits well, nice chimes! I would love your album, if you have.
Don't think Mick will mind if I help here. OSC tuning is most of it. Saw on all OSCs. De-tune using FINE. OSC1 by 3, OSC2 by 4, OSC3 by 2. Filter Freq set real low. Wheel to filter set at 63. Wheel opens up filter which expresses sound quite nicely. There is also a slight LFO to OSCs. It's very subtle though and most don't pick up on it. Hope that helps.
Brilliantly done! If Vangelis is the king, you must be his crown prince! I love how you fiddle with Vangelis' sound and style, creating something similar, yet different. Thanks for sharing this with us, and keep up the good work. PS Ever thought of publishing some of your work - covers as well as your own compositions...?
Vangelis lovers everywhere will come here and love this. Well done friend.

Excellent in every way :) I've always been a fan of the way Vangelis worked... it feels much more "organic" than being entirely written on a computer.
